i think its just the gopro hiding the steepness of the situation but im pretty sure I'd prefer an icy tree filled chute to the gnarly rock lines you're always skiing lol. it was especially funny to watch you ski through the sharkiest terrain i've probably ever seen in a section of the video titled "enjoying being alive". you're a sicko dude keep it up and please make sure you stay safe!
I'll share a word of advice from a 37 year old aggressive skier. Ski too the conditions if you want to ski another day. Single best advice you'll ever receive from a skier.
ANYONE can ski what he’s going down, it’s pretty standard intermediate skiing. I was crushing Jackson Hole, Vail, Snowmass, Steamboat etc when I was 10 years old. If you can ski the park you can ski big mountain and backcountry. Don’t sell yourself short!
brother , ur insane , today i was watching ur vids and was like man i miss his uploads and BANG he strikes again ! keep it up ur skill is through the roof !!
I remember being at Whistler and thinking damn who the F skied that line, now I know haha So many sick lines, just absolutely great skiing and one of the best places to ski and mtb!!
I was gonna say that this is awesome and that's what it's all about. Scaring the shit out of yourself and ripping the day away.... Until about 2 minutes in!!!! 😧 I'm a northeast guy and been the Whistler quite a few times. Had the same snow conditions. Dropped into a steep bowl that was rather narrow compared to Whistler bowl, to traverse over the next ridge to hit a narrow rock wall chute. On the traverse there was already a narrow track made from previous skiers/boarders. We couldn't make our own because of the snow conditions. The lead guy (riding with both skiers and boarders) ended up stopping and jamming us all up 2/3 way through the bowl. I board, I was facing forward towards the bottom of the slope. I had to unstrap to walk the rest. If I bent over my ass would hit the slope and push me forward almost sliding down. I wouldn't care if it was powder, but it was that same snow. No ending would be good if I fell and slid. Needless to say, we made it to the chute. Nothing but ice left after previous people had been there. The entire experience was nerve wracking and a big lesson. But we got ourselves through it together. Keep ripping and stay safe out there man! ❤
I was wondering If you know some good bindings for skis. Ive been looking to get some actual good skis but i dont know what bindings to look for. Thanks!
Your ability to find and read lines on W/BC is off the charts. Really enjoy watching your reels. Thanks for posting. PS. Where is the location of the sketchy first part of the video?
around the 2 min mark I know exactly that feeling xD Had a similar thing happen years ago and ended up going down instead of hiking out and blew out my knee for the season after falling down a 10ft cliff right on a rock 🤣
The things you can get away with out west due to 'so much snow' haha Have you seen East Coast gnar, bro? ;) Seriously though, given how steep this looks on video, damn dude.
If you make the snow actual white it will tend to get blown out in the bright spots. I’m sure I could make it look closer to real life if I really tried but I’d have to adjust settings for every day. Also on cloudy days like that the snow tends to have a yellowish look in person too
That was the scariest thing you’ve ever done on skis? Keep at it though, you’ll get there! And invest in a transponder or some sort of back country tech gadget to make sure you can be found! I’ve had some close calls with avalanches.
There was a time in my life that I aspired to do trails like that and that I indeed did some sketchy stuff... (but never as well as you) that time has passed. Too fat for that now. Gimme some nice groomers and moguls... I'll leave the heart pounding adrenaline rushes as but a memory and a thing for you youngsters now.
This fellow is skiing a needlessly difficult line through the trees and rocks on an otherwise pretty negotiable pitch that serves neither him nor the observer in any useful, explanatory way.
That was literally the only way through impassable cliffs and I didn’t wanna hike back out. Pretty much had no option. If you don’t think the video is useful then don’t watch it
while i love skiing trees, that shit just does not look fun. youre basically climbing down the hill on skis. not even skiing. great for you but no interest here,
Can you explain more what was so sketchy about that part? I mean I get the obvious, but when I consider most of what you’re skiing in these videos, it didn’t seem as scary as you were acting. I guess bad conditions in that spot make it extra spicy. I’m genuinely asking btw.
This is a good question. What made it so skechy is all the trees and sharp branches in the runout which meant you couldn’t have any speed out of it. Then it was this super curved chute so only your tips and tails are on the ice while your underfoot is floating over rock. If I slipped at any time I probably would have gotten injured. I found the consequence of messing up that even more than messing up something like air jordan. Also the snow was bad. Those are some factors that made it terrifying. Also the overhead risk was pretty sketchy In that spot because it was warming up after fresh snow so an avalanche or pillow could have come down at any time

Some of the best vids on TH-cam

Ski to your ability, don’t be afraid to push it but know your limits.
If there’s snow on the ground you can ski it.
Nice skiing...I like the look backs with the camera to see what you came down, lots of Blackcomb lines in there!
The fact he says that was the sketchiest shit he's ever skied and then drops down a 20foot+ cliff with pillows right after 😂
Hey bro for reals you are a great channel to watch! We want to see you ride for many more years, be careful out there man
your videos make me realize no matter how good i am at park i will never be able to this kinda gnarly shit. major props great vid

Thanks! Glad you enjoy. More coming soon
Definitely survival skiing. No room for error. I felt that. Good shit!
excellent "survival" skiing !! steep and exposed with ice always makes for some heavy breathing and careful, methodical movements. good shit!!!
The coffin looked nasty. Wow. Incredible the way you handled that. Just full of rocks and firm conditions too.
That was actually 2m gully in spankys. They look very similar though
Ahhh, yes. The top was really bare. I didn’t recognize it!
Between the dense fog, the narrow drops and the avalanche this is both crazy and awesome
Skied WB for the first time a month ago. Absolutely amazing ski area! Soooooooooooo sick!!!!!

That sounds like a wild time! I’ve definitely had more moments like that than I’d like haha. Thanks for watching
You're absoutely nuts man, my goodness bro!!! 😳🔥
The fact that you finish on a mini golf course makes it that much more surreal
Another insane vid, the lines you ski are just stupid impressive! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
This entire video gave me anxiety...you're a mad man!
I just can’t get enough of your skiing videos I watch every single video on my school computer at school lol
Thanks! Love to hear it
I was wondering If you know some good bindings for skis. Ive been looking to get some actual good skis but i dont know what bindings to look for. Thanks!
I use pivots for downhill and shifts for touring. Don’t have experience with many others. The pivots are quite nice
Thanks!@@BCmtb
It’s been a sketchy year for snow
Where in whistler is this?
Your ability to find and read lines on W/BC is off the charts. Really enjoy watching your reels. Thanks for posting.
PS. Where is the location of the sketchy first part of the video?
Its under peak chair, to the left 3/4 of the way up
I love it! Chasing that pucker factor.
THE TREE WELLS 😬😱😳
"Snow is weird" famous last words
That's the blue trail, should have tried the double black one.
Can't wait for the next video. Hopefully of the crazy shit I'm guessing you did with all that pow last week? 🙌
Yup definitely got a good video recently. Still working my way though older footage though
Sweet skiing but how do you manage without powder baskets in all that?!
GoPro really needs to work on making sure they're cameras are giving justice on how gnarly these lines are.
Seems like the lens makes that look much less steep than it was.
Yah the gopro effect was strong on this one
that is some heavyy lookin snow at the beginning i must say
was this cbc trees? Where is this?
@@PhaseVr-Index super far right of cbc trees. Don’t plan to go back anytime soon lol
Full on Adventure skiing!
Love your content bro, I really hope I can get to your skill level one day
you find some beautiful lines
Yo brotha nice vid as always..finally making it back to Whistler next week after many years, any rec's on what's good right now?
Pretty much everything is great other than Lower mountain where everything is pretty thin still. Peak has been great and Blackcomb alpine too
Thanks brotha! @@BCmtb
@@DDawg1144 no problem. Hope you have a great time!
Goddamn gopro effect
Also the majority of that snow was wet af lol u gotta do those lines on normal conditions
yo u know its intense when he does coffin for warm up
Sketch! Is this CBC? I stick to the one route I know to avoid places like this.
best skiing ytber i swear 🙌
What trail is this?
It’s not really named but it’s off Crystal chair
around the 2 min mark I know exactly that feeling xD Had a similar thing happen years ago and ended up going down instead of hiking out and blew out my knee for the season after falling down a 10ft cliff right on a rock 🤣
This kinda looks like apocalypse. If so, then nice skiing 1:57

What skis are those?
Atomic bent chetler 100
Stoked for this vid you’re an animal!
I have the same exact skis and bindings are you i love my BBSKiS
where?
Really really good video. Had a similar line yesterday at meadows.
where?
@@TheJDoyle42 I think it’s called elk! Fun little tree skiing just have to go through a gate at the top
@@TheJDoyle42 unless you were asking what resort. The resort is called mount hood meadows in Oregon.
@Altafan21 Thats my home mountain👍
@@adamreimche-vu6898 nice
Man, do I ever want to live near here.
looks like an average day at MRG
no way u called taht a warmup. and where was that?? and where was 4:20
4:20 was off of Crystal in far cbc trees I believe
I think bro doesn't know what treewells are.
This guy rips
Are you on benchetler 110s?
These are the 100s
What was it recorded on?
GoPro hero 9
claustrophobic skiing
0:20 - 0:40 One wrong move and it's bye bye.
I also like to ski the green slopes.
The poles tho 😍
what skis do you have?
Atomic bent chetler 100
@@BCmtb okay thanks
Where is this line?
Off of Crystal. Far cbc trees I believe
so much for a "warm up"
that is definitely sketchy af. hats off. i know exactly what that shit looks like in person, and you're a psycho. and i say that with love.
отличный дропы, да флюидности нет совсем, но контроль максимальный
can you give me a pair of powder skis that you dont use, if you have ?
you think he's just gonna give you some skis 😭
@@spencerethingtontbf you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take😂

Mandatory tree hugs between side stepping is not skiing... it's freaking out.
