  • What a nutritionist eats in a day healthy, easy, realistic vegetarian + intuitive eating!
    It's time for another what I eat in a day as a French nutritionist video! In this video, I show you a full day of eating as a nutritionist and vegetarian. I'm also an intuitive eater, so I like to honor my cravings of the day and listen to my hunger signals. This is a realistic what I eat in a day, even if this obviously varies a lot day-to-day, so my meals don't represent what I eat every day. I try to have mostly healthy meals but it's also important for me to listen to my cravings and satisfy my emotional hunger as well. I also like to have quick and easy meals, which doesn't mean they can't be healthy! I also show you a mini grocery haul of healthy and organic foods.
    Hope this insight into a nutritionist's plate was helpful.

    Love watching these old little videos… am turning into a Lucie groupie… but all kidding aside, can’t thank you enough. Your channel and your guidance and videos have and continue to have a really positive impact on my relationship with food and how I now eat. And so many things for me have improved. Your channel is benefiting so many of us across all ages. You really do deserve the largest of followings - your guidance is real and authentic and hugely beneficial. Thank you!

    Yes, as an American who eats too fast, I would LOVE to see how you eat. I know it sounds lame, but American culture is based around speed and accomplishing a lot in a short amount of time. Eating gets condensed into a short time, so we overeat as a result.

    Hi Lucie, thank you for your precious video. I came from a background of unhealthy eating, undereating, always grumpy and hungry. After I found your channel, I tried my best to replicate your plate and it made a huge change in my life. My weight is falling off slowly, and I am happier despite the lack of sleep due to the nature of my work. Thank you.

    Thank you so much for your videos and common sense approach to food...It's so great to see people who take a non diet approach to food and weight...Re your "snack"...Do you find it helps to have a small meal between lunch and dinner? I've often heard it's the secret to not overeating at dinner (if you eat a little something at 3 or 4pm.).

    When you said Tofu and Kombucha, I thought it was Japanese Konbu cha (It’s seaweed with umami powder for soup and tea. It’s common here.) But when you came back home from the organic shop and showed us the Kombucha bottle, What is that? I was very surprised xD I checked it on the internet. Very curious about the tast! Is it a healthy drink? Very wondering too!

    Dr. Greger is very popular among us American vegans. He has a daily dozen list of foods he recommends we try to aim for eating every day. He recommends one serving of cruciferous vegetables every day. As a person with hypothyroid disease I learned that I can only eat cooked cruciferous vegetables. He lists all the cruciferous vegetables on his app. I found out there are lots more cruciferous veggies than cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and brussels sprouts! His list includes arugula (rocket), collard greens, horseradish, kale, kohlrabi, mustard greens, radishes, mustard greens, turnip greens and watercress. Does this mean I can't eat ANY of those raw as a person with hypothyroid disease?

    It is best to eat fruit before a meal and not as dessert because fruit digests quickly and grains and vegetables more slowly, animal proteins digest even more slowly. Otherwise you will get fermentation in the intestines.

    • @Edukalebylucie
      @Edukalebylucie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Science doesn't actually support this !

      @@Edukalebylucie You mean the science according to the food industry. The food industry is not independent! I always eat my fruit first and this has solved all my digestive problems.

    • @dinikrasniqi4541
      @dinikrasniqi4541 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Edukalebylucie Ayurveda strongly stands against eating any fruit after having your meals at any time of the day. The basic reason behind this is that eating fruits can directly disrupt the ongoing digestion of the food eaten.

    • @dinikrasniqi4541
      @dinikrasniqi4541 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Edukalebylucie "From an Ayurvedic perspective, fresh fruit is considered very light and easy to digest - comparatively lighter than other foods. When it is eaten with (or after) heavier foods, it stays in the stomach for as long as the heaviest food takes to digest. As a result, it generally stays in the stomach for too long, is “overcooked” by our digestive juices and begins to ferment (think a bucket of ripe fruit sitting in the sun)," explains Dr Dixa Bhavsar, Ayurveda expert. This leads to creation of food toxin which could lead to digestive trouble.
      "In Ayurveda, this resultant over-cooked, fermented mess is referred to as “Ama” or improperly digested food toxins. This damp, acidic waste accumulates in our digestive tract where it can affect our digestion - hampering the excretion of our digestive juices, the absorption of nutrients and potentially contributing to indigestion, food sensitivities and gut inflammation," says Dr Bhavsar. www.hindustantimes.com/lifestyle/health/why-fruits-should-not-be-eaten-with-meals-explains-an-ayurveda-expert-101637129999650.html
