I remember getting Red Faction early on as a PS2 game, it was absolutely amazing considering the lack of console shooters of similar style at the time. Obviously if you play it today, it's a bit of a corridor shooter with a lot of gimmicks that lasts a bit too long. I remember the next FPS game I played after this was Fallout 3 years later and I couldn't believe you could just walk anywhere you felt like, but today that's pretty normal
As a fan of the first game and Guerilla, I for one would LOVE to see a continuation or a reiteration of the series. Too bad Armageddon tanked the franchise; possibly for good, unfortunately.
I appreciate that, I have been editing for others for about 6-7 years now. I have a lot of free time right now and figured I would do something productive with it.
best part of multiplayer was stealing the enemy flag, using geomod to dig a tunnel, and hide inside with a railgun. they could never cap your flag, and they'd spend all game trying to get theirs back but get blasted through walls before they could see you. 10/10 griefers paradise
that skibidi energy in mother fuckin red faction lmao not something i expected to read. I also wish the geomod was better utilized. It was arguably worse in RF2 from what i remember. It was a lil bit more fun in multiplayer in split screen with my dad, setting up lil caves to mess with each other. But overall when I think back to RF1 I mostly think about being in dark caves and mines, maybe an office or 2. RF2 I can recall more distinct area's like the cemetery, the weapons depo, that cool mech you can shoot flame grenades' outta, the giant statue you scale up at the end. RF1 needed more unique things, and im not talking about the ending boss fights
The quality in this channel is amazing, keep the good work

> If you remember textures not being that good
I remember 'em being better. That's how nostalgia works.

Guerilla is a great game, I have so many good memories messing with the demolition.
@@brian_david If only they stuck with that formula for Armageddon, the franchise could've continued.

Working on a video for RF2 and spoilers, I agree with you completely. The mech and setting was about the only thing RF2 did better.
Um definitely if you're under 35. Though guerllia would be fun for anyone
Rugrats in Paris when?
