    Had the same muffler issue on my z1 48”. Dealer covered under warranty no problem. Welded the manifold and good to go.

    on your z3 deck going all the way down, see if your stripe kit is hitting the ground and preventing the deck from goin all the way down. I love how you picked one brand and stuck with it. there is just something about matching mowers. and you will love 37hp, it won’t seem overkill after you use it.

    • @thelawncarelegend1167
      @thelawncarelegend1167  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just checked my Z3x that was the problem thank you. I think after using it more that rubber flap (stripe kit) will bend more and it won’t jam up the deck. I definitely do like the 37hp it makes more since now with the machines weight of 1200 pounds. It gives the machine a really good power to weight ratio.

I’m a big fan of the Kawasaki engines , but on that mower I would have chose the 37 Briggs also! 💪 👍 hope to see some video of it in action! yea kinda poor design on the other machine by not having some support on that big exhaust! I lost my last parent at 14 so I must say that I am pretty jealous however you are taking some big steps in those shoes and I respect the hell out of that. Many kids in our generation will never be men. I personally work in lawn fertilization and pesticide application and am planning to mow acreage sized properties on the weekend. I just need a light duty truck and trailer to haul a bad boy

      @@thelawncarelegend1167 it's all good and honestly I don't have a license and I didn't make it through highschool. So I've actually got some catching up to do. You own a business at 17 when I gave my lawncare business up after maybe 3 months when I was 15. I was more interested in video games and when I got my first job at 16 I could have taken the initiative to graduate and put myself through college but instead I worked a dead end job over school and spent that money on my self image and to uphold a lifestyle that I thought would get me laid. I didn't have the right priorities in my teens but it sounds like you had your priorities just right and you applied yourself and that is why you are where you are. I was to worried about the cards I was dealt and not how I could make the best of my situation and apply myself.

      Hey man you can’t beat your self up on the past we all have made mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes I made last year was spending money on stuff I didn’t need. At the end of the season last year I made about 70k profit I wasted about 15k on stuff I didn’t need between fast food, video games, parts for my computer, and just random other stuff. I gave my self the excuse I work so hard I should have some nice things.Witch is true but to a point. However those nice things add up. Investing that money in other things would have let me get more nice things I wanted way down the line. We all make mistakes big or small but the big thing that matters is what you do with those mistakes. Like don’t make the same mistake twice witch I have a done a lot. If I hadn’t made a lot of the same mistakes twice I would be in a even better place than I am now. We all gotta learn some how man the toughest mistakes you learn from are the ones that make you rise above the rest. I also encourage you and anyone reading this to make some sacrifices. Instead of watching tv all the time get educated on things that will change your life,or help you, or make you money so you can be where you want to be and do what you wanna do. Some of those things will be things others think are crazy and won’t work.But the things people often think are crazy or are not practical are the things that change the world, and make the person who was doubted well know and wealthy and successful. Also start to work out more and eat healthy if you don’t already. They are things I started to do about a month ago and it has already changed my life along with educating myself more. I know 100% you won’t regret it. Again man your doing good for your age a lot better than other people.Don’t look back on the past just keep your head focused on what is ahead. Also don’t be intimidated by others you think are better than you or got more equipment ect. We all start from somewhere and at different times and we all have different goals. If you have any questions or need a second opinion on something feel free to Dm me on Instagram. I’m always happy to help!

    I wouldn't say legendary, but nice first vid 😂 And nice fleet for just 3 years in. What was that quote? "I believe in speed and power" ? Indeed, and I'd also add, I believe in deck size. The largest I can fit on a property, it's gonna get it. I like that oil guard system on your new mower.

    • @thelawncarelegend1167
      @thelawncarelegend1167  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea this video is definitely not legendary as you can hardly understand what I am saying half the time lol. I was trying to refer to my channel name.Which is a nickname my friends and customers started calling me
      (The Lawn-care Legend).
      Also the quote wasn’t quoted very well I must say. I was aiming more to talking about the ideology of Jeremy Clarkson. Which is about how he believes speed and power is a solution to everything lol.
      I also definitely agree with you about deck size. Go the biggest you can get away with.That way you are the most efficient you can be.
      The oil guard system is also something I like to. It’s a big time and money saver or it will be at least.
      I appreciate your comment and hope you enjoyed the video. I know I have a lot to work on making these videos better. I appreciate your feedback!

      @@thelawncarelegend1167 😂 I'm not into calling people legends, but it's all good, brother, and thank you for giving the backstory. You must be good at what you do for your customers to call you that. It would be an attention grabbing business name for sure 😂
      That oil guard could have saved me alot of money on a new engine last year 🤦‍♂️
      Actually I wasted familiar with the quote before seeing your video, but I have definitely been applying those two principles to different areas of my life for a good many years now.
      Keep rocking, keep improving, be safe, and looking forward to part 2 and/or 3 of your setup.

    Sweet set up! I’m 15, looking to start my LLC this year. I was amazed that you were taking care of 70 yards a week. Are you homeschooled? If you go to public school, like myself, do you employ people while your at school, or hire friends on the weekends to knock out properties? Just trying to do some research, as I’m in a similar position.

    • @thelawncarelegend1167
      @thelawncarelegend1167  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Green Splatter, So I have been homeschooled the past two years and will be graduating this month.That is what allowed me to do so many yards and expand. My next goal is 100 yards a week by the height of the season. Doing 20 yards a day over 5 days. At the moment I do not hire any employees. As my parents and I agreed I won’t hire anyone till I am 18 due to liability. If I where you I would try to convince your parents to allow you to do homeschool. I personally recommend James Maddison High school. Being homeschooled will allow you to expand your business and be less stressed out with school it was a life changer for me. If you can’t it is totally fine definitely respect your parents decision ether way man. But if I where you and was stuck in public school is do as many yards as you can do after school over 5 days. That way you have 2 back up days incase of weather or other work you want to take on. After you done that for a few months while doing research about hiring employees. I would look into expanding and hiring some employees. I would start out hiring a few part timers. That way you have redundancy and won’t have to depend completely on one person and go on from there. If you are able to switch to homeschool I would see about trying to graduate as soon as you can to get school done and out of the way. Then you can 100% focus on what you wanna do wether it’s expanding your business or going to college. If you have any questions let me know I’m always happy to help!

    any recommendations on a push mower and leaf blower both gas?

    • @thelawncarelegend1167
      @thelawncarelegend1167  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on your budget and how many yards you are going to use that push mower on. If you let me know that I can help you on the mower. Blower wise go echo all the way. A good starter handheld blower is the the Echo PB-2520 it is about $150 now.If you want a back pack blower a good starter is a PB 580t witch is $330. If you want a bigger back pack blower in the future jump straight to the Echo 9010t that is $630.

    • @O.KFarmToysdeutzallis6275

      for the mower just going around the house and the garden and blueberry bushes

    • @thelawncarelegend1167
      @thelawncarelegend1167  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would just get a standard 21inch push mower. Preferably a cub cadet they cut good and most of them have a electric start. They also make a wide area walk behind that is residential grade. It is about $1900 I would check it out. If your just wanting to use the push mower as a trimming mower though. Definitely just get a 21inch in the $400 to $500 range.
