  • Specialized Kenevo SL REVIEW | Over-biked for trails?
I know this bike works in a bike park, but I want to know how it works on my local trails. Can this be my only bike?
Big thanks to Sweden's largest eBike store, Elcykelkompaniet for providing with this test bike!

As you get older, you realize that the long travel suspension is also very good for comfort. Sometimes old guys like us need that.

Everyone I hear that is happy with the SLs are people who are fit enough to normal bike and don't want the feeling of an ebike but just want help shuttling up hills, it's a niche for sure. Everyone else I hear that tries the SL then says they are buying the full power next lol. I'll probably try the Kenevo first, I want a magic carpet but also a playful geo and being a smaller person I'm sticking with 27.5"

I’m 51 & live in the UK. Started MTB in 1989 with a Trek 830 Singletrack. Love my 2018 Santa Cruz Bronson… but my knees love the Kenevo SL & it really is the future. It will keep me riding harder for longer.

My local trails have a lot of babyhead rocks. The extra travel over a levo is welcome for me.

i love my Kenevo SL expert, if you want to keep any kind of fitness and not fight a bike it is the way forward :-) full blown ebikes just dont do it for me 🙂

I bought an Expert at Christmas in the sales, now done just over 1300 miles (2000 km). With the extender battery it’s good for 40miles & 8000ft of elevation and there’s nothing it can’t get down.
Only downside is that when riding with full fat e-bikes I’ve to put more effort in, but I’m fit enough and I’ve the time to keep fit.

Thanks, sounds like I want more power listening to this. To me Orbea have hit the sweet spot at 60nm.

Thanks for the review, I’m considering one, and I’m not sure about the weak motor, i have a feeling they will update the motor sooner than later to match the mid assist bikes of other brands

There is a rumor that a new Levo SL will be introduced in May with a stronger motor. Just a rumor though, I don't have any more info.

i also demoed the levo sl sworks and kenevo sl sworks. even these high end ones (lighter) are too weak. arguably the levo sl sworks is also a bit weak, but the bike is lighter and better at climbing so its acceptable. on the kenevo, its really hard if you have any steep hill. its totally fine on average hills. i tried to follow full power emtbs on steep stuff and im quite fit but i am pretty i put more effort than on my non-electric bike that day. - im 80kg / 5"11.
so at the end of the day if you want enduro and your climbs are mild, its pretty great. if climbs are steep, forget it, get a normal bike. im hoping they release a new version with perhaps 30% more power so that its acceptable on somewhat steep climbs, even if it it means less battery life

Bra recension! Modifierade du geometrin under din testperiod?

      Debatable - it's a 170/170 bike with a Fox 38 up front.
