I've shot, owned, and carried most of the modern striker guns that exist, and returned back to Glock because they're the easiest to work on, and I like the shooting characteristics the most. I shoot a lot, so having a gun that is easy to work on, modify, get spare parts for, and get aftermarket components/holsters for is very important to me. It shooting really well for me is icing on the cake. I've got a Glock 45. Started off as a standard model, to which I had milled for the ACRO footprint, and had the rear sight dovetail relocated in front of the optic. Ameriglo black on black sights as BUIS. I put a PMM barrel/comp on the gun, has been very reliable over the last 18 months of use. I use the Kagwerks taller slide releases, as with my high grip, I have a failure to lock open on empty due to slide override, and the Kagwerks release solves that. I use the Ghost 3.5 connector, a reduced power firing pin block spring, and an increased power striker spring. Drops trigger pull by about half a pound, but crisps up the whole ordeal. I'm also using an LTT SCD, as I really appreciate it as an additional safety that does not impede use. I've got a lot of shooting under my belt with the gun, including about 2 dozen shooting vids on my channel here. I get that a lot of folks don't like Glock. The plastic sights really shouldn't ship on the gun, even if people are going to swap them anyway. However, for me, nothing shoots as well as a slightly worked over Glock. I had an EDC X9 that I really liked, but I shot my Glocks better, so it went away. Hell, I even found that I prefer an arched MSH on a 1911 to make the gun more Glock-like for the presentation from the holster, and the different angle grip helps better for my preferred shooting characteristics. Thanks for the video my friend! I tagged you in a recent LCP video I made, but I have no idea if TH-cam actually sent you a notification on it. Always happy to see your uploads in my feed!
Thanks for poppin in man! Thanks for sharing your experience. Liking glock ergos and characteristics will largely be subjective. sounds like they work great for you! The main issue I have with glocks is how damn expensive they are. All my issues with them can be taken care of with parts. They are ubiquitous in the American pistol market so they are easy to get everything for which is awesome. Thanks for tagging me. Ill go check it out. i didnt get a notification for some reason! I'll have to look at my channel settings.
The ramjet looks cool but the Parker Mountain Machine barrel and comp does work better and keeping follow up shots closer to your first shot. Great double tap setup 👍🏻 especially when you get the trigger set the way you like it.
Either give us more for the same price, or give us the same gun for less. However idiots like me keep buying these fucking things so they wont do either haha.
i've been eyeballing a 45. my only issue with glock is how little grip there is. my cz's and sig's all have amazing stippling right from the factory. a 43x wouldn't be half as bad to shoot if they just released them with some nicer stippling. bring back the RTF grips
Agreed. Texture is poopoo. I'm pleased with the talon grips. Easy enough to stipple yourself. Plenty of shops will laser stipple for reasonable prices too. Lots of options but kinda bullshit on a $620 gun ($540 non MOS). I want M&P 2.0 texture on all my polymer pistols haha
What recommendations do you have to ease the shittyness of the Gen 3 Glock trigger stacking into a sort of Wall LoL. I know nothing about upgrading this platform outside of when one ventures to far from O.E.M. you create a fickle beast to function correctly. I have been knee deep in my caniks and Sig 320 but they were kind to me during the upgrading process. LoL
The two easiest things to play with are the striker spring and connector. The trigger pulls the striker back against the striker spring before releasing it, so that has a big effect on trigger pull and break weight. They factory one is 5.5# (Im pretty sure), and you can get them as low as 2#. Of course the lighter you go the more chance of light primer strikes. I ahve run down to like 3.5 or 4# without light strikes. The connector determines how the trigger bar falls to release the striker. This will control the firmness of the wall and how much creep the break has. "lower weight" connectors will reduce trigger pull weight but create more of a rolling break with a less defined wall (seems like this may be what you're interested in). replacing a connector really doesn't affect reliability. The striker gets pulled rearward the same amount regardless of the connector (wont affect how hard the striker hits the primer). Gen 3 pistols come with "standard" connectors. One "weight" down is the dot (newer gen come with this from the factory). Then lighter is the minus connector. The dot connector has a little dot stamped into it, the minus has a minus. Then there are tons of aftermarket ones of all weights and profiles. There is also a trigger bar spring in the rear locking block. This is actually working to pull the trigger to the rear against the striker. So a heavier spring here will lighten trigger pull. I would start with striker springs and connectors tho. The other thing is the striker safety plunger. It gets depressed by a tab on the trigger bar as the trigger bar is moved rearward. This unblocks the striker and allows it to go forward. You can get a block with a smoother profile so it feels less obvious when the trigger bar starts engaging it making the take up smoother. You can also get lighter block springs so it takes less force for the trigger to push it out of the way (lightening and smoothing take up). My recommendation is getting a spring kit and a few different connectors and trying different combos out to see what you like. When the trigger feels how you want, take it to the range and make sure its reliable. I have a question do you have anything bad to say about the Glock platform? And with minimal attention the same afternoon had it cycling 100%! But it's my first venture into the Glock "silhouette" ! LoL if you know you know
Platform is solid. Well proven. Just a bit outdated, but runs fine, is simple, and extemely customizable. I just think factory glocks are overpriced for what they are.
Anyone wearing that ridiculous mask has all invalid points. Glock has always been and will always be king. That’s why every company makes their version of a Glock. Glock loves the hate because the facts don’t lie! Glock Perfection !
Correction: I installed a minus connector. Don't know how I fucked that up.

Awesome vid! Was looking forward to more content.
I have a Glock 43x but after building my dagger I’ll just stick to clones lol.
Glock clones are generally way better value haha.
One positive that you failed to mention, the blocky design and lack of ergonomic curves in the frame allowed you to just clamp it in the mill😂
ease of fixturing! bonus! 😂
