I normally avoid extra long videos but for you I made an exception 😂 - One detail you didn’t touch on is motor heat and the curved magnets. The one thing that impressed me the most about the GTS is its thermal performance. Both the motor and the controller just do not get hot! The Hypercore was notorious for overheating but suddenly with the GTS it was a cool as the CannonCore- and the controller was even cooler than the best custom VESCs! No idea how they achieved it, but they did!
thanks dado! I didn't know curved magnets were so useful but now that you mentioned it, lemme ask the motor factory if they can do the curved magnet for canoncore 2.
I hope this catches Tony's eyes. It seems we're discussing two key points. Firstly, higher voltage leads to less heat generation, and secondly, the impact of curved magnets on heat reduction. From a basic physics standpoint, when comparing two motors of equal power but with differing voltages, the motor with the higher voltage tends to generate less heat. Perhaps Tony could conduct an experiment to explore the effects of heat generation between using curved magnets and increasing voltage. It may be more advantageous to go towards a higher voltage than to go with a curved magnet.
