- Lifan 88cc - are normal good from 55cc to 125cc. Only used on smaller bikes. Engine mount measurements (universal engine mount/CRF50): eye to eye between the top and bottom mount: 152mm; top mount is 93mm and bottom mount is 82mm; Bolt is 8mm; Length of this motor: from the very top to the back engine mount is about 425mm and the width is about 28cm.
YX 125 - 4 speed motor. Also known as a 125 GPX. It’s a neutral start. You would have to put it back to neutral, make sure the clutch is out and kick it over. They have the 5-pin green plug CDI’s.
Zongshen 155 - Also known as a 160. It has a wider KLX-based head which is about 18cm. CDI wiring for Zongshen has an 8-pin dice plug.
Daytona - the Japanese motor which is expensive. It is a really good brand. They have removable oil filters in them like the Zongshen.
Electric Start semi-automatic 110cc motor - 4 speed doesn’t need a clutch. Pressing a button starts it. You can get the side covers to look like the manual engines.
Zongshen 140 - A common motor and same engine mounts as the other ones. It has the same black box CDI. You could identify this easily by seeing the series of numbers (the top number is the actual engine number and the bottom number is the custom number that’s different for every single motor).

3k miles on my iron block 140cc Lifan 4 up motor. Runs great. and even with me being 230lbs it'll still run at 55mph all day long on my Dax ct70 clone.
so suck man 55mph 140cc you need some modifications

They are good engines but the frames are are no good the engine literally hangs on the engine mounts. There is no real solution for the crappy frames. The engines literally Yank on the engine mounts. I know this for a fact I have a snapped frame that I have to weld together I have an SSR 125cc

Pit bike frames are usually crappy I don't know about the Honda Grom frames they might be better they are street legal 125. These only have two mounting bolts the torque of the engine can snap the engine mounts there's nothing to compensate for the torque. look down at your engine while you shift gears you can see the torque pulling. I thought about getting a Honda Guam they look like fun they are smaller than average pit bike with the same type of engine which drives me crazy and street legal

The big hole in the head gasket is the oil hole and usually have o ring which is probably pinched a new oil ring should be the fix on this style engine

I just ordered a thumpstar 125cc because they were sold out of larger pit bikes. What engine can I buy that will bolt right up and make it faster? Obviously a 140 but can I go with a 190 or has anyone does this with a new thumpstar 2021?

I was going to buy a TSB110 for my son then noticed it dosent have a Zongshen like the TSK110 it has a Fengshong? Havent heard of the Fengshong motors are they any good compared to the Zongshens and Lifans?

I have an SSR 125 CC these engines are good but they hang. They're not a good set up by default. The engine mounted are not good may need to be reinforced. The engines hangs from the engine mounts that's very stressful for the frame

It'll fit and seal, but the inside pipe diameter is significantly smaller and will affect performance.

Ronald Whittaker actually they are almost the same as a honda they come from the same company the makes the parts for honda I have one on my gokart the automatic one for nearly 3 years and it still runs strong
Yes verry (for a copy) just change the oil sooner and nothing will hapen to it
All of these engines are reliable, me and my friends run them in our cheap beater atvs and you can hold the engine wide open throttle for a min and it wont break

Yes it will
They have universal mounts so yes but with very large engines like the daytona 190 you will have to check for clearance in smaller frames between the cilinder head and the front wheel
