you should just let them roll to a stop cuz the speed will make up for the fuel thirsty engine, weight and the aerodynamics will play a bigger role in the range

F1 has a technology called 'pre-chamber ignition' in which there is a small chamber which there is the spark plug and the fuel injector and when the spark plug is about to produce a spark, the fuel injector injects fuel first, then ignition comes after, which produces a high-speed gas which ignites the air as it exits the small chamber. You don't need fuel as there's already fuel that is in the high-speed jet that exits and therefore, saving fuel. In that technology, you don't need to mix air and fuel, only small amount to burn by the spark plug to then ignite and release it in high speeds through the main combustion chamber. Not only that, it also allows for better combustion as the high-speed flame is fast and can reach better and it also allows for F1 engines to reach 50% thermal efficiency, which is extremely efficient for a reciprocating angine.
The NASCAR stock car still sounds the coolest😎

The mod is so dumb. NASCAR has very similar fuel efficiency to most other naturally aspirated racecars. They only lose to turbos and hybrids, which makes sense.

So you’re telling me that in a straight line the NASCAR is only going to go a little over a 1/4 mile but when it’s balls to the wall racing on a track it goes for miles upon miles before refueling?
Nascars have a lot of good tech to accommodate the efficiency of those old school OHV V8s. Lots of torque and power throughout their rev range too, which makes fuel consumption a whole lot less. Though I wish they would race in faster speeds because those engines and the modern Aero are completely capable of doing so safely.
The US is also just an OIL drum acting as country, so fuel is cheap over there to a point racing orgs barely worry about it at all.

Cup drivers know how to save. Track throttle and speed during the last stage of Daytona or Talladega. Most guys use the draft to go 1/2-3/4 throttle

I mean... This all assumes the creators of the game even bothered to accurately model the fuel consumption of each vehicle, which I highly doubt. I'm sure they just used a "good enough" approach.
I've done long races with most of these cars and the fuel windows are pretty realistic tbh

Formula 1 has only 100kg fuel allowance which is not 145l.

explain what is a stock car and what are the specifications?
A stock car is anything but a stock car. It's a tubular chasis with a a custom bodywork. Currently they all have a V8 NA engine. They race in asphalt and dirt ovals although they do have road course races. There's many types of stock cars: Cup cars, Trucks, late models, street stocks. Brazil has their own Stock Cars

Rally Dakar has speed limitations to each category. Cars are limited to 170 km/h. Bikes 160 km/h, Trucks and quads 140 km/h, SXS 130 km/h
