This video is just heart breaking. The reason the Book of Mormon is so similar to the Bible, is because joseph smith plagiarized the Bible to make the Book of Mormon. He changed a lot of things in the Book of Mormon to fit his changing views of god. When you read about the anachronistic nature of the Book of Mormon you might realize it. You do believe that pretty much everyone will be saved, but not with their families forever, because that’s exclusive to the LDS church. The lds church teaches that you can become like god, not that you will take his place as god over this world, but that you will reside over your own world and have spirit children like him. How is this in any way compatible with the Bible. Ask a Jewish person whether the Old Testament says anything about becoming remotely close to who god is. God is a consuming fire. He is a spirit. And those who worship him must worship him in spirit and IN TRUTH.

A I don’t know why you would have me ask a Jewish person when they don’t even believe in the new testimant or that Jesus is the son of God. Obviously we would disagree on many things. Also if you really believe that Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon then you have never read the book. He was a farm boy with a fourth grade level education and the Book of Mormon was translated in a very short time.. The Book of Mormon is extremely detailed and complex and has at least four different writing styles according to experts. If you knew anything about Joseph Smith and his background you wouldn’t believe for one second that he was capable of writing such a book. He was a very simple farm boy.

The only "Plagerism" in the Book of Mormon is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And the fact that it matches up with the bible doesn't nessesarily mean that it's plagerism, since both books atribute it to a single man...
The quotes included from the Bible aren't hidden as such. They are refered to directly within the text as being from the Jewish Record.
What are the Fundemental Views in the Book of Mormon that you cannot find in the Bible?
What exactly is it in the Bible that leads you to believe that man can never progress to a God-like station?
Your conclusion there seems pretty grandiose, but I have no idea what it is you are trying to say, assuming that you are attempting to provide an alternate system of belief...

She’s asking because the LDS church teaches that a “Restoration” happened and you’re faith you’re living out is based on the story of the JS restoration. For their to be a restoration there had to at one point have been a well known truth and you’re church teaches the restoration cane from olden days of the Bible starting with the Jews so yes asking a Jew about their history makes perfect sense because they know their history of their people and what the Old Testament says.

What I have to say is lucky you for “accidentally” coming across the truth. I spent 41 years of my life in the Mormon church. You can ignore it like you’re taught to do, not look at anti-Mormon stuff, or take it as God loves you enough to show you truth. I’ve been disowned and treated and talked to extremely poorly by my family. All because I sought after truth and trusted God to lead me into the truth. I never did and never would have felt the true worship that I do at my Christian church. Was it easy? No way....it was lonely, painful, and extremely hard to leave the Mormon church. I actually until the last week didn’t know all the “anti-Mormon” stuff, which is actually just facts about their own religion. I knew with everything in me there was something not right. I questioned coffee and tea being bad for you as I drink them everyday now and I’m 44 and the healthiest of my life. I questioned that Marriage in the Mormon church can be done in the temple forever yet Jesus makes it clear in Matthew, Mark, and Luke there is no marriage in heaven. As the Bible also makes clear that temples became no longer necessary and clearly states God does not dwell in temples made with human hands. A lot of wasted time and money and huge distractions. I hope you don’t ignore the comments of people telling you to find the truth and get yourself and your family out. I have to live with the regrets of leading my older children in the wrong direction, and am now focusing on pointing them all to the true Jesus from the Bible and what a difference. The sooner you find out Joseph Smith was a fraud, the sooner you’ll realize all that came after him was the house built upon sand. If the Mormon church is “true” then it won’t hurt to look at all the facts. The very fact that they started saying a church is “true” really makes no sense. The Church is Jesus believers coming together in worship and praise and spreading the good news that Jesus came and died on a cross and did what we couldn’t do for ourself. The cross is a beautiful reminder of what was done for us, but yet I was made to believe wearing one was so wrong all my life. Don’t take anyone’s word for it. Matthew 7:7 says it clear. My advice is to question what you were born into and seek the truth. But if you seek it, be prepared for the truth to be revealed. Maybe you can explain why Joseph Smith translated 12 extra verses in Genesis 50 and predicted himself to come? It all has legally had to be revealed on LDS.org. Maybe because nothing in the Bible told us to watch for a prophet. It does however warn us about many false prophets. We aren’t waiting for anything but the signs of the last days and for Jesus to come back.

You're a beautiful soul. You've got one life to live. Read the CES Letter, it will be of tremendous assistance to you. I served a 2 year mission in Brazil, was married in the temple, served in a bishopric, and have since left mormonism (together with my life). Mormonism is demonstrably false, and has in many ways hijacked Christ's name. In recent decades the LDS church has sought to appear more mainstream, but if you examine the history of the church you will find many deeply troubling, unchristian things. Best wishes!

Brother Joseph thanks for your comments. I have studied the church history extensively as a direct descendant of Hyrum Smith it is my family history. As with any family or religion if you just scratch the surface (let alone dig deep like people do with Mormonism to find flaws) you will find flaws in ALL of them because humans are running them and they make mistakes and sin sometimes. That doesn’t mean the Gospel of Jesus Christ isn’t true, it just means we are human. I believe that every church that is trying to learn of Christ and follow him is good. I would never worry that when I die I will find out that my church wasn’t true and therefore I made a huge mistake. I am doing my best to follow Christ and utilize his atonement and I believe that anyone on this earth doing that will be all right in the end regardless of what church they belong to. Having said that, I do have a deep personal testimony that Joseph Smith did see God the Father and Jesus Christ and restored the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. So really that is all that matters to me.

Hi Kirsten, I appreciate you are true to the faith, as was I up until about 7 years ago when I started to look for answers, trust my gut feelings and act according to my conscience. I am also from a member family since birth and many generations back. When I tell my LDS friends I have withdrawn from the church, but believe and live the gospel of Jesus Christ, they cannot understand, and say it's not possible; we were taught you cannot have the church without the gospel and vice-versa. Not so. I love, respect and serve others the same as I always have done. I have countless 'little miracles' as I always called them, that consistently assure me I have made the right choice. I do not feel like a little lost sheep. I lived half my life with blinders on because we were all warned that seeking truth 'outside the box' would surely bring condemnation and invite the spirit of the adversary. What a dangerous concept that turned out to be. After watching documentaries on Jonestown, Waco, Scientology, and yes, the Mormons, it was unnerving to see the similarities. Don't believe in scary phrases like anti-mormon literature. You cannot put everything that is not church-approved into that category. There is a whole lot of truth outside the box. Trust yourself and find your own answers.

Kirsten, I was you 3 yrs. ago. I defended the LDS church on TH-cam and anywhere I could. andI bore my testimony that the church was true.
Until one Sunday I was teaching Primary the 3rd Article of Faith. When I came to the last part, " we may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel"...I began to weep. Jesus said we are saved ONLY by His shed blood and finished work He did on the cross.
Not by laws....He fulfilled the law. Not by ordinances...He rent the Veil and ALL can come to God and worship in spirit and truth.
I was a member for 35 yrs. Taught my children the mormon Jesus. Defended it with my life, sacrificed my time and talents. But all my works "were as filthy rags before God". We are saved by Grace alone... Not after all we can do.
I opened my Bible starting in John and read as a child reading it for the first time.
This is what Micah is talking about in his testimony.
I too was blind but now I see. I pray with all my heart that you will take the blinders off and find the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Only He can save. Not a church, not laws, not ordinances, not works, not service.....His Grace alone.
Kirsten, this blew me away when I understood this for the first time. It was the same with Micah.
This is what he's testifying of in his video. He's not "telling lies about the lds church"...he's telling how he found truth and I say with all the love and sincerity I can express that you will find it too.
I love the mormon people, they are hard working and well meaning but lost.
Jesus is the good Shepherd...listen to his word.

Thank you for your comment. Have you read the New Testament? Particularly in Romans where Paul describes Grace and Faith and Works? It is very plain and clear. We are only saved by Grace through our Faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement. Faith is works. Our works are our Faith. By their fruits he shall know them. Works don’t save you only Grace can that is true. Works are a manifestation of our Faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement. They all go hand in hand and you can’t have one without the other. Grace is a free gift to all, but some people will still not accept it. The New Testament is very clear about that

Kirsten Brockbank umm he was talking to the father. God is the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit all in one. It’s called the holy trinity. You can see it in Genesis “created the world in our image” image is singular, only one. John 1:1 says it too. Even Jesus said “if you’ve know you you’ve met the father.” Three in one. You’re a trinity too Spirit Soul and Body. What Mormons believe is 1 God 1 Son and one Holy Spirit are different and they’re all gods with is like saying 1+1+1=3. Christians Belice The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are all one which is 1x1x1=1. All three are one. Just like water can be Solid Liquid and Gas but still be water. You can see this all over the Bible. When Jesus said “forgive them father” he was talking to the father but Jesus is God with the father they make each other up. Just like your body talking to your Soul saying “Soul forgive them” you’re talking to your soul but at the same time the soul is yours

Kirsten, I felt the same way as you do when this video popped up on my feed and I listened to this young man's story. I had to ask myself - How can a person be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of their life - be called to represent Jesus Christ as a missionary - and not know of nor experience the loving grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ? I can only imagine that he is like many others who 'believe' in Jesus, but are not disciples yet. I found the saving grace of Jesus Christ in this church. I am grateful for the ordinances which continue to focus my life on the Savior. (baptism, sacrament, Temple) I am grateful that the church gives me built in opportunities to learn how to serve as I learn to attune my heart to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. I am grateful for the prophets of this church that unify our efforts on this earth in the cause of Jesus Christ. Anyhow - thank you for putting yourself out there.

Book of Mormon, “ we are saved by grace AFTER ALL WE CAN DO.” Sounds work based to me. It should say, “ we are saved not by what we do but by the complete work of Christ on our behalf on the cross.” He is the better Priest, Sacrifice, Prophet, and King.” The Lamb that was slain once for all. When He was hanging on the cross He exclaimed tetelestai whoch is Greek for it is finished. His work. Not the temple work you do in temples. Not by your works are you saved but by Jos merit and work alone. It’s a free gift. When Jesus hung on the cross the veil in the temple ripped from top to bottom symbolizing the ability to all of us to go to the throne room and talk to our Father. We can go directly in. Not through a Prophet. “ The law and the prophets were until John the Baptist, after him the gospel is being preached and everyone presseth into it.” Jesus is the good news and no temple, church, man , or the very power of hell will not prevail against His church.” The church is not your organization known as the lds. It is only found in true believers of Jesus Christ who know Him for what His Word says about Him, and it says He is God and is One with the Father and Holy Spirit. He is not our older brother and the brother of satan, but “the creator of all things visible and invisible.” Read the book of John, Hebrews, and Colossians. Praying for your eyes to be opened that you may see Jesus Christ for who He truly is. Your church also teaches one of the most damnable heresies. That we can become Gods ourselves. Read Isaiah 43-48

I shared a lot of the same thoughts, Kirsten. Thank you for sharing. The concept of being "saved by grace after all we can do" is very much misunderstood, even by practicing members of the Church of Jesus Christ. If you read the whole verse, Nephi is saying that once you are reconciled with God then you are saved by his grace. Our "works" are the reconciliation he's referring to. You can reference a few chapters before (2 Nephi 10: 24) where Jacob states so clearly that "after ye are reconciled unto God, that it is only in and through the grace of God that ye are saved". It's funny that LDS opposition never quotes that scripture. I don't know how much clearer Nephi and Jacob can be. Get "right" with God and you'll be saved.

Kiersten, I’m a Smith too, 47, raised in the church, served a mission, and was never told the full truth about the history. Read the CES letter, gospel topic essays, and left the church in my own decision with my wife and 2 daughters who both served missions as well. I’m sorry as I use to be naive like yourself and didn’t understand the truth. The things you said at the end of your video about the Mormon church simply isn’t true. The most important one is that Mormons believe in grace you are saved after all you can do (works) 2 Nephi 25:23. and you must do essential works to be saved...baptism, temple endowment among many other things. I now realize just as the thief next to Jesus on the cross was saved is just believe in the real Jesus (who is God not our older brother) and you can be saved. The thief was not able to do works on the cross but truly believe and Jesus said he was saved. Ask any member in yur ward if they must do things (works) to be saved by God and they will all say yes and may even quote 2 Nephi. For example, if baptism isn’t a requirement then why are baptisms for the dead done in the temples alone with family history? I use to be where you were about 6 months ago until I allowed myself to think critically about the truth of the church I was never taught (ie rock in the hat, treasure digging and occult, polyandry, book of Abraham problems, etc etc)
Take a breath, read the CES letter without a confirmation bias, and you will either built additional shelves and add many brackets to hold up that shelf with more concerns than ever about the church, or start on a new path and find out who Jesus really is in the Christian world and find true peace in my opinion. BTW, I found out why ppl always said I wasn’t a Christian while I was a Mormon and never understood why....until now. Mormons aren’t Christians I’m sorry to say.
At least you are being exposed to this now!

Joseph Smith’s practice of polygamy and polyandry. The destruction of the Nauvoo Expositor. The historical inaccuracy of the BoM. The blatant mistranslation that is the Book of Abraham. These are all problematic for the church. I am a Christian and it's obvious that you want to be a Christian. Prayer has brought me into a discussion with a Mormon friend of mine and I once asked him if he thought he and I serve the same Jesus. His answer was yes.. But the answer is absolutely no... Here are just a few examples of where the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible do NOT sync up...
My Jesus, the Jesus of Christianity IS God, your Jesus isn't.. My Jesus is the creator of all things including Lucifer.. Your Jesus is Satan's brother and equal.. imagine that his equal! My Jesus saved me by the blood he shed on the cross. Your Jesus atoned for you by the blood shed in the garden when he was praying.. As you can see, these are just a few things that differ from the Jesus of Christianity and the Jesus of Mormanism. I'd like to ask you the same questions I've asked him. He's not answered me, it is my hope that you can help. Which is correct, The Book or Mormon or the D&C and Pearl of Great Price?
Mormon Doctrine says God was a Man - The Book of Mormon says he was not a man
Mormon Doctrine says You become a god - The Book of Mormon says you will not become a god
Mormon Doctrine teaches Baptism for the Dead - The Book of Mormon does not
Mormon Doctrine says Temple Ordinances - The Book of Mormon does not
Mormon Doctrine (regardless of what you may think) does teach Polygamy and Polyandry - The Book of Mormon does not
Mormon Doctrine says God has a body - The Book of Mormon says no
Mormon Doctrine says many gods - The Book of Mormon says no
Mormon Doctrine says Spirit world second chance - The Book of Mormon says no
Mormon Doctrine says God progressing and changeable - The Book of Mormon says no
Mormon Doctrine says Premortal life with God - The Book of Mormon does not teach that
Mormon Doctrine says Mother in Heaven - The Book of Mormon does not teach that
"President" as the Church Leader - The Book of Mormon... No.
Also, I asked my Mormon friend if he believes in the Virgin Birth of Jesus. He said yes... But was appalled when I suggested that the Mormon Church taught that a Physical God came down and sired Jesus Christ with Mary...
"Prophet" Ezra Taft Benson - 1985 to 1994 Ezra Taft Benson said this about the virgin birth:
“I am bold to say to you… The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints proclaims that Jesus Christ is the Son of God in the most literal sense. The body in which He performed His mission in the flesh was sired by that same Holy Being we worship as God, our Eternal Father. Jesus was not the son of Joseph, nor was He begotten by the Holy Ghost” (The Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p. 7; cf. Come unto Christ, p. 4; cf. “Five Marks of the Divinity of Jesus Christ”, Ensign, Dec. 2001, 8).
Brigham Young - Journal of Discourses 1:238
"Son was begotten by the Father, as the Apostles said he was? Here I shall have to disagree with you, to begin with; for I believe the Father came down from heaven, as the Apostles said he did, and begat the Saviour of the world; for he is the ONLY-begotten of the Father, which could not be if the Father did not actually beget him in person"
When I presented him with those two quotes (and several more, too much for here) he simply didn't reply.
There is so much more. I'm sure you've never been taught that in Joseph's first account of his first vision, only Jesus appeared.. That is easily researchable and found in Joseph's actual handwriting here (www.josephsmithpapers.org/paper-summary/history-circa-summer-1832/3). It wasn't until it had been revised several times (a total of 9 times) to you have the version that you may recognize today, where both God the Father and Jesus appeared as two personages, at the same time.
I want to continue but I know that "less is more" and there is already a whole lot! :-) I DO NOT leave this comment to be mean or anger you. I truly am baffled by the fact that the average Mormon does not know or doesn't care about these issues... I'd be very happy to engage on these topics and the many contradictions in LDS "scripture".
I'd love for you to know the Jesus of Christianity. It is my hope and prayer, in the name of God the Father and God the Son that you research these issues and ask questions. Prayers... Kevin

First of all, you are brave to share your testimony. I was a true believing Mormon my whole life but left the faith a couple of years ago. I used to think like you do. But ask yourself, if Mormons really believed other Christian religions are good enough to make it to heaven, why do they rebaptize them after they die? Also, Pres Nelson made it very clear in a recent interview in Chilli that being a good person and believing in Christ isn’t enough, you also need to go through the temple to get to the highest glory in heaven. In the last conference, he said only Mormons married in the temple go to the highest kingdom. So maybe Mormons believe other faiths can get to heaven but only Mormons to the highest degree of heaven? That, among other things, is why I left.

I liked your video because I felt to a great responsibility to my fathers before me. Many generations in the church. I went for 5 years after being ex communicated. I used to say the church is perfect it’s the people. But thru much much much study even prayer. Add a great deal of suffering I came to realize that the church was not what it claimed to be. I could feel my parents rolling over in their graves. But I then realized it was worse. Worse to live this life in a lie. To live something that just was so far removed from what truth is. It took me about 15 years being out of the church and 10 not going to really be able to check out and watch what is considered anti Mormon. If you read many of these comments there are compassionate people wanting the best for you. Your life won’t fall apart even tho you feel it may. It’s hard at first but every day gets easier. And if you don’t leave. Be happy as it’s not goin the way the church taught. But that’s ok. Every moment is beautiful.

Kristen- You’re truly brave to post this. I admire the calmness and clarity with which you speak. Full disclosure, I’m not a Member. I do have some questions for you if you don’t mind. No worries if not. Have you noticed The Church is starting to replace “translation” with “revelation” regarding the BOM? How does Joseph, all prophets since, and The Church for ~180 years, say he originally translated it and are now changing it? Why haven’t they publicly announced the Gospel Topic Essays to Members?

Jupiter Crash the revelation was the vision of God the Father and the Son telling Joseph that none of the churches on the earth at that time had the fullness of the gospel and the keys of the priesthood. The translation was translating the Gold Plates into a language we could read. They are two different things. One is not replacing the other. Ask me any questions you have and I will answer to the best of my knowledge

Kirsten Brockbank MY QUESTION NEXT. Why in Revelations 22:18-19 does it say that you cannot add to the Bible? It used to say in the BOM that it was “another testament of Jesus Chris”. That sounds like an addition. So I guess my question is, “Not only did Jesus Christ say that the work was done when he died, but why did the last book of the Bible ban any addition to the Bible what so ever and yet you still choose to believe the BOM is true?” I left the church when I was 18. After seeing my child molester uncle be given a position in the church after releasing what he did, I couldn’t be in the church anymore. I’ll love to exchange emails so maybe we could converse about this more.

Kirsten, if you read the Gospel Topics on salvation in the Church website www. lds.org. you will find that the Mormon doctrine empathizes salvation by grace and works. In a disscusions with different Mormon missionaries I was referenced with 2 Nephi 25:23. For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do. I was told that the last part "after all we can do" means doing works. My understanding from logic is that grace is the free and unmerited favor of God, works is exertion or effort so then according to the missionaries you have to earn salvation by also doing works. I belive from what I have seen that Mormonism is a works based religion. Works for Mormons means exaltation and reaching the highest level of heaven. I know I have read it in many different Mormon literature. I just want to clarified that I am not here to argue but to together learn from each other. It could be that may be the doctine is not being thought the same across the different Mormon Churches or even in seminary classes. Anyways, I hope we can come to respect each others different opinions and points of view. Have a great day!

Kirsten, I want to thank you for your testimony and your insight into the video you said you watched about the ex-Mormon missionary. As you can see the only other comments are from naysayers spewing the same old lazy rhetoric that is and always will be easy to dismantle.
As is the case with nearly all ex-Mormons and/or “Christian” apologists I have encountered, their interpretive lens of our belief system is shrouded with micro-deviations from the truth that is sensationalized and over/under contextualized.
I always get a kick out of the flailing verbal grenades that are lobbed our direction with the lazy rhetoric such as “Mormon’s believe in a different Jesus, they believe Satan and Jesus are brothers, they are not saved, they don’t believe in grace, they are not born again, they are going to hell, can I get a Big Mac with fries,” so on and so forth😴🤔
When Evangelical “Christian” apologists and/or ex-Mormons make the vacuum claim that we “believe” Jesus and Satan are brothers it is in an attempt to psychologically create a cryptic persuasion to their audience that the disciples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints esteem Satan as an “equal” to the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is a cryptic way of trying to declare “that those whack-a-mole Mormons” believe Satan is essentially a “fourth” member of the Godhead.
In short, our belief that Lucifer and Jesus are “brothers” is only from an ontological sense (and again the discussion at this point MUST immediately go to the ontological nature of the Godhead. I adamantly disagree with the Evangelically dogmatized variation of the trinity. It has its roots in pagan Egyptian mythology and is in fact a heresy above all else. We DO believe in the triune nature of the Godhead....just not in essentially a three-headed God as Evangelicals believe. I could go on and give a 10 day discourse on the absolutely heretical doctrine of the Evangelical variation of the trinity....We doctrinally believe God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit ARE ONE, but ontologically they are separate beings. With the mindset of tota scriptura, I think this is resoundingly declared in the Bible. I would invite you all to read 1 Corinthians 8:6 CLOSELY!!! Get a hold of a Greek translation if you can and spend a few days on this verse. Pay CLOSE attention to this!!!! It’s amazing. ALL THINGS are OF God the Father, and we are IN Him. All things are THROUGH the Lord Jesus Christ. Then it goes on to say we are BY Jesus, not IN Jesus as it declares when it is talking about God the Father. If you study the Greek close you will see that the word BY used means “by” as in “next to” rather than “created by” as the majority of Evangelicalism tries to dogmatize. It is great to put this verse next to Romans 8:16-17.) Man I love the gospel of Jesus Christ!!!😁
Ok back to Satan. In closing, we emphatically believe that Lucifer is no longer Lucifer. He was amongst the great one’s and was there amongst the Son’s of God (which is a reference to a divine council/pre-mortal existence and has connection to Psalm 82 which is something I could give another 10 day discourse on just using the Bible alone...) but he fell from Heaven like lightening. He lost his estate and standing with God. He is no longer Lucifer but Satan. We believe that he lost any and all standing with God. We do not consider him to be the “spirit brother of Jesus” but rather to be an enemy to God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. He is the evil serpent who is the father of all lies. There is no Holiness found in him. In short, we believe that Satan is Satan. Any theological spin pertaining to our faith one wants to make between Jesus and Satan is of one’s own interpretation not ours. Indeed, this is a deceitful tactic deployed by those who lack intellectual as well theological acumen.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the preeminent one declared all throughout the Bible and Book of Mormon. We believe that it is only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved. Through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, not only do we believe that we can enter into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, but we can enter into a sanctifying and exalting covenantal relationship which is resoundingly biblical.
To all of the naysayers please remember there may be more to consider than what you think you already know😉
    John 21:25
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

He spent his time with those who needed his help and who were also humble enough to listen and know that he was different and special. Only the few were humble enough to see his truth. So it is today. Only the few will discern the truth through the haze in this life. How wonderful it is that there is eternity for learning and growth.

The book of Mormon does contradict the Bible. It adds to the gospel, and takes away the FREE gift of salvation. It is already perfect there is nothing to restore. Have you researched your own religion? Where are the millions of lives lost in wars the book of Mormon? Why do you take away gods Holiness by saying that there are gods before him? What about how 2 nephi 25:23 how it says "we are saved by grace after all we can do"? When in the Bible "for it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God" ehpesians 2:8. You say that the book of Mormon and the Bible fit together like a puzzle. How do these two verses fit like a puzzle. Dear, you are one of a kind. A special far-seeing; God-knowing rare member of the LDS Church. “We believe we are saved by grace after all we can do! That is probably THE most stated and well-known line among Mormons. All the LDS do is “DO!” They’re entire life is the Church. That isn’t organized that way on accident. If they are constantly doing things for the Church, like their callings, weekly meetings, Family Home Evenings, 3 hours of church every Sunday, Visiting Teaching/Home Teaching, etc. then they have no time of their own to seek truth. They are too worried and too busy doing all they can to ensure that they will be worthy enough through obeying everything that is expected as well as constantly wondering if they are doing all they can to reach the Celestial Kingdom. You get works is above grace in the LDS church and 99% of them will agree with me if you ask. You are the exception my dear. A very good exception.
In regards to the BoM completely aligning with the Bible, are you certain you read the same Bible as the rest of us? You paid attention as you read, not just with Mormon eyes, but eyes of a child? So Mormons believe in that God is Spirit? They believe that Jesus IS God? Like the ONE and ONLY God of all existence in any and all universe of universes? Where in the Bible does it say that man can become God? The Bible clearly states that there is NO marriage in heaven and sadly families are not together forever. It is an earthly union and only an earthly one. (That one was a rough one for me to get over! Yes, I am technically too a member.) I do know for certain that Jesus is not a hypocrite. He would not Himself drink wine during His mortal life and then expect those who follow Him in later centuries to abstain from any and all drinking.
I never knew that my entire life that the religion is was born and raised in believed in polytheism. I thought we only believed that there was ONE Heavenly Father and sure as heck will my father and brothers NEVER become god. I now see where all of the self-righteousness stems from in my family and in the Church as a whole. I hit a really dark time in my life about 5 years ago and I felt like quite literally the entire world had turned their back on me. When the world has turned against you there is One who is always there and will NEVER forsake you, God. I found a friend in Jesus, not Christ, but Jesus. Yes, they are one in the same, but to me Christ represents everything Mormon. I would only refer to Him as Christ as a Mormon, but after seeking truth, seeking God, I found Jesus of Nazareth - a friend of sinners; a friend to all. He became my best friend and now I can only refer to Him as Jesus. I love Him more than my three children combined. I never thought I would say that in a million years! Jesus is an afterthought in Mormonism. They say otherwise and even refer others immediately to the name of the church. Yeah, well that’s about the only mention He gets, and at the end of a monotonous prayer. He isn’t even mentioned, not even once (besides prayer) on Christmas Sunday or on Easter Sunday at church! Joseph Smith is! And trust me I have since paid attention and not one year was out Lord and Savior mentioned, even as we celebrate His birth and His and His resurrection. He of course is mentioned at General Confernce, but don’t you think that is done purposely as the entire world has the ability to tune in? They have to appeal to the masses of people who believe in Jesus, but are seeking truth themselves, or looking for a sense of belonging, which the LDS Church fully embraces. I mean when we are baptized or join the church, we do exactly that, JOIN THE CHURCH. Most active members that is exactly what they love most about the church, the comrodery - the feeling that they belong to something. I ask that you read the New Testament once again, but with new eyes; with the eyes of a little child. If you truly seek truth and are willing to accept the consequences of that really means, God will reveal Himself, reveal truth to you.
I wish all Mormons were like you and saw things as you see them. You are far beyond your fellows in that you have eyes to see and ears to hear. God bless you, my friend, my sister. God bless you.🙏🏻❤️

And it just keeps getting better spiritually every single day more miraculously than ever before and from any other church and I'm not Downing any other church I'm just saying, for me purposely only need, I have never been more blessed, I have never felt Spirit more alive and the recklessly alive in me, I have never had the love in the care of so many people who don't just stop and leave you sitting, when sick as I am terminally ill bedridden, they continue to keep you informed, involved they help you through anything and everything and it's not because they want to keep your membership, it's because they love you and it's because of today with President Nelson modernizing things of today! Again I say today in the present! Because we need to live in the present! Enough of this world filled with so much her riffic things from school shootings to church shootings to Mall shootings to Fires, all natural disasters everything politics you name it is horrid thick! There's so much to say about that and it seems so ironic that people come together when natural disasters happen and they show their love and that's awesome! So that love needs to stay together no matter what, agree to disagree keep moving on live for today because we're not promised tomorrow, and tomorrow probably will be worse than today, I'm terminally ill and I just want to do for others and love everybody, and believe truly I believe in heavenly father as well for me, I was also baptized March 24th 2018 in Wisconsin at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and my calling and primary, and the neat thing about all of this is that when I used to drive to my non denomination Church in Wisconsin, I took a right hand turn to go to my church and wouldn't you know it, the church that I am truly believing in Forever is right across the street from that non denomination Church! Can't make that up! I now take a left hand turn to get to my church! And I will tell you that that is the most right, left hand turn that I've ever made in my life! Best decision of my life! Don't knock it till you try it and live it in today, live it in helping others in today for tomorrow and I hope that makes sense God bless all

All Mormons have the exact same testimony, they read the book of Mormon prayed about it to know if it is NOT true, and got their confirmation by a demon that it is NOT true. What a beautiful testimony! Do they really miss the part that the book of Mormon says Not true in Moroni 10? They accept all the lies ofJoseph Smith because of a supernatural feeling given to them by Satan. Tragic.

It's great that you have a faith that brings you closer to God and makes you a better person,. There is a huge disconnect between Mormons and evangelicals in terminology . Many feel it's their duty to point how wrong someone is because they don't embrace the evangelical view. I was a TBM all my life up to the age of 50. I lost my faith in the church because of it's history. But just because I may not believe it any
More does not mean I have an Ax to grind against the church. If a person's belief system helps them to love others then your going the right direction. If your believe system makes you a critical judgmental holier then thou asshole then I suggest you make a course correction.

All through my youth in the 70s and 80s, McConkie, in his book, he would classify the Catholic Church as the church of the devil.

  • @BrianMillsMFA
    @BrianMillsMFA 5 ปีที่แล้ว

6:40 "No one would ever say that only Mormons would be saved." Not true. Buckle up.
It starts with the First Vision, where Joseph Smith claims God told him “I was answered that I must join none of them (other churches), for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: ‘they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.’ He again forbade me to join with any of them.” (JS-H 1:19-20.)"
Remember, Joseph was talking about the Methodists, Presbyterians, Catholics, etc when he prayed.
Joseph Fielding Smith said: "[There is] no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith. If Joseph Smith was verily a prophet, and if he told the truth...no man can reject that testimony without incurring the most dreadful consequences, for he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p.190).
Bruce McConkie stated: "If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation. There is no salvation outside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" (Mormon Doctrine, p.670).
President George Q. Cannon said: "After the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized, there were only two churches upon the earth. They were known respectively as the Church of the Lamb of God and Babylon. The various organizations which are called churches throughout Christendom, though differing in their creeds and organizations, have one common origin. They all belong to Babylon" (Gospel Truth, p.324).
Apostle Orson Pratt proclaimed: "Both Catholics and Protestants are nothing less than the 'whore of Babylon' whom the Lord denounces by the mouth of John the Revelator as having corrupted all the earth by their fornications and wickedness. Any person who shall be so corrupt as to receive a holy ordinance of the Gospel from the ministers of any of these apostate churches will be sent down to hell with them, unless they repent" (The Seer, p. 255).
Apostle Boyd K. Paker said in General Conference: "It is our firm conviction that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is, as the revelations state, “the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth.” (D&C 1:30.) This doctrine often generates resistance and repels the casual investigator...Do you realize that the notion that all churches are equal presupposes that the true church of Jesus Christ actually does not exist anywhere?"
    www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/1985/10/the-only-true-church?lang=eng
CURRENT First Presidence Member Dallin Oaks said this gem:
"The fashionable opinion of this age is that all churches are true. In truth, the idea that all churches are the same is the doctrine of the anti-Christ, illustrated by the Book of Mormon account of Korihor. "

God love you! I was in the same mindset for 40 years.. Finally this past year-and-a-half I SAW how the Book of Mormon was plagiarized by Joseph Smith and Gang , which I always detested that before, automatically of course..(per LDS commandment pretty much..lol..) and I saw how ALL of the grammatical ERRORS from the New Testament versus that were magically in the Book of Mormon as well... (Where theyre "supposed" to be "Revelations" from God to Joseph.. So I guess he translated the SAME exact errors that were in the New Testament..?) Maybe a coincidence? Or maybe.. Knowing that none of his prophecies pretty much came about.. and perhaps because of all those things and much much more.. ( That you can find out on your own or from whomever.. ) make him a FALSE prophet... most definitely!! I didn't want to believe it either.. You was a gold digger.. A scam artist. Go look up his criminal record by the way.. hey sister.. If you want to live that life.. That's wonderful.. if it works for you.. Being lied to.. The foundation is falling.. But People who are talking about this stuff are getting it from the actual church doctrine called The Church gospel essays.. Did you read them? They're Buried buried way deep in the Gospel Library Online.. You have to type in "gospel essays" in the lds gospel library IN the search bar online, to find it.. I wonder if the church even told you guys about it.. They had a general Authority actually ITS ONLINE look it up ..its so important..He says that they are going to slowly bring about those to the young people.. To "inoculate" them.. I think you saw these videos FOR A REASON, love! . It doesn't mean that the people aren't great at that church. Like I said I was there for 40 years. I love every single one of them.. But I do NOT adore or even respect anymore the presidency.. Or the 12 or the FAKE 70... Which is exactly what that is because it IS a 501 c 3 Corporation, love! It hurt me too..they're stealing everybody's money they're not even helping the world with ANY of the tithes except for building more temples and more churches and more properties for the Mormon Church.. They have the biggest cattle business in the United States.. And Joseph Smith said NOT to eat meat by the way except for if emergency or sparingly or whatever.. And they just Slaughter cattle and pretend they give it to their less Advantage members.. But you have to jump through hoops to even get any help. Even if you paid your tithing for 40 years.. You don't understand.. People were excommunicated and shunned by their families for the silliest things.. Like I said for asking questions that are actually church doctrine now.. I'll say it once again.. It's called The Gospel essays.. They're buried deep and online in the church gospel library.. Look it up!! You're going to see some stuff girl.. And I don't want you to be hurt.. But read those essays thoroughly.. And I'm praying for you.. But please don't say somebody's lying when you don't know.. God bless you I'm saying prayers for you tonight.. With all of my faith.. That you'll find the truth!

I don’t know what your beliefs are nor do I know your standards for truth vs. error so I’m not going to make any presumptions about wether your beliefs are false or not. Just know that throwing out a blanket statement that someone else’s belief system is false is fair game...but in the manner you (and most antagonists to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints) do it is cryptic, lazy, and usually done using circular reasoning which is a logical fallacy)

There is no evidence of the book of mormon, but there is plenty of evidence of what the bible says. Also, in this video you are taking out what the actual video you are referencing actually said. It said that we are saved by grace by Jesus Christ, not by works which Mormons and that salvation is a free gift. You may believe everyone goes to heaven, but you guys believe there are several stages of heaven depending how good you were which is not biblical.
I challenge you to bring this up to your bishop or to other Mormons and question some things. I promise you that you will find they are argumentative. Do your research.

He's not referring to the commandments. I know the video you are referring too. He is speaking of all the added doctrine from Mormonism on how to obtain personal exaltation, in addition to the commandments. There are several contradictions in the Book of Mormon compared to the Bible. Only members of the church will be able to receive exaltation and everyone else will not be able to have that unless they are endowed members of the church. The church teaches that Salvation is for all men and women and exaltation is only for the worthy. However, the only time that Christ uses the word doctrine in the New Testament is when he's referring to life after death and marriage. He said "Ye do err, do you not know my doctrine? For there is no marriage in heaven, neither will ye marry, for we will all be as one." There is no personal progression in heaven, no exaltation other than God above. We all get to be as one. Without partiality. So there are a lot of LDS doctrine that you aren't fully aware of or fully educated on. The gospel of Christ is simple. Love the Lord thy God, Love your neighbor and keep the commandments. Everything else that is added from religion to religion is man's attempt to use God's word to benefit themselves. Just go to Mormonstories.org and see all the stories of people who were excommunicated for saying they believed in the Saviour, but not the church. It's so sad.
