OR the three different levels of heaven : Celestial kingdom, Terrestrial kingdom, and the Telestial kingdom. Only the holiest of holy get to go to the Celestial Kingdom where they sit at the feet of God Himself, The Terrestrial is for the rest of the Mormons ( Only Mormons) and the Telestial is for those "who received not the gospel of Christ, nor the testimony of Jesus." It will also include "liars, and sorcerers, and adulterers, and whoremongers, and whosoever loves and makes a lie", as well as "murderers, and idolaters". Apparently having a 3 foot solid Golden Angel on top of a pure while marble Temple that only elders and the most righteous are allowed to enter is not Idolatry. The curtain ripped when Jesus said "it is done" , but the Mormons sewed it back together. That is the Church I sadly grew up in and thankfully left.

In the temple the apostles wash each others feet like Jesus washed his ancient disciples feet, the wife washing her husband's feet means that she's one of Jesus's disciples. It has nothing to do with demeaning women. It has to do with honoring them. Also we believe in keeping the commandments of God. We can't hear what her father actually said. I'm sure he did not mean that after the ordinance they can go out and commit adultery or get drunk, whatever. I know an elderly couple that got to go to the temple and receive that ordinance. It was absolutely sacred and wonderful. It has nothing to do with getting a free pass on committing serious sin. Those that receive the ordinance are very righteous men and women.
Weare only righteous IN CHRIST. HIS WORK ALONE. RIDICULOUS LDS TRY TO SAY WHO IS AND IS NOT... REPENTANCE IS TURNING TO HIM,HIS WORK FINISHED and the heart changes, born again. @MichelleCreate324
Mercy cannot rob justice and justice cannot rob mercy. No one can sin and be saved in the Kingdom. Satans plan was to save us in our sins. Heavenly Father states that “He cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance “.
This explains soooooo much. So much of the arrogance of many of the men and why they get creepier and creepier for the most part. I could feel it as a kid.
That's just your prejudice against old people and your way of justifying it. This random woman on the internet is making it up. Receiving a second anointing doesn't give someone a free pass to sin. It means the men and women who receive it are held to such a high standard they need to be highly cognizant of sin and avoid it. How do I know? From time to time, leaders in the Church have been excommunicated for behavior that probably would not have caused a general layperson in the Church to be excommunicated.
The church has brought me so much joy. Literally the greatest blessing of my life. Everyone is held accountable for everything they do. This is a misrepresentation.
The entire point of the second anointing is that the ones that receive this already have their "calling and election made sure", meaning that they have already punched their ticket to heaven. Which means they don't have to account for any sins from that point on. If you believe "this is a misrepresentation", you are clearly ignorant regarding the second anointing.
Well that’s one way to put it. I wouldn’t say a free pass. Clearly people still sin. But it’s like when the scriptures say don’t ask for things you know you shouldn’t. If someone gets the second announting you probably have shown you wont go out and commit a serious sin like rape or murder. Makes me think of wiki on war crimes. France committed as many rapes as the Russians did during ww2. It does seem odd it seems like it’s a free pass, but the few that get it probably have become such a person that they’d behave better.
@@koltoncrane3099 Yeah, I doubt that many of these people are going out and committing serious crimes. However, there is a rumor that Tim Ballard received his second anointing. They don't tell you any of this when they're recruiting you. There are a lot of things they conveniently omit from the missionary lessons. I guess they figure if you find out the crazy stuff a little at a time, you won't run screaming away.
Actually the reason for this is a verse in D&C which is used to promote information control. The gist of it is "They're not ready to know". In terms of cults, this just means that you shouldn't spill any secrets until your sure they've been brainwashed enough.

I am very happy that you have found a place of worship that serves your needs! To answer your question regarding the hate campaign, it's because so many people have come to harm because of the belief systems and bad actors within the church. No one hates the believers of these systems, they hate the harm that they can cause. I hope this explains it well. Years ago a military sgt invited a group of us young guys on post to his house for big spaghetti supper with all the trimmings. We went, ate up, enjoyed, even offered to help clean up. Were told all was good & to relax in living room. A few minutes later two "missionaries" came to door, came in, gave spiel about "one true church". This reminded me of Am..y or timeshare sales hook. Most of us were either protestant, a few Catholic. We avoided this sgt as much as possible, it was never brought up again. We did not like trickery of a cult.
Yeah it's a cult but so is the Catholic Church. Yeshua is the narrow gate to the father. We come one at a time to the Cross admitting we are hopeless sinners and are sealed with the holy Spirit till the day of redemption. False gospels and churches are idolatry.
It’s called trauma- and sometimes a way to relieve that trauma and heal from it is by talking about it. Keeping it down and trying to forget it is way harder. But the sad reality is, the Mormon church will always be apart of them; it’s just turned into this traumatic and sickening mental parasite that will come back to naw at them. That’s why stuff like this podcast exists, to help heal from that parasite. It also helps people like myself; hearing other Mormon stories has helped me realize that I was not alone in the church’s abuse
It’s called trauma, my friend. We Exmos realize that the church is actually a mental and abusive parasite that’s feeding off of us. That’s why this podcast exists, to discuss the trauma and realize that we were not alone in feeling something wrong with the church
Oh buddy, If you think trauma only comes from violence, you should do more research. Words are just as powerful as violence, and they can traumatize people just as badly. Also I’m not playing victim: If you’ve been paying any attention to this project (and clearly you haven’t), you’d understand that these people were hurt because they were told that they were unworthy, that they were beneath the leaders, that they had to meet unrealistic expectations, and that they were sinners if they questioned the leaders. So, think twice before you go around and say that these people are “playing victim” because you don’t understand
@ yes, trauma only comes from trauma. Your petty feelings are the result of your failed faith. Stop pretending the church caused you anything just because your fragile feelings got hurt over trivial matters.
A free pass if you commit what is considered a sin. And where does that appear in the bible? Mormon bible? A mortal man named Smith makes up a religion and the teachings for that religion. Sounds Mighty Dangerous.
I don't accept any religion because I simply don't share their beliefs. But I object to both Mormonism and Scientology because they're patent modern frauds.
There are things in the Bible which could lead a foolish person to believe that this is a true Christian practice. That is why it's important to know the full counsel of the Gospel, so that you can identify when something is not right. We have to practice discernment.
What she's saying isn't true. It's not anywhere in our doctrine. And "our Bible" is the same Bible all the other Christian churches use. The one with Genesis, Exodus, Mathew, Mark, Luke. Etc. The Book of Mormon is not the Bible. It's another book of scripture written by ancient prophets comparable to the Bible.
I’m calling her out on this one. Calling and election made sure is that you have become righteous enough that you would not commit sin. If you continue to sin, then you didn’t make it.
Disagree slightly, you might commit sin, that is what we are here on earth for, but you would immediately seek repentance and it would certainly be something small. Just because a person is the offspring of someone important does not mean they know diddlysquat about what their parents know.

This would not be the first example of "a dedicated faithful leader" thinking they had a special deal with God. Not just for LDS men. Diabolical doctrine to rationalize sin.
The real doctrine is whosoever is born of God doesn't commit sin. To say we can sin without being held accountable. Is false, for if we go on sinning willfully. There remains no more sacrifice for sins.
No. I highly, highly doubt this. If someone who makes this covenant she referrs to breaks a Commandment, they will be held accountable and their punishment will be more severe.
I keep seeing this topic popping up on TH-cam and it surprises me that people are surprised by it or that they are just learning about it. I learned about this on my mission some 30 + years ago. It never made sense to me but back then I believed everything so was like whatever🤷🏼♂️

Pretty sure there’s zero “normies” in the church that have ever had their calling and election made sure-I.e, the second anointing. This is all exclusive to the brethren and whomever they want in there.
I heard a bit about this from one of my mission companions, and honestly I didn't doubt it because it makes sense. Christ washed the feet of his Apostles, but you don't see anywhere else where he washes other people's feet. I can see this being interpreted as another covenant that an Apostle would make as they are called to that high position. We as regular members don't know too much about it because this isn't a requirement for salvation; all we need to really strive for is being sealed in the temple and anything extra after that depends on how actively we can engage in helping lead the church. It's like with the military how you don't need to be at the very top of the food chain going into all the top secret security clearances in order to be an effective member of the military.
I don't understand this teaching. Jesus washes the disciples feet. Jesus showed them through service like a servant. You don't get a free pass for sins You have to do the will of God and not just hear it Jesus Christ said " if you love me, keep my commands"
Yes, spent many years of your life so somebody can lead you straight into hell. That’s exactly how the devil works. It amazes me that people don’t pick up the Bible and read it for themselves and make a decision. They follow various religions and allow them to direct them through the Bible.
I’m pretty sure God does not see women as beneath men. A lot of these religions call for women to be the weakest one. This is modern times and I’m glad people are speaking up
No. It's the exact opposite. If you have this, you make big time covenants to God, which means big responsibility and if you break those by sinning AT ALL, you can't repent
I love these rules. The con men that invented this scam really knew how to build themselves a good thing. A free sinners pass for the most devoted is sheer genius. Everyone's going to want to buy into that.

That's a distorted way of looking at it. It's all in the scriptures. Book of Mormon still true. Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus in the grove, and he translated the record by the power of God. You can't apply human logic, or expect mortal minds to comprehend this. "And of tenets thou shoult not talk" I disavow anyone speaking out against the truth. We'll all see at the last day

There are things in the Bible which could lead a foolish person to believe that this is a true Christian practice. That is why it's important to know the full counsel of the Gospel, so that you can identify when something is not right. We have to practice discernment.
That’s usually how religions start, mortal man starts telling stories then people start believing them.
What she's saying isn't true. It's not anywhere in our doctrine. And "our Bible" is the same Bible all the other Christian churches use. The one with Genesis, Exodus, Mathew, Mark, Luke. Etc. No, there is nothing that can be done that would give you a free pass to commit sin and not be accountable for it. You misunderstood something.
If only they knew the real spirit none of this would be necessary. Next, they will be selling tickets to Kolob.
Never ask s disgruntled ex Mormon about the church! Thou shall not bear false witness! They will take any sacred ordinance out of context and make it about them and their belief of what they think it means.
But if I ask a faithful member, I will never get the whole truth. Just a watered-down version of what they think it means.
I have been a member of the church for almost 15 years and I can assure that our church will never lead you to do evil or wrong . My understanding is this is what she wants to believe and this is what she wants to understand and that’s her story her reality and no one can argue that . One thing is you will never hear this from an active member who is aiming to be their best versions of themselves.
You're wrong, do some research on second anointing
I am a member of CJLDS.. and i learn that we are free to choose but we are not free to choose the consequences, accountability is important. I have an accountability of every choices of everything to God. Weakness is never was happiness. No unclean things can dwell in the presence of God the church and the temple reminds us to be faithful in keeping the commandments of God, that salvation without exaltation is damnation..
Yes we believe that all mankind may be save(but) by obedience to the laws and ordinaces of the gospel.. (and also a principles of the gospel) i learn also to the restored gospel that our God can judge us according to the scripture i mean according to His words that is written in the scripture. And also according to the disire of our hearts, He did not expect us to be perfected but He expect us to do all things in our whole heart minds and strength to follow His will and that is enough..
I want to tell also to this sister that there is no washing of feet.. inside the temple except if you will go to the comfort room to wash your feet..✌
She misunderstood the last part. It’s not that they can’t sin… it’s that they shouldn’t sin. They are now held to a higher standard.
She misunderstood. Calling election make sure mean you absolutely know. That is where denying of the Holy Ghost and blasphemy come to play a role. There is no forgiveness after that.
@@Tahimate Not true. That is not the intent or purpose of that ceremony. It's to boost the egos and loyalty of high-paying tithers.
I don’t know if this is true (correct me if not) but I heard it is also given to individuals who have donated *huge* amounts to the church. Can anyone confirm?
Completely false.
She’s so completely misinformed it’s laughable!!!
I went to SLC temple square on a Sunday morning. The church was all locked up and chained. I went to the Vatican on Sunday morning, St. Peter’s was open and 1000s of tourists milling about.
Render unto tourists what is tourists' and unto God what is God's.

Yikes
@@PInk77W1 you nailed it.
That’s because they are renovating Temple Square-little detail left out...
because.. renovation.
This would not be the first example of "a dedicated faithful leader" thinking they had a special deal with God. Not just for LDS men. Diabolical doctrine to rationalize sin.
Listen up. God doesn't make demands..but religion does. Let that sink in
Women in the LDS church would never forget, no matter ow hard they work, they won’t have more authority than any 12 year old boy in the church.
Nope.
Study up on the second annoiting.
I keep seeing this topic popping up on TH-cam and it surprises me that people are surprised by it or that they are just learning about it. I learned about this on my mission some 30 + years ago. It never made sense to me but back then I believed everything so was like whatever🤷🏼♂️
Thank you for breaking the secrets behavior.
This is not true. The idea that they can commit all kinds of sins and not be held accountable is a lie. She has no proof. She's going by something she heard how long ago? She's mistaken.
Don’t know what this woman has to say but she has terrible energy and has very little light emanating from her.
She's not credible.
She even stumbles in trying to explain it.
Not a reliable source.
Sounds disjointed.
Although I think SHE thinks she has some kind of inside knowledge of this.
Kind of embarrassing for her.
Once again someone talking about something they clearly don’t understand. It exists but not like that. There are no free passes. She is wrong.
this is very true. And also one of the reasons , as I got older and learned more, I left the church.
I'm sure he did not mean that after the ordinance they can go out and commit adultery or get drunk. I know an elderly couple that got to go to the temple and receive that ordinance. It was absolutely sacred and wonderful. It has nothing to do with getting a free pass on committing serious sin. Those that receive the ordinance are very righteous men and women.
Pretty sure there’s zero “normies” in the church that have ever had their calling and election made sure-I.e, the second anointing. This is all exclusive to the brethren and whomever they want in there.
"More Sure Witness" because their membership commitments aren't enough to keep each other silent about lies.
You don't get a free pass for sins
You have to do the will of God and not just hear it
Jesus Christ said " if you love me, keep my commands"
What she is saying contains many falsehoods, haven't you heard that you can't believe anything on the internet?
There is no such doctrine in the LDS church. No free pass....no committing sins and not being held accountable.
You are very wrong. Member for 57 years here. Thankfully x-mormon now.
Not that you know of...
This is insanity. It’s sounds like insanity.
It sounds like insanity because it is... Because it is not true
@@AlexSLopez-oe2bd oh, wow. You actually believe it isn’t true? I believe it’s 110% true, it’s just complete insanity. Mormonism is fucking insanity.
The way she said and the world says it SOUNDS like insanity.
Yes, spent many years of your life so somebody can lead you straight into hell. That’s exactly how the devil works. It amazes me that people don’t pick up the Bible and read it for themselves and make a decision. They follow various religions and allow them to direct them through the Bible.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is lead by Christ himself. Some day everybody will come to know this.
Yup
I love these rules. The con men that invented this scam really knew how to build themselves a good thing. A free sinners pass for the most devoted is sheer genius. Everyone's going to want to buy into that.
Yes but real devotion is hard. I come nowhere near.
Not that easy.
A FREE PASS FROM SIN?? Man, the higher you go in the hierarchy, the more the entitled, misogynistic MEN you find!! I wash no man's feet if he doesn't wash mine first!
What she's saying is not true.
This is an ancient temple ritual and ordinanace.
There’s no way that is even possible since it’s directly in contrast to doctrine
I agree ! Such bull shzzzz
That's a distorted way of looking at it. It's all in the scriptures. Book of Mormon still true. Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus in the grove, and he translated the record by the power of God. You can't apply human logic, or expect mortal minds to comprehend this. "And of tenets thou shoult not talk"
I disavow anyone speaking out against the truth. We'll all see at the last day
Wow, religion is so selfish...
It's all about the relationship with Jesus Christ! Blessed Trinity!
Heresy is dangerous and so many Christians are so hyper concerned with hating another church instead of living their own gospel. They need to cast stones because it makes them feel empowered. I hope one day they get to know Christ like I have.
she doesn't know what she is talking about. you will always find unhappy people in any church - the early church had the same issues. not much has changed folks.

This and similar posts about the temple are very inappropriate. I have regularly attending the temple for forty years. I feel the peace of God when I am there.
Be careful how you speak of sacred things. Pray for understanding. If you feel insecure or unsafe - those feelings are not of God.
You should not go into a situation, of any sort, if you feel unsafe. Report it to the temple matron or your Ward or Stake Relief Society Pres

Makes sense...Christ instituted the practice... but only for his Apostles telling Peter that "What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this"
If Peter didn't understand it at that time I don't think it's fair to assume antimormons and strip mall sectarians would get it either.

So not Scriptural/Biblical. Sounds like they pick chose WHO comes into their "inner circle".
Jesus says we are accepted in The BELOVED.
Jesus didn't institute the washing of feet to a select group??
@@HaleStorm49 Jesus instructed the Disciples, after washing their feet, that since He did that for them, so ought they wash one another's feet.
It is an example of being a servant to one another. We are accepted in The Beloved (Eph 1:6), as we come to Him, repent from sin, confess Him as Lord, He receives us. It is not about denomination, but Faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
