This was purreee withcraft, it was so ridiculously simple and tasty I can't believe that was like 4 spices? my god. this is going in my regular rotation, I don't know why all these other butter chicken and curry recipes I looked at always felt so complicated, there may be some "missing spices", I'm not sure but it doesn't taste like it and that's the secret sauce

Kasoori Methi should be added in the end WHILE you're cooking after crushing it with your palms. It's an aromatic but bitter leaf especially when dried and needs fat/oils to release that aroma you're talking about Marion. It's gonna taste bitter although you've added very little of it here so it won't have any effect.

Can i make this with turkey as well?? I have some marinated breast in the oven but this sounds amazing, I even have cooking cream and a bottle of Passata. My partner will love this ❤
I’ve been using passata as a curry hack when a recipe calls for tomatoes - game changer. Also crushed ginger/garlic in a jar is FINE lol, especially now that you can score options that don’t have preservatives in them (which is what gives them the odd flavour that Marion is talking about) 😂. Also another hack that Marion would probably clutch her pearls with, cardamom powder instead of the pods 😈
I'm only half psychopath, I do use ginger puree from a tube, but not pre chopped garlic. I like the consistent flavor of the ginger puree and it's very easy to use for anyone with difficulty grasping, peeling, grating etc BUT the color, smell and taste of jarred minced garlic gives me the ick
I agree. Murgh makhani is the recipe I was taught. I know Marion is showing us an easy hack which is fine but if i used a rotisserie chicken my Indian friends would have me trampled by an elephant.

I buy the garlic the peel it and put it in a glass jar so it's ready to go when i need it, just a tip.

I believe in traditional butter chicken or murgh makhani one uses nutmeg instead of cinnamon & oil first then the butter & honey instead of sugar.
