Thanks man, I'm going to try it myself. As far as I can see the most delicate is striping out the screw on the manifold. And the hoses on the back.
I have a 99 sebring just like yours
You have helped me on several projects I have had to do on this car the last one being the alternator. and like you say get all your tools out be did it in two days not bad for a 70 plus year old man. I had to replace my valve cover gaskets and the crossover tube for the water.
I have messed up my vacuum lines somehow for now it idels at just under 2000 rmp.
Is there anyway you can show me were your lines go
The 99 appears to be different than the 2000 model. Wiper tunnel bigger on 99. I almost told the guy to go sell this car to Carmax (still will) because I thought you had to reach behind the intake to take off bolts. Luckily I found this. Great video. Liked and subscribed. Thanks!
I hate working on these motors. Anyway glad I can leave those rear bolts off, if I ever get em off in the first place. Thanks for the vid.

Dude I have a 2000 Chrysler Sebring and I need to replace sway bar and there's No videos ! Can you do a video ? Of how to do it
You need to point out the parts under discussion and use sufficient light so we can see clearly; if you put a light on 2-3 parts still point out with a wooden dowel so as to eliminate any confusion . . . I know good mechanics are very discreet and clear .
Look at my other videos. I went over everything on this engine in detail.
Yhea done all that and worked fine but no one said anything about the Allen on top of sway link but I found it .B ut that weekend my belt broke and it jumped time burnt a valve

have everything taken of intake manifold but won't come off. do you haft to give it a good pull to break the seal on the upper manifold
Did you get the back bolts out? One on each side directly under the cowl on the upper intake. It could be just stuck too.
Some jackass had gasket sealent all over in pried it up with a crowbar all good to go thanks for the video
Could just be stuck or you missed a bolt or two, especially those 2 bolts way in the back on each side that go in horizontal.

Probably the distributor went out. Same thing happened to me.
I have a 98 Chrysler sebring convertible and it has had a problem stalling for 2 weeks during that time the starter went out replaced that then the battery went out replaced that the stalling was still a problem and now it starts then stalls I've also replaced the spark plugs and fuel filter problem has gotten worse. I cant change the fuel pump because when I was going to the fuel pump that anyone has for my car is not the same pump in the car and I would have to redo the wiring to make it fit.. I cant find the pump that Is in the car... do you have any ideas?? I'm at a loss
It could be another issue. Replace the relays. They're cheap.

Is the vacuum nipple on the rear pass. side f the intake plenum used or is it capped off?
The small vacuum nipple in the back bottom/right of the intake attaches to the thin vacuum hose that goes to the EGR. Nothing is capped off.
That black an grey wire what does it lead too, I low it's a accessory wire for inside.

What ended up being the problem source for your whistling and vacuum leak
Never fixed it because it does it sometimes. Likely the intake gasket, which I have the new gasket.
syyenergy7 I have the same problem myself, a whistling sound but is also accompanied by a p0505 code. Replaced the IAC and cleaned the throttle body and it's not helping. Maybe I'll try replacing the plenum gasket later.
A whistling sound is a small vacuum leak. Touch the gas and it stops because that's when the vacuum drops.
I have a random misfire that can't be fixed it's been seen by so many mechanics and shops ughhhh

I believe his is a 96.
1999 1996 through 2000 are the same procedure.

Lol i reused mine too! It has not been in the car more than 7 months but i had to take off the upper manifold to replace heater hoses which were a pain to remove
