This video was a godsend. Saved me four-hundred bucks from having the local dealer doing it. Took just under two hours to do solo. I removed some of the hoses off the intake manifold to be able to maneuver it around enough to get the intake spacer off. [A quick tip...turn / pivot the injectors upwards which makes removal of the spacer a lot easier but you also need to loosen the bolt that holds the fuel line in place in order to get enough wiggle room to take it out. It's next to the 13mm bolt holding the throttle body]. Thanks so much for taking the time to post this.
Great video. Thank you for editing to save time. My 2.7L Dodge Magnum suddenly sprayed coolant from along the intake manifold/ engine mating surface. I'll check for cracks, otherwise I hope replacing these seals will fix the issue.
Attention everyone reading this! 105 inch pounds is different than foot pounds! I had a regular torque wrench and didn’t realize tightening down in foot pounds was incorrect and cracked my fuel rails! If you have a torque wrench make sure it’s in inch pounds!
I have a 2002 Chrysler sebring 2.7 liter 24 valvue . and I would like to know how to get the copper bar out the manifold because I have to change the sensor housing, and I can't get to right bottom coner screw under the manifold?
I've removed every bolt, hose and electrical connector and it won't come off. I've used a mirror to double check that I haven't missed anything. I don't want to break anything but am I supposed to yank hard? It's stuck somewhere under where the throttle body meets the air filter. I can lift the rest a few inches.
Please!!! I need help!!! Trying to remove the bolts on the air intake manifold and they are stripped at the top of the bolt also may be stripped inside the manifold as well. What is the best way to get these bolts out??? It's such a small space!
I just replaced mine to. it still leaks in the front drivers corner behind the throttle body the plentium was rocking back and forth the front shim doesn't seem like it's letting it seat right...
The intake gasket can be damaged by overheating, or it can wear out over time. If that happens, too much air might get into the cylinders, which might cause engine knocking or rough idling. A broken intake gasket can sometimes cause coolant leaks, too.
The V6 engine is 2.5 liters, which gives per cylinder, 416 cc.... A 2.0 liter engine gives 500 cc per cylinder.... In terms of power and consumption, it is equivalent....

I would recommend that you also replace the o-rings on the fuel injectors. I've heard of many fires caused by poor seals from old gaskets.

didn't see any lock tight on the threads of the bolts when they was being put back in.
