Thank you for supporting my videos and your kind comments. Hope to do future videos catching some larger fish, but just happy catching anything at the moment.
Nice video Derek - can you still fish the Lymn near the bridge on Ashby Road - assume it would be upstream of the bridge - I know the landowners round there have changed recently!
I don't know is the honest answer. I did see a car parked on the bridge the other day, but sometimes it is walkers, etc. The deepest holes are definitely upstream, although the fish population of the lymn in this area has been impacted by mink.
Yes a bit of old fashioned fishing. Since filming this video there has been several mink sightings on the river and now it is rare to catch anything, very sad.
Case of walking the river bank with a plummet attached to the hook and plumbing the depth. Set the float to a depth and if it sinks the float it is deeper, if the float sticks out it is shallower. this video may help. th-cam.com/video/-s0SuJSdyUA/w-d-xo.html If fishing a lead/feeder th-cam.com/video/DJI7kaDuWys/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the nice comment. Only started doing the videos as my winter project. Watching videos is not quite the same as being out fishing, but better to be safe.
The easiest is at Northorpe bridge this goes over the River Lymn. This is on the main road from Spilsby to Ashby by Partney, you can park on the bridge and fish to the left of the bridge.
@@eastcoastangler7058 Many thanks for the reply. Great vids. look forward to meeting you on the Bank. I live in Chapel St Leonards right on the bank of the Willoughby Drain. Perhaps I can show you some good fishing after the EA cut the banks and dredge in the autumn. Big roach, big perch and plenty of jack pike.
Great video! The editing on your videos has been excellent so far.

A tip: watch series at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Remy Alvin Definitely, I have been using flixzone for since november myself :)
My type of angler, keeps it simple. Well done and thanks for posting

Always wondered if the Lymn was any good, will have to give it a try. Thanks for the info.
Definitely worth a try, not a bag up river. Wait for the level to drop a bit, still pushing through at the moment. Good luck.
reminds me of the upper witham at beckingham

I fitted a line guard on my centrepin, helped a great deal with the wind.
Good idea, had them on other centrepin reels.
nice one... thats my fave kinda fishing... minimal tackle an fish about 30 swims keep moving......
It does make a nice change to keep moving and trying different swims, also handy when only got an hour or so to spare.
Top stuff , keep it going enjoyable.
Thanks for the positive comment and support.
How do you find the deeper holes in the river? I've tried in a few rivers with no success.

Where is a good access point on the Lymn. I don't want upset any farmers!
