- This week we Roach fish the free fishing deep water swims near the site of the old railway bridge on the River Trent. Fishing deep water on the Stick Float and keeping the fish coming can be tricky. Here is my effort on warm sunny morning in August.

Yes, I used to fish a feeder under it, many years ago

Inspired to try the Vic embankment for the first Tim in what will be 35/40 years fished the Trent loads from Torksey to Holme Pierrepont since but not been in the city for ages.

Hey Kev ! Still loving your videos & locations, especially because it’s Nottingham, albeit u show a good repertoire of all styles of fishing & in my opinion put Nottingham on the map, there’s no angler on you tube doing it better in our region!
Love the old photo of the bridge in the meadows, & think the relatively new parking charge at the embankment is diabolical, greedy penny pinching councillors who was accountable ( Nottingham city council) most recently for losing millions of taxpayers money , anyone should be able to park free in any recreational area for at least 2 to 3 hours !

Had a 4lb+ Perch from that peg on a texas rigged TRD this summer....and numerous ones between 2 - 3lb

@@nottsfishingkbtv402 hi m8 what it is iam just coming up to 68 and very unfit, lifting the gear about does me right in on club matches allways last back most left the car park by time i get back lol. my best fishing bud who took me the last ten years just pass away rotting C, now i just got my driving licence back after well over ten years and saving for a van. thats gonna take a bit of time not help i waste money on a pc game which i must stop playing. ive had enough of carp puddles f1 fishing not my game i never got the grip of it if i get a good feeder peg then can win but fishing has change down my way ( live near reading) my goals maybe see you one day on them steps, to fish the wye and love skim bobs say try meadowlands if i can do these things i be a happy man its me just got to get things done thx m8 for concern. keep the vids coming you catch some lovely roach
Any idea if many barbel or chub come out at TB ?
Yes, they are there, they don't get fished for very often though. A friend had a 12lb Barbel recently.
