Enjoyed this video, I always try to buy that pack of brownies as omiyage for the flight attendants on hawaiian air. As a retired FA I know how hard they work. My recent trip was on a Tuesday, but mondays, tuesdays are closed so Dawn the owner said I could freeze them. So bought them on Sunday put in freezer and they were good and fine to go on Tuesday.
By the way back in March went to that same area and so sparse of cherry blossom but I was still tickled to see them.
Imagine my surprise in Vancouver, last week to see millions of them all over, and they said this year wasn’t as great. I can imagine a great year lol.

Thank you so much for watching! 🥹 yes the cherry blossoms were quite sparse this year but a resident in the area said normally there’s more flowers. I hope to one day experience a real hanami but the other shower trees on island give a pretty good show as well!

Love Shige’s! Getting hungry watching your video. I always have a hard time deciding between the bbq stick and Teri burger to go along with my Saimin.
I live in Mililani and occasionally we will go to Dole for Dole whip. So ono!

Cannot fathom public's attraction for Dole whip. IMO....It's just pineapple-flavored vanilla soft-serve ice cream. Not really cared for pineapple juice....

Although been in Wahiawa 30± years, Shige's owners grandparents started in Haleiwa as Nakai's Saimin @ present-day Café Haleiwa. Living 96786, Wahiawa seems Bigger than 2.3 miles in area!-lol...FYI...Wahiawa Freshwater Park aka is 2d largest reservoir in Hawaii.
