The "what if i'm allergic" was so reassuring for me. My dad almost died from a newly developed seafood allergy when i was a teenage and now I just dont eat seafood and also get nervous that im allergic to literally anything. To make it better, my first symptom of anxiety is a tightening in my throat and difficulty breathing, which i would assume is also the first sign of anaphylaxis.
So relieved to hear this happens to others. The anxiety won’t allow me to peacefully eat it, I would literally make myself feel like I’m having an anaphylactic reaction d/t my breathing becoming faster and swallowing harder from the anxiety..
Giovanni's Shrimp truck is the shit!!! I was stationed there for 3 years and that was my favorite place. But I agree nothing is ever the same after having it in Hawaii 🤷♀️❤️ sushi, ramen, acai bowls, all of it
I'm glad you got to go to Giovannis I worked there for 10 years..I've met people from all around the world there just to eat the garlic shrimp.. and it's made with olive oil not butter... even tho it taste buttery

You have to try their papaya!!!! It’s like a tropical fruit explosion in your mouth! Also, do the brunch buffet at the plumeria beach house! Amazing!!!! And I had açaí bowls nonstop when I had gone too! My favorite one was from Kualoa Ranch!

two things : Amazing pronunciation when u said açaí! As a Brazilian, Açai is usually not authentic outside of brasil. The original version of açai can be eaten, salty and sweet. Açai is usually a much darker color (black and purple) than that Rosie purpleish color. Last thing , once you have a real açai. You can never go back.
