    I get it's a joke, but people commenting about the " I don't know "... It is REALLY hard to analyze yourself, put it into understandable terms, filter what you want to tell and what you want to leave out of the context, and then express it in a foreign language, and on the top of that, do it in public.

      I feel like someone like gorgc (or me) would hear questions like these and like, you kinda wanna give the "right" answer even if it's better to just give the answer that comes to mind, it's hard to start talking to a therapist or someone like that with a feelings answer over a brain logic answer

    I can really relate with Gorgc. Especially at 36:08 where the talk is about alexithymia all I ever did back when I was in school was to get back in front of the computer and my non-existent childhood is all a big blur to me since I've had a weak mother who just let me do it because my problems with school and her work stress at the time made her so incredibly sick that she couldn't work untill I was probably around when I was 19 or 20 years old. All I remember from school is going to class and not being interested literally staring into blank space most of the time.
    It was worth watching this entire video and I understand my inability to feel or cry now.

  • @double-Flex8002

    I've watched so many of these sessions because so much of what these guys on the other end of the discussion express I relate to but could not put in to words myself. It's lovely to see other people be able to talk about their issues & actually get any kind of response related to what's going on inside them. I would love to feel like Dr. K was able to give them the solution they are looking for but from my understanding he is allowing them to think critically about what it is that really bothers them most so that they can find the solution within themselves.

    Thank you very much for this, both of you.
    Going through some shit right now, this helped me a lot understanding myself.
    I've talked to a handful of therapists and the most common thing was my inability to answer them the frequent "How did you feel?" question.
    This lack of understanding frustrated me and probably the people, who tried to work with me, as well.
    Another thing which bothers me and and has the same cause i think, is my remembering actual events.
    My friends tell fun stories from some time ago, mentioning me being in this situation, but i don't remember anything.
    @Gorgc
    Sincerely, I don't watch your stream often, but I enjoy the edited VOD stuff on youtube. Especially those with sing and bamboe, ROFL'ed so many times.
    Keep up the good work

    I feel Gorgc definitely made some realisations but a lot of it seemed like it was you holding his hand through them all, it goes to show how emotionaly numb he really is. It just feels like streaming dota2 is actualy making Gorgc's situation worse and not better, and he lacks a social life outside of it. Oddly enough a lot of adults get their social life from their workplace and co-workers, steaming is quite a lonely job when you think about it and we are after all social creatures.
    I do commend you Gorgc for being brave and putting yourself out there, go put yourself out of your comfort zone and have some experiences mate you deserve it!

    I wanna say as a long time fan of Gorgc, I don't care if he does bad and lose game after game. I think twitch chat is super toxic. Not having a good healthy community is dangerous, more so for a streamer that only plays one game. Varity would be good, although if he wanna be at the top in the dota community, it would be hard. I can relate to many things that comes up in this interview. Not stepping up for his dad, is exactly how I did it as well. I played games whilst he was dying. I'd love to have a talk with Gorgc to bounce things off eachother. I love that he came on for this. Thanks Dr. K! I appreciate it!

I used to play world of Warcraft and I’m starting to wonder maybe chess although mathematical, playing online, the same pressure to keep an grade A expectation and trying to understand streaming “celebrities” like international chess masters games and apply it to my own against people who do the same. Getting out played is having a negative impact on my ego.

    49:44 you were on to something. How does a kid become money-aware? by being involved with the money at home. he gave it all back to his mom. he felt like he had to help but in comparison to big brother he wasn't compared to the golden child.

      @Thatshow ED while its not good that parents worry their children over financial issues when they are young, helping the mom is probably he best decision the child can make. Growing up poor is not really good but what can the mom or the child do except try to live with it? Blaming the mom seems a bit immature and not very realistic to me but you can disagree

    How do we deal with the fact that sometimes you finally begin to put new things in to the cake, but it still tastes like shit? That discouragement is really powerful, so how should I encourage my friends to keep trying when they do put in the effort, but get the same results?

      Lol stop assuming things about people you dont actually know. The guy just had a break-up and the Classic drama in general is taking its toll. He was obviously frustrated and wanted to cool off and come back more refreshed. Streamers are people. They dont need to work every day of the week for your entertainment son.

    Hey man, what would I have to do to be able to have a "session" with you? I'm not anyone"famous" so I can't offer any publicity for your channel (which I assume is your main goal right now, the more people that know about you means the more people that you can help) but I feel like I could really benefit from your expertise. I'm willing to pay if that's what it takes, and i'm also willing to talk to you on stream so that if anyone relates to my problems then your answers may help those viewers as well. you probably won't read this but I thought I would atleast try to reach out.

    • @agit9093
      @agit9093 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello there friend, you can always reach psychiatrist near you. They have same expertise anyway, so it wouldn't have much difference. What's matter the most in the end is your mental health, not with which psychiatrist you talk to or even other viewers.
      Well, I hope you best of luck friend.

    I love this side of gorgc. He seems like a nice person. And its great to see his personal side.
    Btw I think Dr. K is a bit off. You showed gorgc parts of his problems, but no way to help him out.

    • @indaneym
      @indaneym 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      that's what i get from all of Dr. K's videos, i know the problems but just can't see myself getting out of these problems(with the help of these videos). could be my 3rd world english and i may not be able to comprehend tho idk. i just feel symphatetic with gorgc, he's a nice guy, he deserves to be happy, i hope he figures his way.

      @@indaneym most of the time that's what you get if you go to therapy. A good therapist doesn't necessarily fix your problems. They help you identify what the problems are regarding your mental health, guide you to come to terms with it, and from there you have to figure out yourself.

    • @ShitOwl

      honestly don't talk shit gorcg wasn't being very open and most questions he was asked he said i don't know and i guess and seemed very annoyed tbh

      @AlexAfKullavik 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Giving directions on how to get out of your problems is generally a big no no for therapists, especially in such an early stage of treatment. As other people have mentioned, therapists are there to help you realize what problems you have and where they stem from. Once that is done, you are usually the expert on what works for you. Now that's not to say therapists can't give you advice if you ask for it, but that should be done carefully.

      It seemed a bit like Dr. K was looking for specific answers that he knows how to answer well or has talked about before. He kept prompting Gorgc to use the word 'inadequancy' 'inadequate' even tho you could see he was hesitating to respond in the affirmative he kept prompting it so Gorgc basically just agreed.

    If you truly want to be happy in life - focus on the self always. Never, ever live your life through other's ideology or influence. Set in stone the fact that you have worth and have meaning always, no matter the outcome. Break down the pressure and expectation of 'perfection'. Enjoy the journey and take your time. There is no rush.

  • @alexr7530
    @alexr7530 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the same attitude about money as gorc does. And if you think abou that - gorc wouldn't be where he is now if he didn't have that type of self-anger. I guess what you need to do is to give yourself a break sometimes - you can't stream nonstop, you can't feel bad about yourself all the time. The money is just one aspect of your life. But what about friends, family, personal life - you cannot ignore it and focus only on one thing. I mean in your mind, gorc, you think that if you don't improve constantly, you will lose everything, but it's not true. In fact, nothing bad will happen if starting from that day you lose all fucking games; I mean your income will be fine, audience won't go anywhere. So I guess you should just try to get new expierence as the Dr. K recommended, like going out of your comfort zone: meeting new people, travelling, dating, etc.
