Hey man thanks for the video, I have an 84 4x4 ranger I’m doing the same thing too. I just got my long block back from the machine shop with the forged pistons. What did you do for intake manifold ? Could you post a video of what your setup looks like? I’ve been trying to find as many write ups on blow through turbo set up but not finding much. I would love to pick your brain. I have the money to do it but want to do it right.

When I was 11 back in 2003 my first oval track car was a Ford mustang from the '80s with the 2.3 l motor in it we ran the 500 CFM carburetor from Holly it was called the Holley 500 with a full MSD ignition headers and we also had a 500 lift cam with mouse trap springs and adjustable timing chain and of course it was bored 60 over the heads reported and shaved and when I say shaved they were shaved down then nothing on the deck and we was able to turn 10,000 RPMs and making $396 horsepower the rear wheels because we had to run a restrictor plate without the restrictor plate it was making 560 horsepower to the rear wheels and then esslinger racing makes a full aluminum based 2.3 l Ford 4 cylinder motor for mini sprint cars but it will bolt right up to the Ford ranger in the Ford mustang from that era and I got me a street version of my mustang that I raced on a circle track and it's got the stock 2.3 l with the same setup that we use for oval track racing and it is a beast what I'm racing against all these newer cars with like the Dodge charger and the Dodge Challenger hellcat and he's five little mustangs and all this other crap my little Ford 4 cylinder smokes them every time I love it. And for everybody wondering if you want to get really cheap just find the old turbo off of the Thunderbird or the Caprice or whatever when it came with the turbo with these motors and with stock you can run up the five to six pounds of boost and it will make it come alive as well so you'll have a cheap little turboed for cylinder carburetor mustang or Ford ranger for really cheap just put a bigger blow off valve spring on it I bet she don't go over like 8 lb of boost is the max I would go with a stock bottom end and yes no joke at all the holy 500 carb has no choke at all for circle track racing the choke will make this car and motor run like crap. I had mine up to 14 lbs of boost wouldn't do it all the time but it's fun

I have a 1988 ranger with 2.3 engine and I have intended to make it turbo, I do not want to do competition, I simply look for an improvement and had planned to put between 5 and 6 psi, however I have the doubt if the engine stock support is pressure and I also have the doubt if it is necessary to replace the ECU for a reprogramming or I can use the original ECU for 5 psi

I don't understand anything, I speak Spanish But I have some doubts is the engine stock? Is the ECU stock? is the engine from a bronco, ranger or thunderbird? (I am interested in putting a turbo in my 2.3 Ranger 1988)

This is a carburetor, no Ecu. The engine block is from a boat OMC cobra 2.3L. It is a forged crank and rods, I added forged pistons.
