I, watch every Ford content video, you make! Always, loved the turbo 2.3! Had, a couple of them.
One of my favorite motors, practically indestructible
Great video. Just whack a turbo on it they say.
Itâll be great they say
This truck is actually really cool
I remember when this truck was for sale not long ago
When's the next O'REILLY meet? Get the owner to bring that truck!
Colby wanted to wait till it's warmed up some
That looks like a super fun project. I hope we get to see it again.
It has a lot of potential
Whered would one get that "modifications" sticker that is under the hood. Thats a nice subtle touch.
@@combatunion1884 stinger performance used to sell them
That little truck is cool
It sure is , pretty quick too
I wonder if an intake could be made from stainless steel piping and flanges. Or get a junkyard one. It is a neat truck.
I've actually got one made of stainless
Sounds like that intake needs an appointment with a tig welder.
As thin as it is probably best to start fresh
It's fairly expensive to get quality modifications done on a 2.3 Lima so I'm guessing someone thought they'd save some money and do it themselves.
That intake has to go.
It definitely needed replacement but he just sent 30+ psi through it and it's holding
So how much boost can you run on a stock 90 model 2.3 with forged internals?
Alot really I've ran over 30psi on stock turbo bottom end
@@HotRodGuyGarage I'm asking how much on a non forged turbo bottom end just a run of the mill 2.3 stock bottom
@@enjoythesho1992 I'd probably try to stay less then 14psi if tuned correctly
I s that a 65 Galaxie in the corner?
I don't believe so
Hey man Iâm attempting to build a 2.3L turbo myself out a 84â Ranger 4-speed with 4x4. I was wondering if you modified the current engine or swapped in one already with a turbo from a different ford?
This truck has a 84-88 2.3T and corresponding T5 transmission swapped in on a stinger pimp ecm (megasquirt)
@@HotRodGuyGarage okay thank you! Whatâs the 2.3T out of?
83-84 mustang GT Turbo
84-86 mustang SVO
84-88 thunderbird turbo coupe
84-86 mercury cougar Turbo
Merkur xr4Ti (engine only)
@@HotRodGuyGarage Is there one you would personally recommend using?
There all basically the same just variances in turbos and intakes the biggest difference is as stock is the intercooler or lack of and corresponding calibations
The 83-86 had better turbos stock and the 87-88 had intercoolers and a smaller turbo
Does it run stock EFI or afttermarket?
It's one a pimp ecu (ms3 based megasquirt system)
