I take by this vid ( which was really helpfull ) you can roll the awening from the top i was afraid of snapping the plastic trim that that threads into the caravan

Hi Mel, Very durable to storms. An extremely well made awning and I highly reccomend checking out my review on my channel. Thanks for watching, Oliver.

had a few of these kampa awnings, but they fade so quick, changing to a camptech this year due to better quality and easy to clean

Oliver, I would suggest getting the extra poles for the pads against the caravan sides. The new lightweight aluminium ones are the best and on a seasonal they just finish it off and make it air tight. The limpets are the one thing from Kampa which are "POOOOOO". they really dont work very well and keep unataching themselves from the side of the van. All else looks good though, well done. Nick T.

Cheers Nick. Considered the poles, but we wanted to go totally poleless. The limpits are doing a good job so far. It’s a nice awning though. Cheers Oliver

Nice vlog Oliver, the first time we put our Vango air awning up it took over 2hrs. It’s down to about 30 mins now! 🤪 Thanks for sharing. Martin 😊

Looks like a great awning. One tip that I picked up from Dans channel that is worth doing is to ensure you put a twist or two into the guy lines and storm straps as this will reduce the noise when it gets windy. They can make a right racket when the wind gets up.

Cheers Neil. I did do this after I took the video! Cheers Oliver

Not sure why two people are needed? Kampa have an awning, Easy Awning pulley, which makes a for a one person task fitting the awning. I use this excellent device with my Kampa 330.
Plus the have excellent breathable mats to suit each awning.

Cheers Graham. Two people makes it easier, not needed but helpful! Yes a new groundsheet maybe nice but not essential. Thanks for watching, Oliver

Caravanning with the Coxs not easy if the other is disabled!

Possibly but they are not adding much weight. The limpets are pretty easy to fit! Thanks for watching. Oliver

Interesting to watch Oliver, thank you! We manage to get our Elan 280 up, without too many issues, but taking it down and folding it into the (far too small!) bag is fun each time! So, the limpets are an interesting addition - are they Vango specific, as they do look to do a good job? And you peg through the groundsheet? Not been that brave yet tbh... 🤷🏼‍♂️ 👍🏻 🐍

Cheers Rog! The limpets need wholes at the back of the awning we bought them when we bought the awning. Our groundsheet is very cheap as this awning is more of a storage/eating area, so yes we do peg through it. Where you see it’s longer at the front that’s no inside the awning! Thanks for watching. Oliver

It's all the guy lines that put me off I'd always be tripping on my
    Way to the toilet tent

Quite Agree Greg. There is a lot of Guy lines. But we don't need to go to the back of the awning.
      Thanks for Watching
