Parking at the pump?! Even I know not to do that, it's like parking at a spot with clear markings with your wheels on the line, not even bothering to try to center your vehicle so the next guy can open their door ☠️😸

I don’t get the hype myself. But they have been a convenient place to stop on my travels, including with a company van full of coworkers. Don’t recall ever having an issue with restrooms or a waiting for one. I did see one that was out of fuel once, but a storm had cut the power to nearby areas. I bought a cast iron shrimp skillet there. Never seen that before anywhere else. Love it. The one just outside of Dallas, TX is camper friendly. We stop there every single time we go thru there. Especially if we arrive there before the traffic dies down in Dallas. I don't drive thru Dallas during the day. Just NO!!! Anyways, we love Buccee's.
I am so glad you mentioned that thing about leaving your car at a gas pump while you shop. That is so annoying. I just want to poke holes in all four of their tires! I go to the Daytona Buc-ee's. and it's always busy. I had to hunt for an open pump on a Tuesday night at 8 pm. I try to avoid them on weekends.
I called out one "lady" for parking at the pumps, she did not/had not gotten gas, just parked there and went shopping. She said she did indeed get gas and had to go inside for a receipt....and three bags of stuff. I asked her how she got gas...the pump handle wouldn't reach her filler, it was on the side farthest from the pump. She told me to....well, go and do something not suitable for YT. I see that so much at our Bucees and don't understand why, plenty of parking closer to the building.
Never did the car wash. The last Buc-ee's I visited in Bastrop Texas had unbelievably great food and their restrooms were cleaner than mine at home, and that's not possible. So, I was obviously in an alternate universe during my visit.
Not parking in a gas spot may be etiquette, but it isn't something that's enforced. We stopped at the Buc-ee's in Kodak TN for gas, pulling our travel trailer (they're not RV friendly either.) The pump was on our left, a car was in front of us, a tour bus on our right, and we couldn't back up. So we sat waiting for both drivers, who were nowhere to be found. We complained to management (politely, not Karen-y) and were told that they could not ask the drivers to move. So we had no choice but to wait for over 30 minutes, after which the bus driver finally showed up, his shopping done. While we waited, we noticed a bunch of other drivers had done the same thing, since there was no other parking to be found. With the bus finally gone, we could maneuver around the car in front (never did see the driver,) then waited another 30 minutes or so just to get back to the main road. I love Beaver Nuggets, but it just isn't worth it.

Then return into the store wait a cashier line and recieve change, walk around and find bathroom, return to car and leave. All the while fighting traffic and avoiding getting hit by walking into store or even when trying to find a vacant pump or to exit the mega mess.
Yeah, we love Buc-ees', but it is getting ever harder to get in and leave with any type of RV. It's so bad, the last time we were there, it took us almost an hour just to get out of the parking lot. They had people directing trafic that clearly did not know what they are doing. Also, they ALL need larger parking lots especially for RV's! We have parked at the pump simply because there was no other option. Not only that, but almost every RV and vehicle were doing that. I agree you should not, but it's up to Buc's to fix this problem. There Brisket sandwiches are great! The main reason we don't stop there much anymore is because of the traffic. It's one thing to go there is a car or van, but it entirely different when pulling a 31 foot 5th wheel and no where to go.

Not all Buc-ees have cavernous parking lots., in other words, the facility wasn’t built with enough “away-from-the-fuel-island” parking. That suggests that whoever specified the number of parking spaces available for customers who had already purchased fuel for their vehicle underestimated the amount of time many of their patrons would spend in the bathroom and store. Haha… don’t bring a clean car to Buc-ees. I thought you were going to say it would be filled with beaver nugget and assorted crumbs afterwards, so don’t waste your time cleaning it beforehand! 😂
Except, Buccees mandates that their empoyees throw away some of the best parts of the brisket. They should be using that fat they cut off in the chopped beef if they knew what they were doing, they literally only use the "skinny" less fat, dry side of the brisket, thats why their sandwiches are always dry. They cut it wrong, and throw away the best part. We have even asked if we could buy the other portion of the brisket by the pound and were told, no, they are required by management rules to throw it away. So damn wasteful. They waste a 1/3 of every single brisket they cook. Sure wish I knew who made that rule so I can prove to them how wasteful they are being, because the piece of meat they call all fat, isnt all fat, and literally every restaraunt in Texas that smokes brisket skims the charred fat off that side, slices the leaner portion Of it, and uses the rest in their chopped beef. Ridiculous.
Thanks for sharing your perspective! It’s definitely frustrating to hear about waste, especially when it involves such a key part of brisket that many BBQ lovers value. Using the trimmed portions in chopped beef or other dishes makes so much sense, and it’s surprising Buc-ee’s hasn’t adopted a similar approach. Hopefully, feedback like yours gets back to the right people so they can consider making a change. It’s always great when businesses can balance quality with minimizing waste!
@@WApnj brisket cooked properly has fat marbled through it that is like melted butter, adds tons of flavor and moisture to otherwise dry meat. Its not chewy at all, it melts in your mouth. Brisket used to be considered a cheap or bad cut, since it has to cook for hours to become tender enough to eat. While it smokes those many hours, typically at least 7 to 10 hours, the fat in it helps maintain moisture and also helps keep the "bark" or the black burnt bit from going into the meat too deep, while still allowing the smoke to penetrate the meat and add tons of flavor.

Pssst...it's not just you. 😊
There are plans for a buccees in Pa in the future.
Supposed to get one in Ohio near Dayton.
I love everything about buc-ee’s but the food is definitely over rated.
Hmmm if you spend $16 for a car wash and get fuel, I’m no mathematician but you’re not saving anything rofl.
I just came here to see if you got the estate sale RV
We will have an update soon!
Datona Bucees’ has a car wash. 👍
Concerning dirty cars need washing....
Everybody has seen where somebody has written "Wash Me" on a vehicle.
I usually go one step further, writing "Wish my wife was this dirty!" on a vehicle.
Winter time is here, need to get in more practice!!!!
What happened with the camper bid.
Update coming soon!
Must be dangerous to live close to one of their locations.🤣
Buc ees is insanely expensive
Place is too expensive for everything. Like to look but don’t buy much there
Imagine gate keeping a gas station
Good lord. Learn to park
There’s a TH-cam video of a guy being asked to leave Buccees with his service duck 🦆
That’s hilarious!
Too bad I didn't know any of this when I lived down there, lol. NoGive information for others.
Need a Bucces in New York
💯
The cooked food is over cooked and very dry. I got a sausage egg biscuit an it was so dry and crunchy i couldnt eat it.the sausage is nasty never eat at buc-ee's 🤮
But no hot dogs at Bucees.
True, but the food options are pretty amazing. Thanks for watching
@@GratefulGlamper You did an excellent job on this video.
@@GratefulGlamper, I am also totally intrigued by Bucees' marking model.
They don't allow bobtail tractors. I would understand no trailers but the fact that they don't allow a bobtail truck. That tells me they don't want my money. Thanks but no thanks
You can't even park inside the lines?
It's 24/7/52 or 24/365... Just sayin.
So is that you on the thumbnail of the site that says. Interrogation raw most viewed moments of 2024 on a&e. If not it's your twin.
Definitely not me !
@GratefulGlamper LOL, did you view the thumbnail I was talking about it's uncanny.
You can’t even park between the lines. Sheesh.
I love Buc-ee's but those nuggets are gross 🤢. They taste just like Captain Crunch cereal 🤮
Not much longer
Never been. 5 min into this video and I hate Bucees.
What is with all the worship of that horrible place?
On my first Buc-ee’s shopping experience in Texas, the gas pump attendant told me it was ok to leave my car at the pump while I was in the store. I have visited that stop in Florida. As I traveled back to Kentucky from south Florida, I only gassed at buc-ee’s .
Where did you go that had pump attendants in Texas? I have been to dang near every one of them here and have never seen a pump attendant...
@ . I was traveling between San Angelo and Houston. The attendant told me it takes him all day to get around to each of over 100 gas pumps.
I guess it depends on the location!
Tourist trap
I don’t like it. We have one in east TN.
According to the owner, it is expected for you to leave your car at the pump. There is plenty of pumps for that reason.
@@robertself5930 🤣 Maybe BEFORE they went viral on social media. Moving to a spot is just the considerate thing to do. There are way more parking spots than gas pumps.
I see more and more people posting videos overnight parking there!!!!
The managers make their rounds and kick people out. They are usually pretty quick to see if someone hangs around for too long
4 hours max they watch
