Nah man, I think you're confused. The only current Spider-Man run is the Ultimate Spider-Man 2024. I think you're reading some type of fan comic because it's impossible for it to be that bad and be official
I can understand that this Spider-Man era isn’t very well received, but my favorite issues of that Spider-Man era are 939 and 940 because I really loved how Spider-Man and Jackpot join forces. I hopefully think that once this era is over, they’ll kill off Paul Rabin and Spider-Man and Jackpot could get back together and have their own mini comic book series called ‘Spider-Man and Jackpot.’ Whose with me?
The analysis is spot on. This is the worst Spider-Man Comic run I've read in my 55 years of following "ASM". I thought Sins Past and the Clone Saga were awful, but this is dreadful. Great video. Maybe Marvel should hire you to write "ASM". We could say, 'MNStash to the Rescue." Looking forward to your "ASM # 47" review. Spoiler alert. it gets worse in the next issue. Geez! Keep up the great work. BTW, nice intro.
I think im just gonna keep the it gets worse as a running gag for the titles😂thank you for watching and the kind words man it means a lot! I was super busy with work and finally had time to make something and I wanted the intro to be a little different glad you enjoyed it! to be honest ive an outline for a story that fixes spider-man comics sitting in my desk for over a year now!
I made a video on this book a while back and I was just going off the cuff, tiredly ranting about it, but I love this video because I agree with everything you’re saying word-for-word and it’s very polished too. Keep up the good work!
I heard rumors that the ultimate spider man series by jonathan hickman is only gonna run around issue 12 which is hard to believe on what the rumors are saying but I do hoped that we get more issues after 12 like may around 20 or 30 beyond like before unless marvel intends to hire a new writer for the series and that would cause some inconsistencies that the original run had which I don't want to happen again I do hoped that hickman stays for around 20 or 30 issues of us and marvel keep for more issues since usm sells more than the current asm as of now
That sucks man. It seems like now no comic series can last long before it just reboots and goes back to issue 1. If it’s true let’s just hope it’s the best 12 issue possible
Ultimate Spider-Man 2024 is made for the fans to Spider-Man, we want to see our boy grow and have everyday normal problems that can be fixed and not to the extreme as these writers love to do, lazy writing combined with making up things as they go, such a confusing run,Spider-Man is a already well written character with already well written side characters, all you have to do is keep up with every character decisions that don’t sound out of character 🤦🏻♂️
I'd just read the Jackpot series if you want anything from the main line. Stick to Ultimate Spiderman and show them an adult spiderman is what we want.
7 Step Guide for marvel to fix this in my opinion (Technically 8 but step 0 I take as a given): 0: Get rid of Zeb Wells (Black list him from any Spider-man book) 1: Remove Mary Janes powers and make her reconnect with the fact that she doesn't want and never has wanted powers. 2: Kill Paul off (permanently non-negotiable - maybe make him a villain who tries to murder Peter out of jealousy because Mary Jane starts to come to her senses (possibly brainwashing perhaps related to her "Powers") and tries to leave him to go back to Peter) 3: Get Peters life back on track (Doesn't have to be living the high life just not a sad pathetic looser and doormat who continuously makes the same mistakes that he has learned his lesson to a thousand times over) 4: Get MJ and Peter back together (maybe not immediately but at the very least make it abundantly clear that she is the main love interest and eventually have them get back together for good) 5: Let peter mature and grow up have a life with MJ and have a kid/kids Possible add-ons 6: Get rid of bailey (spider-boy) no one likes him or are at the very least indifferent and leave the Spider-Boy/Spider-Girl titles open for the kids of Peter and MJ 7: Remove Miles Morales from Earth-616 and into his own universe or failling that atleast give him a unique name (I already don't like Miles but I also think its REALLY stupid to have two spider themed super heroes in one universe let alone the same city using the name Spider-man as there is only one true Spider-man and that's Peter as he is the original end of.)
I like your list but I would make two adjustments. First I want Peter to just be single and not miserable for a bit. Let him get his life together and let us wait until he forgives MJ to take her back As for Miles he doesn't need to leave the universe just put him in a different city. Seriously why does Marvel act like NYC is the only city in the world?
@@patrickmcguire7896 honestly, Peter needs to get his self-respect back and call out MJ for how she treated his cause as much as the story wants to paint it like MJ handled the situation properly and the problem is Peter. That's not the case she made every wrong decision in handling that situation. And she is partially to blame for Peter being in the state he's in and he deserves a proper talk and an apology.
Both Miles and Bailey can be shipped off to another universe, thanks to Morlun's family, there's more than a few lacking a spider-man version, and throw in Spider-gwen while we're at it, clean up house.
this would be the easiest and best way to get the book back on track especially if we add Peter reverting back to his old respectable self. Im glad someone else can't stand the idea of spider boy, such a pointless creation.
I am not giving up on Peter and MJ. There are some panels in ams that are there to give me (us) hope MJ stil loves Peter. In the latest issue when Peter was on the phone with her. She actually said, when she realized it was a date.. oh no! I mean why would she.. If she mentioned earlier she was ok with him moving on. When she clearly is not. I hope Zeb smells realizes his career after asm is over. He burned his bridges with his fans.😢

Unless this terribly Out Of Character Mary-Jane Watson turns out to be an Imposter- the ONLY way of saving the reputation of this beloved character- then I'm done with 616 Mary-Jane, she and Paul can Fuck Off to Las Vegas or wherever. Wells and Co. has been dragging this incoherent mess for 2+ Years, at least could've done a full issue or 2 of Mary-Jane's 4 years in exile, the flashback snippets in #25 aren't enough to justify her treatment of Peter, if ASM Creatives are adamant that this is the REAL Mary-Jane then let's get HER side of the story, her POV, her thoughts as to when she gave up on Peter- her Soulmate. Let it be her "Hero's Journey" her saga, surviving in the hellscape, she depending on Paul and vice versa- and I won't like it- but when she fell in love with him and fell out of love with Peter, the kids vanished and she's still with him, so let's get his story as well.
its crazy to think about like you said them dragging this on for a over a couple years when the run that came before it spent all its time working so hard trying to fix everything and actually got it to a very promising point! a divorce is no reason to ruin marvels best couple, its pretty pathetic from Wells
@@mnstash I've been a Spider-Man fan since I was a little kid in late 1970s, best Spider-Man was 1987 to early 2000s, his Adult years as a happily married man. In the interim years up to mid 1980s, yes Peter had bad situations, but he bounced back AND more importantly he FOUGHT Back! In this current run, Peter is passive, he's been depressed and bystander in his own comic for 2 years, and of course the Mary-Jane situation, ok I'd accept the fact that Peter has let MJ go BUT he's such a Milquetoast with her- what's next he's going to take care of Aunt Anna, clean the house, water the plants, do the laundry while Mary-Jane and Paul go off for a Romantic Holiday?!
@@jcreed09 I always find it an honour in a sense when true spidey fans like yourself watch my content. granted I've read every single spider-man comic but you got to experience it, I wish I could've! it must've been the best to read this issue fresh off the shelf. but you're right this Peter is just a shadow of his former self. he can't even beat up the vulture in this, we're talking about the man who beat firelord up with his fists
@@mnstash Honour is mine as well, I like your take on this current run. One of my favorite issues was during the Interim years (After Gwen, Before Marriage) Peter temporarily lost his powers, just mid-20s Grad Student Normie but he was still a Bad Ass, a criminal tried to run away from the cops, Peter stopped him by smacking the shit out of him, no Spider-strength, just Peter "doing his civic duty" memorable line. Best era was the 1990s, PEAK Peter Parker and his beautiful wife Mary-Jane PARKER. Todd McFarlane, Erik Larsen, others, I had a subscription, no digital internet copy back then, couldn't wait for the next issue. Mary-Jane was a free-spirit, had her own vibe, her own career BUT was fiercely loyal to Peter - and he to her. One issue when Peter tried to get her to go back to school, get her degree, MJ tried but honestly told Peter that college wasn't for her, her passion was being a Model and Actress, made them good $$- owned a Manhattan Apartment at the time- Peter accepted that and loved her more for it. In the 1990s, Editorial never tried to change Mary-Jane, never tried to make her a reporter, a secretary, or whatever stupid shit they had her do past 17 years in the comics or the video games- NEVER made Apologies for MJ being a Glamour Model. Mary-Jane Watson Parker is Beautiful Woman, deal with it! Peter Parker and Mary-Jane were THE Couple in all of Comics back then...I miss them terribly. I stopped being a regular comic book reader close to 20 years ago, buy an issue or entire run if was interesting, also bought trades on occasion like "Renew Your Vows" totally quit Spider-Man after "One More Day." I went back to Spider-Man after reading CBR's review on Mary-Jane and Paul- they got me, intrigued, thought maybe a backdoor way to undo "One More Day" instead, Out of Character Mary-Jane Watson hooking up with some Rando Insert then becoming a Superhero named Jackpot- WTF?! Editorial finally found a way to make Fandom hate MJ and not clamor for the marriage to return to ASM. I know since OMD, Peter Parker has been on the Misery Porn Hamster Wheel but this current run went beyond even that- 40 years of being a fan, I've never seen Peter so Irrelevant in his own book, so BEATEN down, not just by 2nd Rate Villains like Vulture and Tombstone but by his so-called Soulmate, the love of his life- Mary Jane Watson! Anyway, Zeb Wells is supposed to go after #60, not counting on him to resolve the MJ/Paul debacle, it's basically set, if or when it gets resolved will be for the next creative team.
@@jcreed09 thank you im glad you like my opinions :) I really miss reading those stories when I was up to them! it just felt like the perfect status quo and I remember being so immersed reading that period. I hated that shocking attempt at a mini reboot but then JMS and JRJR came through with one of my favourite runs ever unfortunately sins past and omd followed it. tbh I like to cut of spidey books at issue 500, I think its the perfect ending for petter and its an amazing story with pencils by JRJR and JRSR what's not to love!
I mean, MJ has been the love interest this entire run. It's never been written as anything but a temporary roadblock, except that by having her abandon Peter and choose Paul they ruined her and made her unviable. The danger to this run was always they would try to just slap them back together, but now she's completely untrustable and anything she says is meaningless because by her actions she's "proven" (out of character but still) that she doesn't love him. So of course they're going to tease it, what's shocking is how badly they've done it before this. And this doesn't make it any better. Having MJ admit that basically, if he was faster maybe she'd still love him, just makes her seem shallow and her love meaningless. Really really hated this issue because of that "talk". There really is no way to save her without some kind of massive retcon making her a fake or brainwashed or just lying about everything.
Their afraid to admit that and it's bad that a fictional woman has these make TH-camrs ballz in a vice shows how weak this dude in real life not to admit it

Nah man, I think you're confused. The only current Spider-Man run is the Ultimate Spider-Man 2024. I think you're reading some type of fan comic because it's impossible for it to be that bad and be official
oh yeah my bad, must've been from that horrible dream I had at the start of the video🤨
"OMG IS THAT BEN REILLY?!"
me a ben reilly fan:NO THIS ISN'T HAPPENING THERE IS NO REASON TO ME TO GO ON W- WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR!!!
HAVENT THEY RUINED ENOUGH ALREADY?!
The only redeeming quality of the Wells run is Rek-Rap. I love seeing that doofus.
Thank you, I try to keep a script going but sometimes I can help by start ranting about things😅
@@mnstash Indeed
Ultimate Spider-Man 2024 is made for the fans to Spider-Man, we want to see our boy grow and have everyday normal problems that can be fixed and not to the extreme as these writers love to do, lazy writing combined with making up things as they go, such a confusing run,Spider-Man is a already well written character with already well written side characters, all you have to do is keep up with every character decisions that don’t sound out of character 🤦🏻♂️
I'd just read the Jackpot series if you want anything from the main line. Stick to Ultimate Spiderman and show them an adult spiderman is what we want.
I can't wait for the next issue of ultimate spider-man. ive already pre ordered all of the j Scott campell variant covers!
I love peter and MJ date and I am happy that we all got ultimate spider man and it is amazing 🎉❤🔥💕❣️😻😘💋🕷️🕸️😍💓💗💖💯💌🥳💘👋 and good intro man 👍
thank you :) keep spreading the love of our favourite couple!
That true
Love the intro zeb is dead to me keep the vids coming
thank you my good man
They just keep f-ing Peter Parker.Whether it's in the awful MCU movies or in the games. He just can't catch a break.
its not even Parker luck anymore, its just the writers getting a hard on everytime they make his life shit
@@mnstash True.The writers at Marvel.Are terrible.
7 Step Guide for marvel to fix this in my opinion (Technically 8 but step 0 I take as a given):
0: Get rid of Zeb Wells (Black list him from any Spider-man book)
1: Remove Mary Janes powers and make her reconnect with the fact that she doesn't want and never has wanted powers.
2: Kill Paul off (permanently non-negotiable - maybe make him a villain who tries to murder Peter out of jealousy because Mary Jane starts to come to her senses (possibly brainwashing perhaps related to her "Powers") and tries to leave him to go back to Peter)
3: Get Peters life back on track (Doesn't have to be living the high life just not a sad pathetic looser and doormat who continuously makes the same mistakes that he has learned his lesson to a thousand times over)
4: Get MJ and Peter back together (maybe not immediately but at the very least make it abundantly clear that she is the main love interest and eventually have them get back together for good)
5: Let peter mature and grow up have a life with MJ and have a kid/kids
Possible add-ons
6: Get rid of bailey (spider-boy) no one likes him or are at the very least indifferent and leave the Spider-Boy/Spider-Girl titles open for the kids of Peter and MJ
7: Remove Miles Morales from Earth-616 and into his own universe or failling that atleast give him a unique name (I already don't like Miles but I also think its REALLY stupid to have two spider themed super heroes in one universe let alone the same city using the name Spider-man as there is only one true Spider-man and that's Peter as he is the original end of.)
I like your list but I would make two adjustments. First I want Peter to just be single and not miserable for a bit. Let him get his life together and let us wait until he forgives MJ to take her back
As for Miles he doesn't need to leave the universe just put him in a different city.
I hope we get a new writer
I am not giving up on Peter and MJ.
There are some panels in ams that are there to give me (us) hope MJ stil loves Peter.
In the latest issue when Peter was on the phone with her.
She actually said, when she realized it was a date.. oh no!
I mean why would she..
If she mentioned earlier she was ok with him moving on.
When she clearly is not.
I hope Zeb smells realizes his career after asm is over.
He burned his bridges with his fans.😢
it did seem like this issue was trying to do some form of damage control...its a start at least!
@@mnstashwell i doubt there is little chance that Wells will clean up his own mess, hè will up and leave.
Its up to his replacement to give us a somewhat better story.
If there will be a new run...

Thank you!! Ill take it good sir and run to the hills😂I’m lowkey tempted to just have every new video be titled it gets worse
BTW, "The Spectacular Spider-Men # 2 (TSSM)" was released yesterday after six weeks. Looking forward to your review, and then I'll comment with my thoughts. Cheers.
will do! got a bit of a catch up list but ill get their eventually😅
