- Welcome or welcome back to the stash! today we go over the new issue of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Peter's life is a mess, but he's trying to clean it up. He recently teamed up with JACKPOT, A.K.A. his ex-girlfriend MARY JANE WATSON, to free her Aunt Anna from the Ravencroft Institute. But that still leaves the mess with BETTY BRANT and her wrongly imprisoned husband, NED LEEDS.
Perhaps the biggest mess involves his wayward clone, BEN REILLY, A.K.A.
CHASM, who recently broke out of the Limbo Embassy where he was being imprisoned for trying to take over New York with the help of a demon army and his girlfriend, HALLOWS' EVE. Will Spider-Man learn of Ben's freedom before they turn Spider-Man's mess into a nightmare?

Zeb Wells just erased DECADES worth of accumulated Spiderman rizz, and for WHAT?!?! Not a damn thing.
I miss when Peter actually dressed nice and knew how to interact like a human being, even the movies and games can't even get that right😭
I honestly think he absolutely hates Spider-Man with all of his soul, and finagled his way into writing for TASM so he could show everyone how much he absolutely hates Spider-Man.

@@mnstash Actually could've made Ben work, as a Clone, he should've been younger than Peter, build his own identity in a different city. In my opinion, Ben's best was when he was Scarlett Spider and joined the New Warriors, shared a mutual attraction to Firestar who had a striking resemblance to Mary-Jane Watson, he would have flashbacks of MJ with Peter's memories. FYI: Angelica Jones aka Firestar was created for 1980s cartoon "Spiderman and his Amazing Friends" Spiderman, Iceman and Firestar. Firestar was based on Mary-Jane Watson, early art was done by John Romita Sr, she and Spiderman had a lot of chemistry in the cartoon, she was finally introduced to the 616 in the 1990s with "New Warriors" and "The Avengers". Marvel could've done something with Ben and Firestar, instead they made him a constant whiner that he wasn't the Real Peter Parker.
Breaking news. Sydney Sweeney is supposed to be Felicia Hardy/The Black Cat and Spider-Man's love interest in Tom Holloand's Spider-Man 4 movie. Unfortunately, Tom Holand will eventually get back with the Michelle Jones-Watson character by the end of his next trilogy, but Sydney Sweeney is a great choice to be Felicia Hardy, IMO. Can't wait for that movie. Maybe the "MCU" is finally turning a c corner. Cheers.
G'day mate, the rumours have looked SUPER promising for spider-man 4 especially with us potentially seeing daredevil and kingpin as well as like you said Sydney Sweeney black cat we could be seeing an all time classic spider-man movie!! lets hope they dont screw this up

Him and Dan slott ruined Ben, Dan slott did it in the clone conspiracy and wells did it in dark web and seems to be back at poor Ben again
It like those two had a hatred to the character for no reason or maybe the editors kinda view him as an embarrassment after the Clone Saga for NO REASON!
Seriously, the guy who write Spider-Man: The Clone Agenda were better and understand the character of Ben Reilly than what Dan Slott, Zeb Wells and Nick Lowe did of try to character assassination.
Seriously, this is Marvel editorials SHOULD'VE left Peter be retires to be with MJ and his future children while also letting both Ben Reilly and Miles Morales take up the mantle of Spider-Man together, like the Insomniac Spider-Man video games.

Like the Joker states in this video, "Oh what the heck, I'll laugh anyway.." Or this is probably another "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" moment in "ASM" History. What is going on in this comic? Or for a matter of fact, what's going on in Spidey comics period? Spidey comics would be dismal if it wasn't for "USM".
If it wasn't for the fantastic analysis of Spidey comics on this channel, I'd probably lose my sanity. How is Marvel allowing this buffoon to keep writing "ASM"? Does Zeb Wells know where the bodies are buried? Does he have videos of the editorial staff doing something illegal to keep his job? This is absolutely mind-boggling. We start one story arc with the Sinister Six, then"Whoa Nelly", and we switch to another terrible story arc where we just had these characters in a previous storyline that didn't go anywhere. Is this the state of Marvel comics?
"ASM" is awful,. "The Spectacular Spider-Men (TSSM) #2" was very disappointing this week. I have no idea what direction Greg Weisman is going to take that comic, but it looks promising that "TSSM # 3" has Peter Parker/Spider-Man dating Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales dating Kamala Kahn. If that issue is disappointing, then the TSSM comic doesn't look promising. Dan Slott's "Superior Spider-Man (SSM)" is incoherent and irrelevant to "ASM". With Dan Slott back writing Spider-Man stories, does that mean Zeb Wells has a job for life with Marvel no matter how pathetic his story arcs are? Give me a break!. I can't quote any back issues from the 1960s through the 2000s to compare with this current garbage. Most of those story arcs are masterpieces compared to this trash. It's truly a shame. I'm almost to the point of stopping following "ASM" and just following "USM. Hopefully, Jonathan Hickman won't ruin that storyline,

I believe we've got to suffer a few more issues of zeb wells but soon he should be getting really close to his last piece of shit story. the way he's taken literally EVERY ASPECT that makes Peter Peter away from him just continues to blow my mind. how the hell did he just ignore 60 plus years of Pete being a ladies man just so he can turn him into a complete wimp. I hate how modern Peter can't dress cool anymore and can't even talk to women properly or even men without acting like a scared child!
all the other spidey issues are on the list for videos I just got to gather more brain power for them because im telling ya, I think reading zeb wells comics is worse than smoking or drinking for your Health, I feel my brain cells burn with each speech bubble!

Imagined if Zeb Wells ruins another Spider-Man love interest like Liz Allan by having her in a relationship with Peter Parker that doesn't go well because of his Spidey charade by making their relationship from spectacular show be canonized that wasn't in the comics at all since their relationship is different and it barely existed at all like yeah I can imagined Zeb Wells doing something like that like he did to Norman Osborn by having him be friends with the hero he's been tormenting for years that is long gone due to Nick Spencer having Sin eater rid him of his sins to make him feel pity on what he's done to anyone else including Spidey himself yup his relationship with Peter lately is from the raimi movies that should not be integrated in comics but not it did and I don't like it like you do man
i honestly hope that the writer that takes over...eventually just does some magic bs and retcons everything. we're literally at the point of no return, everythings been tainted and ruined to where we just need to sweep it all under the magic mephisto rug

I don’t even know how people can stand to read this garbage. Shit was so bad as a die hard spider-man fan I just went to liking my other favorite superhero. Superman. I can’t stand to see how horrible spider-man has been treated lately.
I read it purely for videos, as someone whose read every single spider-man comic this series makes me borderline depressed
@@mnstash I moved on to Superman for now until spider-man comics can get their shit together. At least the Superman comics have been really good as of late.
