Sophia Redwood ikr. Putting someone inside your instrument case and locking them up just for the fun of it is dangerous cuz what if they could’ve suffocate in there and die. Yeah, not the best idea
I’m in orchestra and we literally just sit there and wait. If anything, we will practice what we’re working on- A lot of the kids in my orchestra class are just quiet people in general though. Also, it’s our first year so we are somewhat scared to experiment with anything.
I was a choir and theatre kid so we would mess with the piano in choir or hang out in the auditorium, green room (yes we actually had one), or dressing rooms. And both sides are LOUD AF
When I was a freshman and partway through sophmore year before distanced learning was applied, this is exactly what happened. It was either at the beginning, or when the director wasn't there. The trombones would literally blow the absolute hell out of their instruments, the flutes were just going mad, and the percussionists are just banging the absolute hell out of the cymbals and the snares and the triangles. Let' snot even talk about the trumpets! I was a clarinet player and we barely did that lol.
The only thing my band does is play annoying songs. And they do that when the director is there after class. Maybe I’m missing something 😂 ok ok some kids also climb the lockers
Great Locomotive Chase. that brings back good memories, from trying to learn it in two weeks for my last year in county band, to getting ready to perform it as the only oboist in my last middle school concert ever. This video made me really happy, thank you! :D (ps the sumpet and traxaphone actually work, two guys swapped instruments but not mouthpieces when we had a sub last year haha)
I'm currently playing GLC right now for our spring concert coming up. I'm a Horn player, and the only one at that, so the Horn solos are all mine baby B) granted we're playing them with sax cues but EVENTUALLY THEY'RE ALL MINE
Once in middle school band, the band directors weren't in the room so we all started playing one of our songs and the band directors came in critizing it and telling us what we needed to fix. It was pretty fun tho and Im surprised they didnt get that mad.
I swear if we accidentally broke something in our band room, we'd have to pay for it. We don't play with our band director, he's a chill dude but don't mess with him
Oh my God😲 even though I've never been in a band this was funniest and most accurate video I've ever seen. You guys except for musicians you're also super comedians🤣👏🏼
Since it's social distancing right now, my band records our concerts and hosts a zoom. We played Harry Potter, Peppa Pig, The Office, and so many more when he left for 10 minutes to get his camera from his office.
We had a meme day in our middle school band and this was one of the videos we watched, the band teacher glared at us and said 'When I leave the room you do this?' and she was annoyed at the making new instruments part she looked like she wanted to scream XD
Can we talk about how nice their instrument lockers are, like ours are tiny wire cages that have been about since my dad's uncle went to the same middle school

As a highschooler in band god I wish I had that much fun in middle school- all we really did was mess around in the morning and rehearsals and my band director sat in a trash can-. Like, 4:03 made me flinch like- please tell me that didn't destroy the drum-.
I do many things to annoy everyone while the band teacher is away. For example I play the Jurassic Park theme song to annoy the trumpet section (I play clarinet so they’re right behind me lol) or the Pink Panther theme. It’s an enjoyable thing I do on a daily basis
"No instruments were harmed in the making of this video" Oh no that bass drum was harmed, it will never be the same again I'm not crying, im just watering my eyes *starts playing taps*
As a brass instrument player me seeing them putting woodwind mouth pieces on brass instruments is gonna make me explode, same thing with the drinking valve and/or slide oil.
When my band teacher left all the Clarinets used to purposefully squeak, the percussion players would bang on their Xylophones and drums, then there was this one trumpet play who would just go *PPPFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU* damn life before Covid was great :)
My band teacher would also wait outside the door cause he knew we’d do this... 😂
😂
Lol
Right
True so very true
Same 😂 except mines laid back
"No tuba players were hurt during the making of this video" yeah, duh, the BD would've noticed a missing crackhead, it was a woodwind
Lol
As a percussionist, throwing things at the drum was horrifying to watch, lol.
you can get a new drum head so........
me and you both.
IKR IT HURTS!!!🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
As a musician it was horrifying to watch
Unless it’s in the music witch I have had before surprisingly
Inventing new instruments is literally what every band does
Yea I would put trumpet mouthpiece on trombone, baritone, tuba, and saxophone
I’ve done it once with my friend’s trombone it was the weirdest sound ever
One of my fav is to have a Alto sax player play the saxpet
when i was in band i made a “piccolo” by putting the mouthpiece and bottom part together(i played flute)
Tubone
The valve oil: Warning: Contains petroleum distillates. May be harmful if swallowed
The band kids: Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug!
it's probably water that they use
Oh thank god it’s not just my band
@Minecraft 108 they are just saying it is possibly water
We we had a trumpet player doing shots of valve oil
Take a lil sip
And it’s said that ,that guy is still in the instrument case to this very day
I sit on the locker side, I may or may not of heard a scream saying I’m out of valve oil
I wonder how his valve oil supply is
No, he was in my case. Where do I return him to?
who said it
I gave him more valve oil, I closed the case before he could react
i was gonna make a comment on how cringe this is, but then i realized how true it is

Some child during my 5th grade year got their leg stuck in his ephonium💀The poor BD having to deal with that almost gave him a heart attack-

Don’t tell them our secrets
SHHHHHHH dont tell them anything

I was expecting a tuba
It hurts me seeing that being a percussionist
Yeah no. Moving that stuff is hard enough
Or a tuba
I was waiting for the tuba
2:15 Every band kid should be triggered by the kid eating near the drums.... O>O
Gee thanks for pointing that out. That will bother me forever.
I hate when people eat near the drums even though I don’t play drums i play mallets
Yea teehee I’m a percussionist
we can’t even eat in the band hall
Eating + any instrument = NOOOOOOOOOO

Yes
One of us flutes saved him eventually
I play the trumpet and would NEVER do that it is wayyy too dangerous.

the kids in the next room:
New fear unlocked: being shoved in a tuba case and forgotten about in the band room
Is there a name for this phobia?
