    Wow this was one of the coolest pieces of violin content I've ever seen. Next level special and heartwarming. High level but unpretentious.

    I'm sooo very happy Dalia won! Her reason for wanting the new violin was a real tear jerker! Now she has her own violin and doesn't have to depend on one from her school anymore. Yay! 🎉🎉❤❤ God bless you, Ray, and Kennedy Violins!

    That was fabulous!! Ray, you have such a kind soul and you epitomize what it means to invest in others. You are world renowned and still take time out of what I am sure is an insane schedule to share your talent and love of music with others. Your facial expressions are epic. I do have to ask, where did you get that jacket? It is one of coolest jackets I’ve ever seen.

    Keep it up guys. I have always loved playing the violin but I gave it up in exchange for a career in medicine. Sometimes I still wonder what could've happened if I pursued music instead. I tried playing few years back but I couldn't keep up anymore, not like when I was younger.

    I remember when i was younger and was at that stage of learning to play the violin.
    Hell, i was probably about 7 when i was learning pieces like they played.
    Having your very own violin helps tremendously. It gives you a lot of confidence.
    I was very lucky because someone my family knew gave me one that was much like these.. a learner..and when i got older and showed i really was learning and dedicated..they traded it for auch more expensive and higher quality..
    I played from the time I was maybe 5 or 6 until I was an older teen. I played eith orchestras snd symphonies and was able to play with BYU Symphony..
    It is good to see kids still learning and showing interest in music and playing music like this .
    Parents..get your kids involved in playing music, learning it as young as possible... It does wonders for theor minds abd creativity. It allows them to utilize parts of theor brain thT helps them be more focused in life. Teaches them to overcome challenges and difficulty.. perseverance.. and so much more. So many areas that they can learn to apply later in life to many ateas of life.

    It was refreshing to see only one winner at the end. If everyone would have received a violin, there would be no reason to keep practicing.

    • @Harry-hyl
      @Harry-hyl 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m going to assume you mean that there should be rewards only for a select few/best. This is based on the idea that this fair, merit-based award for a select few promotes productive practice. While extrinsic rewards can be a part of their motivation, I don’t think it should be the only reason they play. That tends not to be sustainably enjoyable or productive for the vast majority. I am surprised you would say that this kind of external reward is the only reason to keep practicing. Indeed, if you apply this mentality fully to any facet of life, even work life, it becomes quite depressing.
      Also, I don’t see this kind of reward system as a fair or merit-based. It’s a winner-take-all scenario. There are many cases where a very competitive event has multiple levels of rewards, top prize, second place prize, all the way down. This helps make performing much fairer, rewards are based off performance, not to mention it makes it financially sustainable.

    • @Harry-hyl
      @Harry-hyl 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@binabina4445 I think there are plenty of reasons why you would want to encourage participation and keep everyone feeling like a winner, and there are also situations where you would want a tiered reward system, where the best get the best rewards. Both have their place. I don’t think a (relatively harsh) winner-take-all system would be very nice for children for example. I think that’s almost never done, common sense. Maybe you have just seen many examples where performance isn’t good and rewards are given out to everyone, and you make the assumption that the poor performance is due to the reward scheme. In these cases, there are also other important factors to consider though, I don’t think we should jump to conclusions. In many cases, giving rewards to everyone is much more encouraging and fun, and may even be part of the process for building their interest in that activity. Again, context matters.

    Late to the party, but.. Sight reading is one thing (I know at my best, I probably still won’t ever be good enough), but playing by ear… and a piece so intricate…🤯 I’m in awe.
    (The only person I know who could play with a similar level of precision was my father.)
