Hi, Lui, on Hitachi CV HSC40 carbs (82'XV750), I want to know if main jet and inbetween have any perticular sizes for front and rare cylinder, I got a Japanese kit non of them have any numbers on it except slide needles both show size Y-25 2S, my originals are Y-20 and Y-21. what should I do, should I keep the originals stock slide needles on? Thanks for great video.
Great stuff - thanks. My floats are a mess and they got stuck on the gaskets flooding the crank case. I took the carbs out today and now have to fix them. My floats were set on a weird angle with approx 15mm at one end and 25mm at the other. The bike did run like that somehow. The manual asks for 16-18mm. Not sure why these folks are installing them at a crazy angle. Seems to me that their bikes would run very lean.
You, my friend, are god send
Thanks! Hope it works out!
I thought the larger main jet is fitted in the rear cylinder carb to aid cooling?
You’re correct!
Very Good, greetings from Brazil.
Oscar Bernardino thanks for watching! That’s awesome all the way from Brazil!
How hard u must be skru tight pilot skruw when u put this back?
“Close” the pilot screw softly and “open” it 2 1/2 turns out. But to do it correctly, you have to tune it. I have a video on my channel.
Ok, thank u lui

My front cylinder side the (right) has the longer needle that the rear
When I've bent my floats to19mm, my carbs flooded. I have 1984 xv750
Make sure they’re not rubbing against anything. Also, make sure you’re needle valve is moving at least 1-2mm in the up and down movement. You might have to bend your tang in order to get that 1-2mm. (Little hook holding the needle.) the floats can be flush with the bowl seam.
Make sure you’re bending the black piece only and not the metal.
@@lui1760 OK lui ochoa, I will try that. Thank you for an immediate reply, I appreciate it a lot.🙂
