    Hey Everyone,
    In today's video, we're going to show you how to take your M3/M4 from monster truck, to race car, by adding the best suspension on the market.. Bilstein.
    From the factory, the F80 and F82 are incredible cars, but for whatever reason, the front of these cars looks like it has a lift kit. By adding the Bilstein B16 coilovers, we're not only going to correct that issue, but we're also going to tigheten up the suspension to improve handling.
    The kit we're installing is fully integrated into the car's electronic suspension system, so by utilizing this kit, you'll still be able to electronically switch between sport and comfort modes!
    Here's a link to the Bilstein B16 Coilovers: www.kiesmotors...

    I don't even have an F80, but I love watching your DIY's lol.
    When you adjust the ride height on the rears, will you have to drop the control arm all over again?
    On my F30 with B14's I was told you can't adjust ride height without dropping the control arm and I don't understand why.

    • @Kid_Ellipsis
      @Kid_Ellipsis 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anshu S you’ll find that with adjustable spring collars the BMW rear spring upper cup just spins against the chassis when you try to turn the threaded collar. This is why it may be necessary to drop the lower control arm again to make that adjustment. Some people have found that a thin C-clamp on the upper cup gives you enough leverage to prevent it from spinning.

    Is there a reason for the spring compressor and removing the whole top hat? Some DIY have you remove the center nut and just drop the strut down that way

    Quick question, doing mine next weekend. Can you do the fronts without removing the strut tops aswell? Just brace the hub and undo from the top? Also can you not reuse the front nut for the strut tops, its mentioned this is replaced? I dont have replacement 22mm nuts. Thanks

    Could you do some review on those suspension? in term of ride quality, compare with stock and let's say, the famous kw v3. I heard this one is more like a huge improvement based on the stock feel, other than chancing the characteristic to feel "like a different car" . That sounds like a good fit for an occasionally tracked daily car. Will you recommend Ohlins DFV over this ?

    Nice video, just wondering, did you replace any of the nuts and bolts when doing the suspension indexing? BMW parts said not all bolts have to be replaced, but a bunch of the suspension nuts do. Online it says either to replace every nut and bolt that’s loosened or no need to replace, so confused on which approach to take. Thanks!
