Hey, just got these for my M2 OG. Had them installed at a good shop but the rears are clunking. Do you know if the rear top spring perch is supposed to be removed when installing the rear springs? I think the issue is that the tech didn't remove them. Thanks.
Damn. I just ordered some coilovers from a local shop here in SoCal called Shaftworks. If only you posted the video on this sooner so I might’ve considered these lol.
that car is beautiful. whats the exact name/model m4 is this please? comp? How much roughly would one of these be? im based in the uk so in pound denomination. Thank you
If you’re looking to slam the car, this is definitely not the kit to buy. The height adjustment range is very functional. They drive great so far on the street but the real test will be on track, i’ll have a separate driving impressions video coming at a later date
I am doing the same install on my M2C. Can I ask how you managed to tighten the strut nut on the top hat? The opening is too small for a shock socket...
Did you fully observe the studio tech making the effort to ensure all bolts are torqued to value and the appropriate nuts/bolts torqued down with load on the suspension? Height looks great as usual. Thanks!
thanks! Yes, I did. He followed the torque specs provided in the user manual from Bilstein. I glossed over some stuff for the sake of keeping the video length to a reasonable time but it was a thorough install
Did you consider anything like the Sachs/ZF or Ohlins *inverted* style coilovers? That is, if they even make them for your car? I have heard great things when used on an E90 M3.
@@SimplyCarThings Ok, the only Ohlins I've seen were in the 3-4K range (that YT channel "Driving Cody" dude has them on his E9X M3 and he raves about them), but like I said, those are for older model cars so I'm sure the technology is quite improved since those first came on the market. Do they only have like the lone $10K option for your car? No lower or mid-grades? Seems crazy they wouldn't have anything other than a $10k option. I mean you could buy a whole ass N52, N54, or N55 car already half modded for that price lol. Anyways, how about the inverted ZF/Sachs? Have you seen those before? Was thinking about getting those for my E90 but I don't think they make them for xdrive cars, from what I could tell. Thanks for all your videos. Been subbed here awhile and I generally agree with almost every take you have and I been jelly of all your cars.
@@saganworshipper6062 haha thanks man, appreciate the support! Like I stated earlier with Ohlins according to my knowledge there are two kits. The R&T which is around $3k ish and then the TTX, which is what the M4 GT4 runs but those are very expensive. The bilstein kit is superior to the R&T IMO. i didn't look into sachs/zf but I'm sure they have something out there for the F8X. Im sure its a different ball game for the E9X
Just threw a set of these on my Toyota Prius. Been tracking it a ton, these are the real deal!
I turn 18 in March, I’ve been working my ass off, I hope to buy this car in the next few years, f8x definitely are my dream cars, yours is beautiful
thanks! Keep at it, the hard work will pay off
Looking forward to the review and the daily driver vs track comparison
likewise, i'll keep you guys updated!
Wow , nice kit. Thanks for listing the rates.
no prob!

How is this better than the adaptive suspension from the competition package?
How does it ride/drive? Any coilover will get you that look, the only thing many people want to know is about the drive

straight fire!! I have the B16’s on my M2, not as nice as the clubsports but i freakin love them
awesome!! Yea the B16 kit is great as well from everything i’ve heard 👌🏼

You need to start getting some Bolt-Ons soon my guy.😬🔥🔥
Suspension is heat. I was gonna go with KW but you made a compelling argument.🏆
appreciate it! more coming soon with the car 🤙🏼
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻, So awesome, great video. Another option could have been the KW coilovers...
So perfect, this is my dream car 😍 for now I am loving my alpine white e46 330ci zhp. Like a mini, slow, non-M version of your car 😂
hahaha, the zhp is a sweet car. they're going up in value too
washers are the way to go
Looks great 👍🏿.
thanks brotha!

i looked into Ohlins, but the TTX dampers are like $10k+ and the other option was R&T which isn’t nearly as good as the bilsteins in my honest opinion

Sweet.
great video brotha im sure youll get your use out of these!
Indeed, im planning on it. Thank you!
So what I’m hearing is you were so unhappy with the KW’s that you spent nearly $5k on a set of new dampers? What was so wrong with the KW’s?
I’ll touch on this more in my upcoming review, but i wrote the short gist of why i switched over in the description box
Can I have the name and the specs of the wheels
Are you gonna sell your Kws? I’m in riverside bro let me know
Yes, they'll be up for sale soon. Im letting them go for cheap, shoot me a dm on Instagram @simplycarthings_
Why not the Ohlins?
The Ohlins TTX dampers used by the M4 GT4 cost well over $10k which was just way beyond my budget
