    What's the status on those end links? I'm going to put the kw v1 on my f32 xdrive with a set of the vorshlag camber plates, wondering which end links I'm gonna be needing

    FYI, KW is very finnicky about warranties on the V series coilovers if the damage is a result from tracking the car. Another great install video!

    I have a 13’ 740i. Would it be possible to have an air suspension delete and have coil overs or regular springs installed??? 🤔 Each air strut is around $1300….

    I am having coil bind on my xdrive 440i with KW DDC coilovers right now... very bad, after adding millway street camber plates. Any thoughts?

      I can only suggest adjusting the spring height. It might be "out of spec" from what KW recommends but that recommendation is based on the OEM top hat. Aftermarket top hats might sit further in the strut tower. At least that's what KW told me.
      Start at the max recommend height then go up by 2-3 spins at a time. That's how I did it when I got the swift springs. The video below might be more helpful.

    Can you drive kW v1 on max high height? Or that will be bad for coilovers? 🚗

    • @FritzRamos
      @FritzRamos  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No issues so far and it is within the specs from KW.

      With the addition of camber plates and the reduced stress of not having to compress the OEM spring I would say it's worth it. Plus the improved handling!

    Hey Fritz can you tell me why i can no longer use the OEM existing endlinks anymore?
    I want to do this DIY but in my country i dont have Access to the endlinks which you used in your video. I can only source OEM parts or Aftermarket ones which are not adjustable like your endlinks.
    Any tips?

    I prefer to buy new top hats to preassemble the whole strut. It gave me huge peace of mind to have a fully fresh coilover from top to bottom

    • @FritzRamos
      @FritzRamos  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good point. I would just recommend camber plates if the person is trying to fit wider wheels in the front, since the 2 series has so little space.

    Hello Fritz, thank you for this amazing video. The way how the front absorber removal is so creative and impressive. I would like to ask for the connection of rear absorber and camber arm. On TIS, this connection was recommended to be tighten down with 100NM and jointing torque of rotation 90 degree, (the car in normal position). What this procedure means?
    Thank you~~

    Why did you switch out the DDC for the V1? I own a 2016 228i and really want to put on the DDC for my car to get the lower ride height, better handling and keep the EDC.. would you recommend it?

    • @andrxito
      @andrxito ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I own the DDC on my 140i. I really enjoy it. Lowering the car enough to never scrape and is still really comfortable. Not softer than OEM on comfort mode, but it does the job really well.
      On the other hand the car feels like it is on rails in Sport mode. way better at cornering.
      Extra points: the KW DDC weighs less than the adaptive by almost a kilo on each corner

    • @jamesksjsu
      @jamesksjsu ปีที่แล้ว

      Now I really want it even more! So you would say overall it is an improvement from oem? No troubles switching from diff modes? I think that’s a really cool feature and don’t want to lose it..

    • @FritzRamos
      @FritzRamos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I still have the DDC on the m235i these V1s for the 228i since it does not have EDC. I am very happy with the DDC and would recommend it for your car. If you have a front lip I would get a 225/40 or 235/40 tire if you're on 18's and don't want to scrape. These are the ones that I currently run. bit.ly/30PQbOf

      @@jamesksjsu recommend it 100%. I run 18x8 et40 on 225/40 and it is good. I installed a strut brace at the same time and it further improved the steering feel.

    • @FritzRamos
      @FritzRamos  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bilstein is a good company. You're really splitting hairs between them and KW's performance. I went with KW because at the time they seemed to have better customer service which might come in handy if I need to go through the warranty process.

    Hi Fritz, I’ve installed b14’s on my m240i. My driver’s side (rhs here in Australia) is sitting 14 mm lower than the passenger side with the same height on threads. Rear is perfect. I can’t figure why. Why do you think that might be? Thanks

    • @TK-gd9td
      @TK-gd9td ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you get new adjustable roll bar links and control arms and tie rod ends? cause those need to change size to properly fit with the new lower suspension geometry. Otherwise you’ll have uneven suspension and maybe even some bump steer or drifting to one side

    • @baronmunchausen645
