Moved to DJI after so many issues with GoPro, now use the Action 3 and 4 when out riding, never had any issues at all, brilliant kit. DJI mics are great too…
This video needed to happen for a while, GoPro has decided to follow Blockbuster Video business model, into self obscurity. They had the ENTIRE global action cam market at one point... My Hero Black 7, first generation GoPro with Hyper-smooth, still works flawlessly.
I still use my 7 Black for motovlogging. However, it and the stupid audio adapter making it bigger than the 10/11/12 with the media mods. Of course the issues with random freezing persists after all these years and updates. I plan to move to the Action series now.
Hi Andy, thanks for all your professional and interesting videos and vlogs. I am using the latest GoPro 12 and it came with nearly all the features you said are missing. Voice control, up to 5.2 k, 60 fps, steady horizon, Bluetooth connection, time sync etc. All in. I use to connect it to my Sena Mesh via Sena's Mesh Port Red. I don't need any additional mic and not wires to record the whole Mesh conversation, me and my buddies. Works perfectly fine and didn't let me down one single time. Maybe GoPro did some improvements with model 12. Thanks again and a great 2024 season to all of us.
Great advice. I felt I was missing out on something somehow when I purchased my first Osmo camera instead of a GoPro, but I've since felt vindicated hearing from many vloggers like your good self. Love the channel mate, keep up the good work and have a great summer!
I'm in the process of changing now....COMPLETELY AGREE with EVERYTHING you said....I just recieved my OSMO Pocket 3 and today the OSMO Action 4 and Mics come....just the time saved from changing a battery or taking off the mount is 50% of the difference...thanks for sharing!!!!
Good to see GoPro have some competition and thank you for putting it out there, I’ve had problems with GoPro and heard of so many people mainly vlogers that have had problems and lost footage
Totally agree. I bought my Osmo Action 4 in September last year and haven't regretted it for a day. The addition of the wireless mic was a great relatively recent upgrade.
Agree Andy , the GP does suffer from freezing and gets too hot. The media mod was a poor advance and the DJI magnetic mount just seals the deal. As usual a good informed video!
Thanks Andy. I jumped recently too and loving the action 4. I also bought the wireless remote control, strapped to the handlebars which makes it even easier to record as you ride. You also get GPS data and overlays on the videos with the remote. Cracking piece of kit 👍
I’ve never had a GoPro but after much deliberation bought an Osmo Action 4 for a big bike trip coming up. I also bought the Bluetooth mic which is superb. So neat. My footage so far is good even at 1080/25fps. I’m very happy so far.
Hi Andy, Totally agree. I bought the Osmo a few months ago and I really like it. It just works. The horizon balance is a bit slow though but maybe you know if I’m doing something wrong. I put mine at the top of my flip-up helmet so I don’t see the windshield too much in the video. I use an external battery because I film the whole tour nonstop and then battery life is still to short. I film in 30 fps so more footage will fit on the usb card while still having excellent video quality.
Great review! I also stopped using GoPro but I switched to Insta360 One RS, works fantastic and much cheaper than GoPro. Maybe I test the Osmo Action 4 later but for now i´m quite happy with Insta360.
I 100% agree Andy. Thankfully, I never fell into the GoPro trap, mainly because at the time, I couldn’t afford one. I used to have a SJcam SJ6 Legend, which was a really good budget camera, but it started to lose quality, so I took the plunge and bought a DJI OA3. I was instantly blown away by the video quality. I record in 2k 30fps, usually leaving the camera on to constantly record my A to B scenic rides, with the front screen always on so I can occasionally monitor it in the mirror. I am still getting around 50-55 minutes out of a battery. Staggering ! The OA3 can’t connect to a wireless mic, without a receiver, so I do use a DJI mic adapter and lav mic in the helmet, but will hopefully buy an OA4 and Mic 2 at some point, just for the ease of use.
Totally agree, like you I followed Daves advice and went down the Dji route. As a new vlogger and an older guy I was so underwhelmed by Gopro I was ready to give up. A Dji 4 camera and Dji Mic 2 has changed everything, now I really enjoy the process.👍
Agree with you 100% on all your points! I also ditched GoPro last year after constant reliability issues in favour of DJI Osmo Action. Couldn't be happier.
I can't believe I enjoy listening to your voice so much that I've watched a video about bloody cameras when all I normally come for is bikes. I will say this though..... TH-cam suppress quality so much, I think you could record in VHS and we wouldn't know.
I swapped from a GoPro Hero 9 to the Osmo Action 4 not long before you got yours Andy and I agree on all your comments. Amazing cameras. Your videos look and sound much better with the Action 4, they just look more natural with a great field of view.
Also a previous Gopro hero fan boy for many years but since the drones, then the DJI microphone and now the Osmo 4 I’m converted! Very user friendly and as you mention very good for moto reviews 👍😎
Hi Andy, really pleased you have found a more reliable camera to make life easier, the only thing you didn't tell us was the cost difference between the two cameras. Even though you can't put a price on lost footage, I know. Thank you.
I totally understand on the Scotland tour I did last year my GoPro hero 8 completely froze a number of times and sometimes it just shut off. It was very frustrating. Luckily I had my Insta360 one x2 spare GoPro but I have been in the market looking for new cameras such as this one the DJI Osmo action 4, this was a great video for highlighting the benefits of this camera. I’m pretty sure now I have made up my mind and what cameras to get next. excellent video. TMF look forward to seeing you out on that GS again as I have just brought the 2014 model and I cannot wait to go touring.
Can't agree more, I'm not a prolific blogger like yourself but I've found the same with the GoPro camera's. I bought a cheap Wolfang camera about 6 months ago, picture quality is as good as my GoPro 4G, battery life not as good but it came with 4 batteries and they are easy to change. But the best feature is the remote control I've got it mounted to my mirror strut and I can reach it with my thumb. One button stills and one for video. Easy to use and a fraction of the price of a GoPro
I never switched from the 7 black on gopro. In 5 years with many of them as now I have 5 of them, I have only had one film freeze on me. But I like that you state the 4 ozmo, as I will buy one when 5 comes out!
Thank you, I used a ghost drift purely for it's battery life but it is a limited camera with a few good features but not great so I am going to go for one of these after research and watching your video about it 👍
Great video Andy. Only issue with the Action4 is the Field of View (FOV) is wide making scenery and objects distant, not what your eyes see. Other than that, it’s a great camera for all the reasons you mentioned
Last decent go-pro was the 7. I’ve still got a 5 which is flawless in operation. Bought an action 4 a year or so ago. Never had a problem with it yet. Those plus the DJI mics are so easy to use. Oh and I’d recommend a remote control coz you can see exactly what’s happening.
Reason 11 - Customer Service / support (or lack of it) 🤣 - Brilliant timing. Lost footage due to Media Mod, took five days for them to reply to confirm it was broken. Sent it back and the replacement is older and in worse condition than the original. And now I'm contacting every day again without a response. Will have a look at the DJI, thanks TMF for the review
I started making moto videos quite a few years ago with a cheap AEE 1080P camera as I was unsure I wanted to make videos. Now using a Drift Ghost XL, getting some good results and realise the secret is slick editing which takes time and motivation to achieve. Hope I get there sometime soon.
Jolly good view on why this is better (for most at least)! 👍 Back to back with this I watched an adventure rider's/vlogger's view on DJI's gear and how she set it up and use it, and it does have so much speaking for it that it would be ridiculous to not try it.
Interesting, personally i do not use my Go-Pro as much as you do and have not had any issues. Good to know we now have options with this Osmo Action 4 and Insta 360's Ace pro.
I'm still undecided which I prefer... I don't like the reduced ambient sound of the Osmo with less engine sound.. But prefer everything else with the Osmo. I've had minimal issue with my GoPro's 'touch wood' It's also better in the rain, my recent Scotland trip rained all day and it worked all day
Couldn`t agree more on your comments of GoPro. The GoPro`s I use ( GP8 and GP11 Mini ) have been problematic, followed all the GoPro forums without success, even their support is very poor, it was a crusade to get hold of anyone at GoPro to assist. When I eventually got through, they agreed to replace my GP11 Mini under warranty and the replacement camera received less than 3 months ago is showing the same fault, red and blue squares all over the picture on playback, not sure if it was new or a refurbished replacement. I gave up on batteries because I wanted continuous operation and use powerbanks which cover for the duration of the rides or stage of recording, it works out OK, pity about the reliability of the cameras. After watching your Vlog, the DJI Osmo Action 4 looks like a formidable alternative to GP and worth investigating further.
Thanks for posting. I have just ordered a DJI camera after long and complex research into the Action Camera scene. I hope I'm as good as the camera now! 🤪
Andy Dave got me into the action 3 and wireless mic that brilliant I heard the action 4 is even better must save up for the upgrade keep up the great vids 👍
Ditched my GoPro a couple years back, I was going to go with the Insta360 Ace Pro out of choice but they offered to send me one, best camera I've used hands down. I don't really have any reason to go for the Osmo Action 4 but it looks like a brilliant alternative to GoPro.
Very interesting thanks Andy. Any reason why you didn't go for the Insta360? The other motorcycle bloggers I watch (Itchy boots, Fortnine, Motobob) seem to be fans of it.
Andy is making me feel bad, his bikes are immaculate. Ignoring what I said the other day, I will pull my finger out and clean the bike. Spent hours at the weekend getting her back to pristine and feeling well chuffed when I stood back to admire all my efforts. Beautiful weather this morning, so got me gear on and went for a ride. Less than a mile from leaving my house, I had to ride through a large puddle of water that was running off a field. Bike...filthy again. AAAaarrggghhh. I can`t look at it anymore today, just had to close the door and put the kettle on.
In my cycling days a few years ago, it was Garmin that had a monopoly on the market. Their cycling sat navs were total pants, but there was no alternative. Then a few disruptors like Wahoo came to the market and we were able to vote with our feet.
The dji is definitely better than GoPro for sure. Interfacing in the aircraft is so much easier. The only thing is that dji just needs to improve their multi use action in the software so that when you go to sync multiple cameras needs improvement
I told you to buy an DJI Osmo years ago! Saying that, my Osmo Action 2, which arrived 20/08/2020, has just died a death! It's refusing to turn on, but up to now it's been impeccable? Back then it cost £239.99 with the accessory kit, time for an upgrade, me thinks. The new Osmo 4 looks very nice, plus it now has a host of extra feature compared to my old Osmo 2, so it's looking favourite. Also, I have a few expensive accessories for the Osmo Action 2, such as, extra batteries, and SmallRig CVD2475 Metal Cage, so I'm hoping I can still use some of it, but I'm not sure. I'm also considering Insta360 Ace Pro, but I've already got an Insta360 X3. I was looking at the Insta360 GO 3 because of its light weight, so great for mounting on a helmet. But, the battery life is limited, and it's non-replaceable, so is the functionality and the resolution.
l bought into DJI with the first Osmo Action. It hasn’t got the features of the latest cameras but it does use a smaller adapter to use a lavalier microphone, also a adapter ring to fit filters, like NDs on the lens. l fond the picture quality of the GoPros of the time slightly better however it was only a matter of time when DJI overtook GoPro.. DJI make some fantastic drones as well…
I looked online and I don't see that the DJI Osmo Action 4 can connect to Cardo/Sena Bluetooth units for audio. Due to that, I think I'd still opt for the Insta360 Ace. The ability to connect to your BT comms unit for audio is a huge perk, IMO. Less additional hardware = less potential failure points.
Have to agree Andy, i have a GoPro 11 and the battery lasts about 40mins then it is dead, and as you said it turns itself off when it gets hot all the time, they need to get this sorted, i spent £350 and its crap.
Interesting... In the past I have had issues with GoPros, not one issue with the Hero 12 and I have made a lot of videos with it including dropping it on a dual carriageway at 50mph and it still works just fine! One thing to avoid is using the Gopro Quick as it corrupts longer files, and if you dont' check before deleting the camera files... The GoPro has supported voice commands for many years though I no longer us them, what I do now is to use a remote on the handlebar which works a treat for starting and stopping filming. Looking at videos filmed with the DJI V the GP there is little to decide, I film at 5.3k 60 on the 12 which allows some nice cropping if needed. I have other DJI kit such as the Osmo Pocket 3 and Mavic 3 pro drone, both very good pieces of kit. Now what I do like with the Action 4 is the magnetic mount, but can I justify the investment just for that? I am tempted to get one to compare. Cheers...
@@TheMissendenFlyer indeed, GoPro battery access is a pain, so tend to boost the battery with a power pack during my lunchtime stop before PM filming. Yes need to test one of these out.
I've never had the freezing, or lost footage issues as you and others have mentioned. Granted, I do not use my GoPro10 as frequently, but when I do I always reformat cards etc. I do like the Osmo, but it's the mic adapter that looks wrong, just sticking out the side. It'd be interested in seeing your audio setup, how it looks on the lid. As with all tech, something better will just be around the corner. 😁
I bought one they are fab! Just for info there is no built in gps data, you have to use the bluetooth gps remote for that which i have and works flawlessly!! Never going back to GoPro…
Thanks for the review. I've also lost so much footage with my GoPro, it's put me off trying to record anything. Mine is now being confined to the bin.....
as a photogher i got the Osmo Action 3 i not afford the 4. it just as good. i got the new wireless mic. i love it. enjoyed makeing my new veidos on it. just finshed editing my first rid it it. over 4 days it did amzing u said get hole days of riding out a battery. u go in settings u push record botton it turn off and recored right away prefect. make vloging lot more fun. i got 500gb card for mine. i shoot at 4k at 60fps. at RS. have setting set up i have 3 one for riding and one for off the bike. put go pro in the past. and i got mine for £209 bargein not want the lateist i got wireless mic for £160. i got lens fliters £50
Hiya, agree with everything you say,I have the gp11 and the action 4 ,one big thing tho ! I'm afraid the image quality on the gopro is far better. Ive used log and normal on both and experimented quite a lot,but if you can see past that then the action4 is way better.hope this doesn't upset anyone.
Wow mate! I've just started researching action cameras etc, and got completely bamboozled with a minefield of information. I thought to myself … I wonder if I message the mighty TMF he would give me a recommendation?….one more scroll down the video list and there you are! I’m sorted now…the Osmo Action 4 it is……..t’was a brilliant video! Thanks a lot Andy. 👍👍 P.S….watch out I'm coming back! 😂😂😂
Delighted to hear that mate, the Osmo action four is the best action camera I’ve tried to date, and I’ve tried them all! Will be fabulous to have you back on the tubes, I look forward to watchingyour Vids soon.
I understand the frustration of freezes and fails, but... N1 what a drama, you could change the setup to be more easy to remove the camera. N2 your right N3 on the GoPro just press the record button, you don't need to power up the camera and press record. N4 GoPro also have voice control... N5 you're right, but insta 360 it's better. N6 also on GoPro N7 you can use that mic on 12 N8 I don't argue N9 unfair, if you use a wireless mic like you did on dji you don't need the media mod. 10...
My enthusiasm for go pros dissolved when go pro decided to do a "magic" update for the go pro karma drones after which the drone was unusable and basically wasn't responding to the controller anymore. I wasn't the only one, many other go pro karma users had to ditch their drones as they were useless. Go pro didn't resolve this issue till this day. Since then Im not buying any go pro products again and also DJI or Insta is a better choice anyway.
Ive had the Action 3 for a few years and its been flawless. I think GoPro never really had any competition in the past but now the likes of the OSMO Action and Insta360s are available people dont have to suffer with the GoPro reliability problems anymore GoPro need to really sort the problems out ive seen many many you tubers turning away from them
well with a spanish trip coming up in 3 weeks i am here looking do I buy another gopro to add or do I ebay the lot and get the osmo action…You have swayed me without much force😂 thanks TMF
I use a GPS remote+OA4+mic combo and the problem is, when the camera goes to sleep, the mic2 disconnects and if I start filming using the snapshot function the mic2 takes anywhere between instant to maybe 10 seconds to reconnect and obviously in that period I get no sound from it. Not a deal breaker but they could set it up like the remote so it doesn't disconnect until the camera shuts down after 30 minutes which is also something they should allow to be set by the user, as in allow the camera to never shut down completely. About the remote, it's pretty cool and it fits nicely on the mirror arm of my bike but they should allow the GPS to be turned off to conserve battery life. If they would fix these 3 things, it would be perfect.
another good reason is their replacement cost is a lot better than gopro if you buy a service plan, to replace a hero 10/11/12 is £100! only costs £19 with DJI. and the plan is cheaper. £22 per year compared to £50(albeit you dont get cloud storage with DJI afaik)
Gopro let me down lately as well, it would turn it self on for no reason and it would get so hot you could use it a s a hand warmer. Got Osmo 4 standard last week, love it so far
I have a Action 4 but I hardly ever use it! My main issue with the Action 4 is the wireless connection to the DJI Mic 2 that I also have. The wireless mic can record audio independently to the camera and I do want that 2nd audio track which is recorded at a higher quality than with the wireless connection to the camera (in 32-bit float, for those who know!). The issue is if you start recording on the Mic and then switch your camera on, it stops the internal recording on the Mic when the two devices connect! That's no good to me. Also the DJI add-on adapter that allows you to connected a wired mic instead is nowhere near as robust as the media mod which surrounds a GoPro camera and is not fit for purpose on an action camera IMO. I (almost) always have my cameras connected to a power bank and have done for years, so I have very few power issues and never have to swap batteries when on a ride. Finally one small correction Andy, the Action 4 does not have GPS (neither does the GP 12, but the earlier models do like the GP11 > GP6). Don't get me wrong I've had loads of issues with GoPros over the years, but for me it's still a better solution as a helmet cam!
Similar situation, I have a bundle tied up in GoPro, Hero7 black, Hero5 black, Hero3+, mounts, batteries, spare batteries, battery chargers, etc.... I would love to chuck it all and go another route. the hero 7 overheats often and you don't even know it's shut off. The audio adapters you have to use, sometimes they don't work. hour of filming and now there's no audio. It's so frustrating that I gave up. thank you for posting this, gives me hope there is a product that actually works more often than not.
Moved to DJI after so many issues with GoPro, now use the Action 3 and 4 when out riding, never had any issues at all, brilliant kit. DJI mics are great too…
This video needed to happen for a while, GoPro has decided to follow Blockbuster Video business model, into self obscurity.

I dont have any use for one of these cameras but you’ve now made me want one 🤷♂️😂
You could use it to start an only fans 🤷
I feel that way about underwear

Short and sweet with good points mentioned. Definitely makes the choice easier for getting a camera to record my rides.
Thanks Andy, great review
Hi Andy, I just purchased the DJI Osmo Action 4 and I Love it for all the reasons that you gave. Such an amazing camera for the money.
I agree!
Good to see GoPro have some competition and thank you for putting it out there, I’ve had problems with GoPro and heard of so many people mainly vlogers that have had problems and lost footage
Oh so much lost footage, it is exactly why I'm here lol
Totally agree. I bought my Osmo Action 4 in September last year and haven't regretted it for a day. The addition of the wireless mic was a great relatively recent upgrade.

Yes I have one too althpugh haven't yet managed to synch up two cameras with it (although you can)...
I couldn't agree more. I've stopped using GoPro too. Ghost Drift XL Pro. The longest battery life.
Yes GoPro really need to up there game now others are over taking them on features and reliability
I’ve never had a GoPro but after much deliberation bought an Osmo Action 4 for a big bike trip coming up. I also bought the Bluetooth mic which is superb. So neat. My footage so far is good even at 1080/25fps. I’m very happy so far.

I bought an Osmo action 4 to take on my trip to the Picos, here now, and gave to say I'm really impressed with it
Great review! I also stopped using GoPro but I switched to Insta360 One RS, works fantastic and much cheaper than GoPro. Maybe I test the Osmo Action 4 later but for now i´m quite happy with Insta360.
As a drone services company, we have been using DJI kit since 2024 and it rarely and if ever lets us down. Great kit…😊
2014 I meant 😂
Waiting for mine to arrive tomorrow…and the bike in two more weeks 🥲
Happy days!
I 100% agree Andy. Thankfully, I never fell into the GoPro trap, mainly because at the time, I couldn’t afford one. Should have mentioned that - GoPro is around £50 more expensive I think...
Cheers, I’ve been putting off upgrading from my Hero 7 Black for years as I wasn’t convinced by the newer models - the Osmo could be the answer.
YES!!! Thank you! I'm on it! What really sold me was the WIRELESS MIC feature! I'm going to look into it!
Glad I could help!
Excellent advice, I might have to make the switch as well.
You should!

Well done for rebelling Andy! Go-pro have “took the mick” for way too long! action 4 is amazing!

الو السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Thankyou Mr flyer. I have an old drift ghost which I like but they haven’t updated them so I’ll have a look at one of these.
AFAIC these are now the market leader for motovloggers....
Interesting, personally i do not use my Go-Pro as much as you do and have not had any issues. Good to know we now have options with this Osmo Action 4 and Insta 360's Ace pro.
Fantastic insight mate!!! Stepping up a bit from a GoPro Hero3+ lol
Yes cameras have moved on somewhat…
spot on i have osmo action 3 and also the new Osmo Pocket 3 great to use and reliable
Agreed....
Great video, and well structured points! Lots of vloggers are switching over, if they haven't already.
And so they should!
I'm still undecided which I prefer... I don't like the reduced ambient sound of the Osmo with less engine sound.. But prefer everything else with the Osmo.
I've had minimal issue with my GoPro's 'touch wood'
It's also better in the rain, my recent Scotland trip rained all day and it worked all day
For me just the ease of use wins it - but agreed the sound is very selective....
Minor detail. Love the content. Thank you
Thanks for posting. I have just ordered a DJI camera after long and complex research into the Action Camera scene. I hope I'm as good as the camera now! 🤪
Glad it was helpful!
Andy Dave got me into the action 3 and wireless mic that brilliant I heard the action 4 is even better must save up for the upgrade keep up the great vids 👍
Cheers will do!
Couldn’t agree more I’ve done exactly this including using the Dji mic 2. Cheers Jake 👍
That mic is brilliant isn't it....
@@TheMissendenFlyer yes a total game changer I think…
Ditched my GoPro a couple years back, I was going to go with the Insta360 Ace Pro out of choice but they offered to send me one, best camera I've used hands down. I don't really have any reason to go for the Osmo Action 4 but it looks like a brilliant alternative to GoPro.
Couldn't agree with you more the action 4 is cool for motovlogging and combined with the mic just super super good
I'm sold. Thank you.
Any time!
Very interesting thanks Andy. Any reason why you didn't go for the Insta360? The other motorcycle bloggers I watch (Itchy boots, Fortnine, Motobob) seem to be fans of it.
I have an Insta360 too but it is for a different job than helmet cam mounted footage....the image quality can't compete.
That's pretty compelling Andy ! 👍🏻
It is for me....
Love them, I'm amature comparing to you I have the action 3 my go pro is looking at the bin, and it doesn't get silly hot👍👍
Great info. Any chance of doing a video about how you set the camera and mics up etc ? Cheers Andy
I share your pain......
totally with you. I have the Osmo and the Insta360 Ace Pro. Both great. But i think the Osmo’ are better too
Very useful, thank you. 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
In my cycling days a few years ago, it was Garmin that had a monopoly on the market. Their cycling sat navs were total pants, but there was no alternative. Then a few disruptors like Wahoo came to the market and we were able to vote with our feet.
Great review! I’m sold on Osmo👍
You and me both!
Can't argue with the quality.
They are excellent cameras indeed when I get some spare cash I would love to invest in one next 👍👍👍
Just ordered my Osmo Action 4 based on this video!
You won’t regret it - really good bit of kit
The dji is definitely better than GoPro for sure. Interfacing in the aircraft is so much easier. The only thing is that dji just needs to improve their multi use action in the software so that when you go to sync multiple cameras needs improvement
I use the Insta360X 3 exclusive now. I do use a Drift Ghost 4k as backup.
I think we switched before you for many of the same reasons.
We run 2 - Action 3s and 1 Action 4.
They've not let us down
Good aren't they....
I agree, use few gopro… until I use the Dji Osmo action 3, never look back.
Great advice,thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
l bought into DJI with the first Osmo Action. DJI make some fantastic drones as well…
Yes I have one!
Cheers...
You should - in my view it’s worth it for the mount alone.
@@TheMissendenFlyer indeed, GoPro battery access is a pain, so tend to boost the battery with a power pack during my lunchtime stop before PM filming. Yes need to test one of these out.
If you press the record button it immediately starts up and starts recording. When you connect it to the computer you can also use it as a webcam.
Thanks for the info!
@@TheMissendenFlyer i should mention that the Dji osmo bluetooth gps remote gps is 10hz, so pretty speedy!! Cheers.
P.S….watch out I'm coming back! 😂😂😂
Delighted to hear that mate, the Osmo action four is the best action camera I’ve tried to date, and I’ve tried them all! Will be fabulous to have you back on the tubes, I look forward to watchingyour Vids soon.
You’re very kind, thank you.
Sorry to bother you again TMF, any particular 3.5 mic or should i pick any one?…your sound quality is so clear?
I use the Rode one - took me ages to find one that worked well with the OA4....
Thanks mate, I'm going to try the dji one, the whole bundle arrives later today, so here we go 😂
Excellent as always, can it be used whilst charging?
Yes, absolutely....
I understand the frustration of freezes and fails, but...
N1 what a drama, you could change the setup to be more easy to remove the camera.
N2 your right
N3 on the GoPro just press the record button, you don't need to power up the camera and press record.
N4 GoPro also have voice control...
N5 you're right, but insta 360 it's better.
N6 also on GoPro
N7 you can use that mic on 12
N8 I don't argue
N9 unfair, if you use a wireless mic like you did on dji you don't need the media mod.
Thanks for the insight on cameras. I am going shopping for one of these. I did know I did not want another Go Pro. Mind the cage.
Wish I'd seen this before investing in a whole setup for a new GoPro Hero 12. Here's hoping the 12 is okay!
Good luck!
Gopro let me down lately as well, it would turn it self on for no reason and it would get so hot you could use it a s a hand warmer. Got Osmo 4 standard last week, love it so far
I did the exact same as you a while back, best thing I did
Good aren't they....
@@TheMissendenFlyer You outlined 'everything' perfectly, I love it. Just need to figure out a way to get the Mic 2 in the helmet!!!
Take care
Fair enough!
Thank you very helpful
My pleasure!
Was going to buy the Insta360 Ace Pro but WheelieGoodTV's video convinced me otherwise.
Got the OA4 and haven't looked back
Similar situation, I have a bundle tied up in GoPro, Hero7 black, Hero5 black, Hero3+, mounts, batteries, spare batteries, battery chargers, etc....
Swap - you will not regret it I assure you.....
