As all the months of care finally come to an end, our orphans are ready to leave home and head for pre creche to learn valuable flying and socialising skills.
Flying, climbing, negotiating branches, meeting new friends and avoiding larger flying-foxes is all part of the pre release experience.
Lovingly hand raised by Cath, Island Boy is one of hundreds of local flying-foxes eager to begin the next stage of their rehabilitation back to the wild.
