Just a suggestion: try holding the yarn in your left hand. Your right hand is now entirely engaged in the stitching. For thick yarns weave the yarn over the index finger then under the middle finger only. Right hand needle becomes the “rocker”. Slightly awkward at first but your speed will increase drastically.
I learned how to crochet from you, how to knit Norwegian from Arne and Carlos. I tried continental style, I figured it would be easy because I crochet with my finger sticking up creating tension on the yarn……for me, I just couldn’t make it go. I tried Norwegian style, and it was so much better. My speed is remarkably faster, now I can carry 2 colors, one in each hand. You should try it.
This is so useful I am not a big knitter but I find circular needles fun to work with and definitely get what you mean as going too small in length makes it more difficult Thanks for this helpful tutorial
Omg plz get yourself chiaogoo needles they are interchangeable and they have cords up to 50 inch! All the sizes are in one kit I have the stainless steel one they are simply fantastic!
Thank you for this information mikey I’ve always thought oh I will use what I’ve got but I can see that wouldn’t work for certain projects and these circular needles with different size cords are so useful I’ve tried making blankets on straight needles before and it’s not easy to use really long ones and you have to bunch your stitches up a lot so great advice 💖💕Amanda xx
This is totally why I invested in interchangeable ones because it would cost me way too much to buy all the sizes and lengths. I love my chiaogoo needles, i got the deluxe set for Christmas. Information though is....I love the 5 inch set of them BUT to make hats in the round I needed a 4 inch set because the 5 inch set is too big to join for the hats.
Sonya, Mikey here. I am facing serious burn out. I'm doing some knitting to recover to change up my day a bit as I am running day after day, eat, sleep, crochet, repeat... It's either do knitting or just stop the crochet until I can mentally repair. I'm sorry... I'm doing my best.
Why do you need to unsubscribe? If TH-cam recommends a knitting video to you just ignore it and don't watch. You don't need to watch every single video from creators you're subscribed to.

I didn’t mean any kind of malice. I hate knitting and don’t want it on my feed. Anything I subscribe to I watch every upload. So all that to say this, the channel is called the crochet crowd but clearly it’s taking a different direction which is fine but just not what I signed up/subscribed for, therefore, I will manually check in like i said. I’m sure feedback is welcomed.

Thanks for this Mikey. I am familiar with knitting, but zero experience with circular needles, so videos like this are very helpful :)
Hi Mickey, I learned that for fixed circular needles (not interchangeable) that size is point to point. Example: size 5mm needles 40mm circulars.😊

You have given me the urge to try knitting. Watching now to learn what needles to get. Thank you

Agreed! Love ChiaoGoo’s!
Thanks Mikey. I just might take up knitting again. I’m continental knitter, using circular needles

HI Mikey , Thank you for the info on the better Needles.
Happy to see doing something different
Thank you for sharing this information
Thank you Miicky, for the information
Hi Mikey thanks for sharing this information with us.
I'm having the same problem with my blanket. Thanks for sharing...
You can buy a certain size of knitting needles that have interchangeable cords of different lengths. That reduces the number of needles you require.

So you do flip to knit the next row, got it. 😊
I thought you just put an extra stitch at the beginning of your row.
I think his yarn was wrapped over the needle as he knit the 1st stitch, increasing 1 st.
Yeah, I caught that too. The yarn was in the wrong place.
Yeah. He accidentally did a yarn over before the first stitch, which is an increase.
Thank you
Hi Mikey. 😊👍
I am going to save for a circular knitting needle set. Everytime i plan a project , i do not have the right size at home....
Praying your doing ok.
You can always just knit it off onto a longer cord with needles.
I am not sure where you live in Canada, I hope you, your husband and pets are OK.
knitting? am I missing something? - where is the chrochetcrowd channel now? -

I HATE knitting but LOVE crochet. I’m tempted to unsubscribe BUT I will manually check in for crochet videos.
You should delete your comment. You're being judgemental and it's not nice.
