Great refresher course for all of us who have been crocheting. Can't wait to start up my knitting again.☺️

Watching you knit makes me want to start a knit project 🧶❤️( I mainly crochet but knit a little bit) Thank you for a relaxing tutorial 💕

Nice video. I could actually see what you were doing! I wish you had been around when I was learning to knit. A lot of the videos I watched they had their hands too far away from the camera, or the yarn was the same color as the background, stuff like that. I had my mind in the gutter when you were making the comments.

Mikey, why don’t you hold the yarn in your left hand like when you crochet? It’s much more efficient.

I think that it stops the yarn your looping round from sliding off. I'm having that issue with the continental knitting technique and watching this has stopped it..

I think it's a "to each their own" type a thing. For me, I quit trying to knit several times because I couldn't get it. It was frustrating because as a crocheter, I understood what I was seeing but I couldn't make my hands do what I was seeing. When I found left handed knitting, I got it. Now I can do both. I'm better at whatever technique I've been using most and therefore intentionally switch it up. I think people who are new to knitting should try both styles to see if they have a preference. My favorite is left handed.

I find it easier and faster to knit with the yarn in my right and purl with it in my left. Each person is different, there's so many different ways to knit. I also prefer to rib russian style as it's much neater. Lots of options to try! Xx

I am mainly a crocheter, I taught myself to knit 16 years ago, for most people who mainly crochet, they find continental knitting easier as you hold the yarn in your left hand as in crocheting. It can actually be much easier and faster, I am a combo knitter LOL, depending on what I am making I do it the way Mikey shows and I also do continental, purls either way are a bit slower.

There is a much faster way to knit both for knit and pearl stitches. It’s called the Continental aka German method.

I use that system. It's similar to holding my yarn for crocheting. It's faster than "throwing" the yarn as shown in this video

When I tried knitting my left index finger became sore due to pushing the needle over and over.
