Hi im in need of a new wing for my electric orange st 06 plate as mines got huge hole where it clips the trim so it keeps hanging off 🤦🏻♀️ where did you buy these from ? as genuine wings are £650 plus 😬
Hey! I bought mine from AUTODOC. Have you checked there? Be sure to choose the right oem code on the wing before buying anything. If you need help with anything just ask! Cheers 😃
hi, Looking to do this very soon. I did notice that the wings you put on didn't have any of the holes for the skirt end cap. how did u securethe end cap back on? Great video tho, I'm definitely going to use it for when I remove mine.
nice video! i have the same problem on my focus wagon from 2006, already got the new panels. I have a question, is it necessery to take off the front bumper? And maybe a tip, I always learned that the new coat needs to harden more thorough and breath several weeks after being sprayed, applying wax to the panel is kinda delaying this.
Thanks mate! If you’re only removing one of the fenders you can loosen up the bumper to access a screw underneath the fender. Check from 6.43min inside the video 😃 I recommend 2-3 months before applying any wax etc on the area. Angelwax redemption is a fine polish mate not a wax. Cheers 😀
@@dlxrekond aah i thought it was wax! haha. I bought a primer that says its hard after 2 hours, would u recommend to wait a day and than sand like u did in the video? Or could i just spray it after 2 hours of hardening without sanding?
@@btd1993 I recommend you to read the recommendations on the product. It’s a lot of different primers out there. Make sure you have the right temperature too. But I recommend you to use a “2k” primer where you mix the primer and the hardener together. I’m not sure if they sell “2k” in spraycans tbh. I just know that you can find clearcoat in 2k with an activator in bottom of the spraycan. 😃
Will be doing both of mine in a few weeks. Any tips or something you’d do differently? Seen that you took the bumper off, is there any tips in doing that as well? I’m not very good with cars 😂
Hey mate! Make sure to not stress. Buy 2k products and don’t forget primer in the inside of the wing and some clear coat to prevent rust. I would like to hear about your results!😃
@@simonlowe4013 Just slide it in and put the screw underneath it back on. Add a bit tiger seal if you want. It depends on how good fitting quality your new front wing/fender have. Good luck mate 😃
