Recently I commented on another of your videos, “flywheel bolts backed out and made a mess”. Anyways, as I was putting front cover back on I noticed the looseness on the dial nearest oil pump housing. I did place a new oring on that one. It was the only dial, I’ve had this ( 2004’ trx450fe ) for awhile now. No oil in the air box. Many hours and miles we’ve ran it. I’ve been bothered by it seeming to run warmer than I’d like but it keeps on going. Down to only installing air box and fuel tank to test run. Looks like I’ll be pulling cover back off. I want to thank you for taking the time to make and post these videos. Thanks! 👍🏼
I recently put shift clutches in my 06 350 rancher and run in this problem, happened to check the air filter for dust because the trail i was on was dusty. I noticed the air box had a litre of oil in it. Found your video and pulled the front cover again, and lo and behold one of the dowel pins and o ring was missing. Thank you very much i ordered one . This should solve my problem. Thanks for posting that vid.

The float is stuck in the carb letting fuel flow into the cylinder and then leaking past the rings. You will probably notice that the oil in the air box smells a little of gas. Replace your needle and seat in the carb and the problem should be resolved.
So basically exactly what ur saying has happened to me and I was told it was my piston rings. So do u think the needle and seat would solve my problem?
@@anthonyolmos9176 could very well be the problem. Rings can hold oil back since it's thicker, but not so much fuel. If the float sinks or the needle and seat are bad, fuel can flow right through the intake, past the valves and then right through the rings. YT channel Mustie1 talks about this happening.

On the kawaski's it often times means it has too much oil in it. Are you checking your oil level after screwing the dipstick in or are you just sticking it in and pulling it out?
Before watching I’m going to guess somthing is blocking the oil pump output like a o ring or debris which is causing oil to pump in the crank case instead of going to the head and cooler

I think this was a 2001 Rancher. There is a sensor on the bottom of the crankcase that may be bad on yours making the fan run all the time. You can always do as I did in the video and disconnect the left oil cooler line and crank it up and see if any oil flows out.

I small amount of oil is normal. It can come from slightly overfilling the crankcase but in you case with that new of a bike it make come from extra oil coming off an oiled air filter. Both cases are normal.

Wheelied? 650s and 750 kawi engines dont seem to like wheelies and will pump oil into the air box when at an angle like that. Turned out the engine was fine, just got some oil in the airbox because they wheelied it frequently it seems... Thanks for the reply Dillon. Everything you said is correct. Keep the front tires on the ground and that'll make you motor last a lot longer. The airbox actually has a drain on the right front up by the wheel. A small tube with a plug in the end you can take that out and it will drain the oil out of the air box.

@@FourwheelerDoctor What was the problem could you explain
@@FrankieCA99 it was pumping oil into the air box while it was running. During a prior disassembly someone left out the metal dowel and o ring that connects the old pump to the front cover.
@@FourwheelerDoctor I got a bike a Hyosung 650 Comet, and seems like it's dripping oil from the engine breather of course it gets to the filter and then it drips from the hose, i was told it was overfilled and that was normal, now i havent check yet, but on the Magic eye i dont see any oil so i'm scare now, been reading might be, a worm ring or Cylinder, but the bike is not smoking and has nice power, what should i check
Thanks

I have the same model and I have gas in my air filter why is that? I’ve also bought it after it was sitting for 5 years and they’re dirt in the gas tank how do I clean it?

Hey fourwheeler doctor you got a email I can email you at to make it easier to talk to you? Or Facebook messenger? I adjusted the valves and still won’t crank trying to figure the problem out.
