I agree with everything you have said, I lost 15 pounds eating tons of fruit and tons of carbs, potatoes are so amazing for your body and fill you up, lots of walking and lots of jumping rope, I will be 55 this October and feel better than when I was 40 years old😊

Good morning. I’m really inspired by what you’ve said about eating carbs to lose weight. Are you open to sharing details of what you ate every day including times of day & portions?

@@anatstapleton1791 Of course I had to lose weight because I have high cholesterol and needed to lose about 13 pounds for my frame and height, I ended up losing 15 pounds and have been maintaining it for over a year now, my cholesterol has gone down some but it is still a work in progress my main motivation was not going on medication, so I was really strict the first year and have now learned to manage my weight, the main thing is to eat lots of fruit it is your friend, when I wanted a cookie I made sure to have fruit around instead and I eat bread and rice all the time, also walk every day as much as you can, hope this helps. Oatmeal with fruit for breakfast, sandwich with chicken breast and lots of veggies and lots of fruit, dinner lots of rice and beans, stay away from sugar and processed foods and red meat. This is what has worked for me.

In this keto-focused, protein-obsessed culture, it is difficult to find people like you - teaching balanced, common sense practices for women. I agree with everything you said! I’m not implementing all of it (yet) but I’m continuing to learn and grow. Thank you for this great video!

Thank you. I am now leaning towards a plant based way of living. . Want to loose 15 pounds or so. All new to me. One food I don’t like is oatmeal. Breakfast is hard.forgot to mention I am 73 years young lady. Who loves to walk and workout.

I lost 15 pounds walking and eating loads of oatmeal, and I really don't like it unless I blend it up dry in the blender with some cinnamon, maple syrup, plant milk, frozen fruits and then I will pour it into a bowl and put it in the microwave for 3 to 4 minutes, it turns into a cake and then I top it with Greek yogurt, it is amazing, it is the only way I eat my oatmeal now, you can also add whatever you like, hope this helps😉

Love that you are 73 years young! I'm not a massive fan of oatmeal - it's a preference thing. I prefer oat groats.

Try green smoothie. Mix leafy greens and frozen fruit in a blender till smooth.

I grew up expected to eat everything on my plate, and we weren't rich, so I developed a compulsion to overeat for emotional regulation. Meditation actually helped. There was a meditation book I liked called 30 Days to Stop Overeating by Harper Daniels. Had nothing to do with diet, but thought and emotional control.

Thank you Sophie. You made great points. It seems that everyone is talking about protein these days and they make it sound like the more the better. So it was a breath of fresh air to hear you say to stop obsessing about protein. It's so true.

Is coconut 🥥 water 💦 ok?
I’ve been drinking 8oz of coconut water which has 9 grams of natural sugar. (Not added sugar)
