Great ideas. I'd just like to ask could a word or two be used differently? Meaning I don't wish to use the word love in a relationship until I'm ready to use it in romantic meaning. The word love is way too overused and has lost its true meaning. Long ago if you used the word love to a guy that would send him running for the high hills! The phrase "turns me on" can go so elsewhere (yes, I'm an old prude). Perhaps "really impress me" or something along that line.
I'm a heterosexual feminist and I appreciate men. Ib my 70s I've become more deeply aware of the beauty of femininity and masculinity. They're both so very valuable and since I've had a few relationships after my husband's passing 6 years ago and the 7 years before he died from dementia, it's so clear that there's a need for honoring that polarity. All these tips are very good, but I'm going to add something very simple: SAY HIS NAME OFTEN. He will know that you SEE HIM. He'll know without the words that you see him as an individual. He's not nameless. Pet names are sweet, but use his name too. In fact, everyone likes to be called by name sometimes. Men have been schooled to complement women, but as women, we need to let men know the things we love and admire in them, but it's important that those compliments aren't tactical. They must be in context and be sincere.
