If your fan doesnt spin or its stiff replace it as your xbox1 or s /x will get hot and turn off and so you will get messages on screen saying its programmed to shut down so wile your replacing a fan replace your thermal paste too
Hey man, my fan doesn’t work and it disconnects the controller as a result. Do you know any good companies/place to go to to help fix. I just dont believe in my ability 😂😂
My Xbox series s is a 5 blade like the one in your video. But for some reason all replacement parts I have found are 7 blades. Do you have a recommendation for the 5 blade?
My fan sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I've cleaned it thoroughly, still no joy. Replacement fans are not available in the country I live in. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible to use a pc fan? Thanks in advance
@Joesge I mean it sometimes doesn't switch on when booting up sometimes and then it overheats. I've had to leave the top off ot my console and give it spin by hand to get it to start
My 3 month old series s began making loud rattling noises. Its loudest when i first turn it on and get a little quiter after it warms up. Why might that be? Should i take it back to best buy? Its still under warranty and geek squad.
Good morning I have a Xbox slim and every time I push the power button it acts like it wants to start up and then it dies could be the problem with my Xbox slim
So I don't know if I'll get an answer buty Xbox was overheating often hasn't been covered has been getting really hot so I have an external fan on it often But the real problem is When I opened it up and checked on the fan. one of the fins was Hitting the sides and getting stuck not even sure how that Happened my Xbox has been through quite alot so I'm not complaining just curious I'm gonna need to replace it tho for sure

Have some confidence and I will promise you can get it done. Don’t look at it as such a daunting task, once you have the wits to do it once you can do it a thousand times.
You literally do it step by step from the video, he shows exactly what to do…it’s just like a Lego set just more expensive, have a little confidence and you can do it easily
My xss fan is barely spinning and it's over heating on the menu screen 😢. It happened when i gave it to a repair centre. I think they stole my new fan and put a broken one inside 😭
Hey mate. I got this problem with my two days old xss console while its horizontally and it disappears on vertically. Probably something touches the fan. Here is the exactly same problem in this video. th-cam.com/users/shortsQecNf9yTUMs?si=u26w4zBIsYx7pFfz What should i do? Also if i leave it work like that, do you think it will make a big problem in the future? I don’t want to return it tbh because the new one could have the same issue actually. Looking forward for your answer. Thank you!
It is most likley a cable that is hitting the fan blade. Just open it up and make sure nothing is in the way. If that isnt the issue then maybe the fan in defective and you should either return it for a refund, or repair it.
If the fan cant on So I only need to change new fan? Because after 5 minutes my Xbox series s auto turn off and then when I on it again I got overheat warning

I didn’t replace just did a quick clean and it appears to be working better, I can hear the fan again. I used the tools from my eye glass case btw
Glad to hear you could do a nice cleaning and get it done like that

Will wd40 help on lubricating the motor? I have no money for a new fan. And my fan sounds like a diesel engine.
Maybe find some electrical grease instead? Use very little.

The fan will not be on all the time, it only toggles on when the console gets warmer then a set temperature.

did you solve it? I have the same problem, And if you couldn't, can you tell me how you removed the lid and if it is safe?
All i did was end up flipping it over on the xbox button and gave it a few love taps on the side after blowing it out then it turned on
Ahhh the classic fix. Love that.
Was playing Microsoft flight sim when my fan gave out, literally did exactly what you did, gave it a few love taps and fan spinned right back to life💀
Your the goat lol totally worked for me 🙌🙌🙌
How to remove the white things at the back
I tried to click your parts link and it said it couldn’t resolve your sites address
The site has been fixed:)

If its under warranty I would just have them look at it. It is most likely either the fan going bad, or a wire caught in the fan.
Good morning I have a Xbox slim and every time I push the power button it acts like it wants to start up and then it dies could be the problem with my Xbox slim
It is either a bad power supply, or some sore of short on the motherboard. The power supply is a easier fix, but motherboard damage is very difficult.

It's possible that it got bent from a drop, or when moving from house to house or something like that.
that's wonderful but I don't have the know how to do that

Mine wont stop vibrating after putting it back together
Either some of the screws are missing or loose, or something is getting in the way of the fan from spinning properly, usually a ribbon or wire.

My Series S fan keeps making a clicking sound when I turn on my Xbox. How do I fix that?
I would try to blow it out with some air.
Same but my Xbox is stuck on a black screen how would I fix that ?
@@Joesge Same but my Xbox is stuck on a black screen how would I fix that ?
My brother put a pixel of dry spaghetti in the fan and now it's now making muck noise
Open it up and clean it out, that should solve your issue.
