Yeah, I have that cooler since the day I used my console for the first time, it works 100% I've done some testing and it lower the heat fast and effeciently, people usually think it doesn't work but they are totally wrong.
I have had this white G-Story cooling fan on my Xbox Series S for months and I have never once had a problem. I like it a lot. I think it makes my console better. The lights on it are fun too. Good video!
I picked this cooling fan up and it keeps everything nice and cool. But does it completely shut down when the console is off? Mine stays on when my console is off
Anything you plug into the usb port of your xbox will stay on even if your xbox is turned off so long as the xbox itself is plugged into the power outlet.
This is good but the only con is it parasites power from the xbox. It's actually better to power the fan off a usb charger etc. The reason its bad because it can kill your power supply on the xbox
If Microsoft changed the fan at a firmware level to ramp up and down based on APU temp, we wouldn’t need this. The fan runs at a static RPM. I never liked this about my Series S, but it seems to work. I’ve done the thermal paste twice. Because of the heat it dries up fast. And by fast, I mean almost 2,000 hours of Diablo 4.
My S fan ramps up when it’s warm and it’s off when I’m in menus. If yours never changes it could be faulty. The fan on the series S is notorious for being faulty. mine is a month old and I thought it was broken because my friends fan never turned on and mine was “loud” turns out that’s the way it’s supposed to be under load.
Yeah this is why I'd never buy a Series S, good small form factor, but runs WAY to hot and will be ruined by these new demanding titles. Especially Alan Wake II, which people have already had issues with. Nice fan though, very cool......NO PUN INTENDED.
It's more a hardware issue when it comes to new games not how hot the console gets. The fan is just a extra measure to band aid their quality control. Same thing happened with the first gen 360 console used poor quality parts and was over worked.
I don't think this would be useful unless the xbox is having overheating issues (which isn't a big problem like the base PS4). Games on consoles are made to hit a certain temperature and not pass a certain threshold, it's not like PC where some games get noticeably hotter than others.
Nah the Series S, especially with new games runs like a HOTPLATE, shuts down a LOT. Ruining peoples console, this thing is great. My Son uses one, keeps his from dying.
No of course not but I don't play my Xbox a whole lot and the tv I have my xbox on isn't 4k so it wouldn't make any sense to pay more for a series x only to not utilize its full capabilities. My PS5 is on a 4k tv as well as my pc setup.
@@iqshady22 Depends what you play ... something like Destiny 2 / Division 2 / Diablo / Grounded and so on, all run well on the system, draws less than 80 Watts and look great. You can grind away in these games at a fraction of the cost of the X or a gaming PC. The S costs a fraction of the cost of the GPU in my PC.

What people? You mean racists in the US and Canada? You mean the ones who think brown babies should be bombed and everything is just about them?
Plan get me one so don't risk overheating like my old 2020 XboxSeries S did I replace my old XboxSeries S with 2024 model
I can't believe my Xbox S was acting up. Diablo was taking its toll so I picked this up because of your review. Thanks pal!!
Let me know how it works for you! I've found it to be worth every penny 👍🏻
Is it working fine now ?? Or does it still over heat
@@SmokeyDatbear26 it’s a working great …haven’t had any heat issues since

Believe you have to cut the fan power manually if I'm not mistaken

I love my Xbox Series S 😀
Me too. I bought it specifically for travels and it’s a family companion in every hotel room or apartment.
I have got one of these for my Xbox X & it does a great job, thanks for a great video
No problem 👍
Is this blowing air in the console or sucking out the hot air? Also wouldn't it be be better to change out the thermal paste?
It is sucking hot air out.
Why youre trying to cool down the console? I never had any single problem because of heating issue. (Yet)
Mine was fine for 2 years and now it's basically 90°c
@@__________________________bub0 so what? Is there any rule that it shouldnt be 90c?

This all depends on ambient room temps also so if high heat during summer and ya dont have ac your unit will run even hotter.
Does this fan blow cool air into the console or dissipate hot air from inside the console to the outside?
It blows out the hot air
