Branded Wolfen that is one theory I like, but I heard sephiroth might have been referencing the vision of the meteor crashing over midgar. “7 second till the meteor hits.” It’s hard to say really. The final stand between cloud and sephiroth was super early and essentially cloud lost, where as in the original cloud could not lose that fight, no matter what you did. Pretty sure it’s due to the fact that cloud cannot beat sephiroth in his broken mental state. Only when cloud knows the truth of his past, can he actually over come sephiroth. Plus the creators were breaking the fourth wall by having sephiroth talk about the edge of creation. Basically all that combined, I think, from this point forward, ff7 as we know it, will not be the same. Theory: sephiroth does not want cloud to remember his past unless it’s because sephiroth shows it to cloud to toy with or push his mental state further down the “rabbit hole”. Example: Zach still lives (if he is still alive), cloud is reunited with the actual SOLDIER 1st class that cloud believes himself to be. Where does cloud fit in now, now that Zach is here? Zach cannot beat sephiroth and it comes to a point where cloud will have “7 seconds” to choose between saving Zach or arieth. Further Messing with his psyche to the point that cloud will never be able to beat Sephiroth. At this point, anything is possible, but I think cloud, ultimately will be the one to defeat sephiroth, regardless of who lives and who dies. I think we will see a different unfolding of how he figures out his past and realizes the truth of who he actually is. Side note: midgar, in the original, was pretty linear until you left midgar. I think the second game of the remake or even DLC’s (if any) will become more open terrain.

OG buster blade is strongest weaponin the game. Max stats 91atk 91mag 11vit 11spirit with buffs to HP and boastingthe only weapon with defensive stats. The only weapon that comes close is hard edge but its only physical attack Ive beaten this in hard mode and i can guarantee you you wont have enough mana after the whisper bahamut fight to spam heals you need to use chakra. Also im starting to think hard mode was the only mode where barrett joins the final fight instead of aerith. Making it harder to plan out and you need to use barret to tank while everyone flanks and heals. Some tips for your next play through: - cast your heals and chakra after sephiroth completes a combo and block the whole combo. - sephiroth can be countered alot of the time. His telluric blades attack can be forced to pressure him and knock him back if you time the focused thrust at the same time as his attack. - block while in operator mode and on his third strike (right before it hits you) swap to punisher mode. You will counter any counter-able attacks. And automatically be in punisher mode ready for a few fast slashes. Dodge roll away from him (not just for distance but to return yourself to operator mode to be able to block his combo chain again and counter or make use of your disorder ability while he casts magic for a few quick strikes before dodging into a block) Dont use your limit break until you’ve staggered an opponent (its the difference between a scratch and a mortal wound) you wont have alot of time to line it up right so utilize the pause feature as much as possible to maintain pressure with your allies. The faster your able to stagger him completely the more your limit breaks will do. ( also use tifas true strike atleast once on him after youve connected your hit with clouds limit break it will increase stagger damage 30% in on hit saving you precious damage time soam everything you got but be sure to hold onto an atb charge for chakra after cloud blocks a a combo he can heal with chakra. {if you need more atb guage utilize time materia atb stagger materia first strike materia and steadfast block materia thos four plus 2 hp ups and chakra make cloud as deadly as sephiroth. -
I wished I could have recorded my first win, was so clutch that I didn't know I beat sephiroth when both allies down, no feathers left and I was aerith with one hp left man and I barely beat him. Was so scared and I was in tears when I beat it. Also it was hard mode
U didn’t have to say because of asthetics. The buster sword is actually the best weapon cloud has in my opinion cause of out of all his weapons it has the 2nd highest physical attack stat and the most all around balance stats wise compared to his other weapons
Don't know why we are seeing one-winged angel Sephiroth and Sephiroth vs Cloud fight here in Midgar section of the game. These should be at the end of the whole FF7 game. Seems like they want to appease fans.
I dont think its a real remake in the traditional sense of the word. It feels more like a reimagining combined with a remake that although stays somewhat on the same story path as the original, its meant to stand on its own as an individual game by itself.
Still, they’ve already remade One winged Angel to be over the top. As cheesy as it may sound, I can’t imagine the end game One winged Angel to sound more menacing than this
I played throughout the whole game with only the buster sword. Then on my second play through I decided to change it up to get the abilities. But it definitely felt a lot better with just the buster sword.

It's clear the Whispers are from the future of the OG timeline, but when Omega was destroyed with Chaos the Planet's defense lay in the hands of Genesis. Rubrum, Viridi and Croceo share colors in their namesake that either resemble the Tsiviets or new WEAPONS of a sort. Genesis just wouldn't shut up about Loveless and harped about a reunion of 3 friends (Seph, Angeal/Zack and himself pass as the bill loosely fits). I'm thinking Genesis definitely has something to do with the Whispers as we see Jenova in Sephiroth's form (still under his control) has some command over the Whispers as well. Cloud having took over for Zack is once again a target of Sephiroth, but with different motives. That much I'm sure of. All I wonder know is if Seph is the villain or is Genesis the anti-villain having taken on the role he did. I know we'll get more answers...hopefully we'll see what Sephiroth was up to from the end of Advent Children to the end of Dirge of Cerberus. I'd like to know how Aerith is able to impart knowledge by touch, open portals and seemingly retain knowledge from the other timeline as well. Same for Sephiroth. What do you think will happen? Edit: I wouldn't mind another cliffhanger ending if the next game is a "what if" story of if Zack survived and we go to that third timeline from start to finish. Even if the ending is just saying Zack is alive in the OG timeline and that we'll never see it again I'm okay with that too so long as this Remake timeline is a fulfilling and wild ride.

I dont understand why people choose to change weapon 🤷♂️ i even platinum trophy this game without even changing weapons (i only change weapon for trophy and weapon ability to unlock for all weapon)
They're all individual separate stories with overarching themes, and some similar naming conventions, but that's about it! Being new to FF you have a lot to discover :)

I used Buster Sword for the final battle cuz after i upgraded all my weapons, the Buster Sword had higher stats than even my Twin Stinger.

Can anyone tell me which materia gives you access to all abilities for weapons?
You get access by doing Hard Mode, basically all bosses and some specific sidequests in Hard will get you access to complete the weapons abilities.

Liam Milburn Sidequest! He's the trickiest optional boss in the game until you hit Hard Mode, which has a few extras ;)

That's not the OG Buster Sword at least the design is not, it looks like a mix between the original and Crisis Core Buster Sword.
