Here in the middle US, Ohio, our rabbit population goes in cycles. But, I've never seen numbers of rabbits like you all have in Australia. Truly unbelievable, and awful, as they are invasive there. This channel and one other i watch contracts to farmers. Good luck. Hopefully, from this point forward, we've all learned our lesson on introducing new species into foreign habitats.
Bloody hell all they needed is a few feral pigs and maybe a cat or two🤔😁 to cover all bases. You’re going to need a big trailer to collect everything. Great work. 👏👏
you have that FX tuned to perfection.... I have one in .25 with lots of upgrades, no time to try it out yet after a complete rebuild... send us a few million rabbits please, next to none left in the UK due to VHD and mixxie... I have a new CZ457 LRP with a 3oz Jard waiting for 150 yard crows & magpies..... can't wait.....Subscribed bud..
I look at the amazing night vision you use and think about the night vision sights that I use to repair when in the British Army back in the 70s/80s. Chalk and Cheese comes to mind. Excellent shooting, noticed no fences being hurt during the filming.
Okay…you were already the “King of Leading Shots”……now I have to anoint you with another moniker…..”King of Holdover”…..and with an air rifle no less! Much respect Sir……..
I must say it is good to see an affordable scope. Although the expensive scopes look amazing on vid, the joe or josephine average aren't pro pest control officers and just want something that works at night at a sub $2000 price point.
Hello brother, We really appreciate you getting out amongst it with our Aurora support bag! Perfectly suited to decimating birds from a car door amongst other things. Love your work, excellent editing as usual. Always great to see. J
Finally had a chance to watch this one. Thoroughly enjoyed it too,👍👍 Zan slugs are all I use in my 30 cal Impact. They are the only slugs I have found that regularly open on small game and even birds like starlings which are legal here in my state. I am very familiar with the slap of those slugs. LOL
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK I have quite a few of them in my pellet/slug collection I have taken from various critters like woodchucks and raccoons etc and they expend nicely.
Nathan, always impressed by your shooting skills! Never been a hunter but I really enjoy the videos. Your dry sense of humor is also appreciated. I am not a tree but do you ever eat the hogs and rabbits? I heard you say on this video you had a freezer full so it got me thinking. Again, not judging in any way. Cheers and keep the videos coming!
We live very remotely on an Island up Cape York way. Today we had a chopper land with Aqis on sussing out the pig population. Good yarn about the diseases they carry but, I said you should watch Edge of the Outback. All looked at each other and aknowledged that's what they'd watched the night before. You've got yourself a huge and wide spread audience. Cheers we love it. Great vid but I do miss seeing a dead cat. I got two sow's under the mango tree on dusk but it ain't at your level. Keep it rolling. Cheers.
This is a good one to show the kids before Easter. Are many of the rabbits diseased? I know years ago in the Riverland there were areas where a lot of the rabbit population had Myxomatosis, which was introduced to try and eradicate them, I guess it doesn't matter since the slug does a pretty good job too. Good to see your pushing the 4WD to its limits haha
Great video. Unless I'm mistaken. (And I sure as heck could be) You've got a bit of barrel bleed. The valve is staying open/being held open longer than needed, resulting in the hiss of air you can hear in the video after your shot. This might be costing you multiple shots in lost air. All the best in the future, keep up the great work.
Duly noted, and that was my first thought. That it stops hissing once you cock the next round leads me to think its barrel bleed though. (I used to tech Paintball markers and some older ones, called autocockers, run on the same system in principle as the FX only semi auto. Pump markers are the same). They would do the same thing if not tuned properly. The hammer would be resting against the release vavle after the shot and it would stop once you recocked) Just for shits and giggles. Try cocking as fast as you can after a shot. If it stops right away with each reload it's likely barrel bleed. If it continues to hiss until the expansion chamber is refilled (which should happen in the blink of an eye, really), then I'm wrong, and I'll eat my flipflops. Anywho, great shooting, good vid and keep up the great pest control.
Great stuff as always Nathan. I cannot stand those Indian Mynahs. We get alot down South. No doubt you were stoked with your tally of them the pigeons and rabbits. Well done
Fabulous to see a decimation of pigeons and mynas. Cannot fathom how anyone could confuse the mongrel myna with the majestic magpie. Dunno if you'll agree but its my opinion that the night breeze (wind) is quite different to daylight breezes - ya' see, I use to often fly kites at night and when doing so I always needed an elevated location and found the night breeze very unpredictable and inconsistant.
confusing Indian Mynahs for magpies? that's surprising given how different they look. wracking my brain for even *one* similarity between em before you mentioned the white patch.
You mentioned the wind Is there a scope which will put this into the reticule as well.? Also, I noticed your scope shows you the elevation to shoot at for greater distances. Does it also adjust if you’re shooting up or down elevations?
Awesome job Nathan. No indian mynahs around my place either. I do have large gangs of noisey mynahs though. They're funny little buggers. I reckon they keep the Indians away. They sure pick on everything else... 😂. I am amazed at how many locals think the Indian is a native bird, and think the noisy is introduced. 🤦🏼 What a shame house holds in Australia do not have an air rifle in the pantry any more. We could all do our part on those pesky mynahs. Love the holdovers. 👌🏼
Great job on the Indian Myna's I can't stand these birds they are a massive problem to our native birds and smaller arboreal mammals. I have seen them drag sugar gliders out of their nests and chase off parrots. That position in the car seem to work a treat, they are generally very smart and quickly work out what you are doing. Love your vids and keep up the good work.
I've got the Nightstalker as well, and I noticed in your recordings it is difficult to see the holdover, as in mine. Shame about that and the audio. Nice work mate as always 👍
Had a good chuckle at the 4wd part definitely gotta be one happy property owner
He was mate, and I was having fun too 🍻
Indian Mynahs - known in Far North Queensland as flying canetoads!
The sudden Splaaat slows em down 😂
Fair call
and they’re too clever, even a pest in Jhb, South Africa
@@letsworksimple A lot of pests in Seth Efrica.
Absolute mongrels, they are enemy #1 at the farm when I have the little CZ out.

Thanks mate. Yes, you'd hope mankind has finally learned....
Love the air rifle, you can see the trajectory of the slugs. Great work once again. Thankyou.
Cheers 🍻
That looks like so much fun. Love the absolute power of those air rifles hey!!
That farmer's gonna love you. What a haul
You got that right!
All terrain driving experience. Brilliant 😂
It was rough, probably should have had a helmet on.
Awesome video man
Love that you dont even have to get out of the car.!
Was pretty cruisy eh
Mate, that thud we hear when the projectile hits the animal target is a solid thud.... yes, Sir! Thanks for sharing your management of pests videos.
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks!
Really appreciate it Ron, thank you 🍻
Nice job Nathan, no shortage of targets out there mate.
Love the way they keep coming back, another introduced pest, great work mate,.love those Bog holes haha

Not a bad effort there Nathan Mynas ,Rats with wings and a ton of bunnies I'll bet the farmer was happy.

Band and job done, good action Nathan.
Thanks Nathan always entertaining and great shooting Smash those Myna birds :) :)
*EDGE of the OUTBACK* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.

Hey mate, I'll often take rabbits, but never pigs, too many bugs in them. There's always details on that in the video descriptions if you're curious.
Amazing shott

I love your videos. I've watched several of them multiple times. With all the bunnies, I'm surprised you didn't tag a puddy-tat or two!😺
Few pet cats about that area which are off the list to hit.

I believe the hissing is just the plenum refilling after a shot. Mine, and the other M3's I've used all seem to do it.

The 4wd part killed me!! Keep up the great work mate!

Listening to the sound between shots, I thought you were using a scuba regulator. And then realised it was your rifle’s air system. LOL
Yeah it's subtle, but the scope mic's pick it up.

And the mynahs are only a third/quarter the size of magpies too !!!
I know it always baffles me people get triggered in the comments. Strange place the internet somedays.
@jonathany1240 the white "roundels" on the wings are reminiscent of dollar birds (rollers( but that's where the similarities end ..

Looks like you had a great time with those wascally wabbits there young Nathan. Keep up the good work old mate😁. Cheers Dan
Thanks 👍
Daisy with a bit of diesel nice work😂
Definitely plenty of targets there, amazing to think how much damage those pests would be doing
One place was a right mess from rabbit warrens.
how do you sleep at night......when there are so many pests that need dealt with!
Sleep is often overrated !!! (until you haven't had enough)
That looked like a years supply of rabbit in a single night... Great job!!!
You mentioned the wind
Is there a scope which will put this into the reticule as well.?
Also, I noticed your scope shows you the elevation to shoot at for greater distances. Does it also adjust if you’re shooting up or down elevations?
It adjusts for all elevation or angles 👌, wind, no.

Possibly 🥴
That was a pretty rough road for that german thing your driving! What happened to the toyota???
That was never mine the Landcruiser.

More than one warren
U do awesome job, just a question, how are you able to use suppressor on rifles? Is it because you have pest control business license?

Yeah I'm not sure why it's not fully recording the hold over mark. Oh well, we can see it on the rifle and that's the main thing.
@EDGEoftheOUTBACK 100% mate, also Nathan you will get better audio with the SD card cover off
I'll have to try that with the cover, I remember doing it on the older NV008's with small gain. Anything helps, appreciate it.
