Imagine it if diana walked away during the engagement. I dont accept this that she didn't know anout camilla. As charles once said " im not going to be the first prince of Wales who didn't have a mistress'
I read a story ,after her death in 1997, that Diana had second thoughts, days before the wedding. It was either her sister, or her mother that told her it was too late to back out "Your picture is already in all the tea towels" was the quote. I am convinced Diana did believe Camilla was just a friend to Charles and that their love affair was in the past. Diana and Charles were two people that were just toxic together, they should have not married.
She wanted to... She told her sisters she wanted to back out and they pressured her not to... She didnt know about Camilla at first but she realized not long before the wedding. Maybe if she'd been older and more mature she would've taken the backlash and drama of backing out of a royal wedding, but she was so young
Only these two people truly know what happened. But from my point of view Charles is a brat and has always been. He could’ve not married Diana and stuck to his true love. But he chose the crown over Camilla - so to me he is more to blame But Diana was immature and could’ve handled it better too. But what is done is done.
how could he complain she was married to him and was destroying him but he married her cause he had to and he definately destroyed her. what a wimp. she was right to say he had no business being king.
Now, I read that King Charles III is unhappy being married to Camilla. He got his just desserts when he dumped beautiful Diana for that thing he has for a wife now.
"I married you because i loved you and we have two sons together, we are a family" If those heavy words didn't stop Charles from ruining everything then how did royal family decide he's even fit to be king after Elizabeth? They should never have given him even a chance.
The way they portrayed Diana, especially in the last 2 seasons was absolutely despicable and I am convinced that was the whole purpose of this entire series to begin with.
Maybe you watchee something else? She isn't portrayed as a bad person at all, it's surprisingly realistic. What did you want? Her portrayed as a perfect sweet human being who did nothing wrong, a complete martyr among evil people? That wouldn't be true either
Why do so many subscribe to The Legend of Saint Diana? She also said and did terrible things. She wasn't blameless in that marriage, and I applaud The Crown for portraying her as a flawed human - royal or not.
Him imposing her to say the other ones name was cruel. he is a coward :" ask my parents" if you are man enough to betray and to do things behind ones back ,why not be a man to say no . spoiled to say the least
Much is said about Charles's behaviour which I do not challenge. But little about Diana's. I submit this: she did not love Charles, at any point. She wanted his love, desperately, and always did. But that's different from loving him. Diana was mentally messed up long before she met Charles. Her mother had walked out on the family and Diana had abandonment issues. Which meant that, no matter how much attention anybody gave her, it was never enough and she always wanted more. 24/7, constant, totally over the top attention. That's the real reason she went from man to man. She wanted, craved, needed attention and obsessive love from literally everybody literally all the time. And no-one can offer that. And this will be controversial: when she didn't get that total obsessive love, she turned violent and nasty. I put it to you that she beat Charles and emotionally tortured him. And to his credit, he has never really told the truth about that. You can read the odd anecdote about Diana physically attacking Charles while he prayed (because if he was praying, he wasn't giving her attention). But I personally think that there is an awful lot more that will yet come out. And I think it's no coincidence that one cause Camilla has taken up is domestic abuse.
And that is the real reason Charles apparently came to hate her towards the end of their marriage. I think Charles - having a macho father - was ashamed and that his parents never knew the full story. But Camilla knows. Diana never released Charles from her obsession, even after they separated. She didn't love him but she couldn't stand that he was walking away. You'll recall that Diana confronted Charles with Camilla at a house party. And Camilla retorted, "You've got all the men in the world fall in love with you and you've got two beautiful children, what more do you want?" I'd like to rephrase it to add context: "You don't love Charles, you beat him and abuse him, you only want him when you can't have him. You can have any man in the world. Why can't you just leave him alone?"
And I'd also submit that Diana was an expert at emotional manipulation. Everyone bought into it, including the public and her own children. When Harry and William relay that they would 'catch' her crying, that was no accident on her part. And their response - 'wicked old dad has upset mum again.' Classic abuser behaviour to make themselves out to be the victim. And it worked! She played it brilliantly. Even today, everyone is convinced that she was a saint. I'm convinced that the truth will out one day.
@dod4004 This post is absolutely perfect and brilliant!! I have made so many comments similar to yours but very very few agree with me. 99 percent of the viewers are STILL in awe of Diana. It's narrow minded to not see the other side of Diana! I'm guessing that Diana was humiliated when Charles didn't want her because it looks bad to the public if your own husband doesn't want you. The public wouldn't have believed Charles and QE hid most of the erratic behavior of Diana. You believe all the wonderful press coverage and compliments about your clothes and handbags and shoes and hair and hugs and kisses. But this tends to be very shallow of not just Diana but the public also. She really wasn't doing anything EXTRAORDINARY or anything for the people of Wales! She gave up all her charities and just went on vacation. Vacation from what? It cost a fortune to maintain her and when she couldn't get her own way she would shove her stepmother down a flight of stairs or If she didn't like Charles dog according to Ken Wharf she would place the dog in the ( turned off ) OVEN!! I think it's sad that MEN never report WOMEN for physical abuse!!! I also think it's odd that we heard Charles side just a couple of times. We heard what Diana has been through every minute.... Diana was emotionally unstable and treacherous. Thanks for the post.😊😊
Yes but this was Diana looking for love because her husband was incapable of loving her. Charles sought to deceive right from the start. Charles is a self centered, privileged, over indulged man child. Diana just wanted to be with someone who could love her as she was

She was right, he's not fit to be king. He carried on with the married woman his entire marriage (and she was no angel either...she married while Charles served his country in the military, and wore white to his wedding with Diana). In the past, a divorced man was not allowed to become king. The should have kept the rule and passed the crown down to William.
But how much karma did these two people do in their lives, damn, the next life will be very hard for both of them. In any case, soon AI will allow us to use the same face of any famous or well-known person in the history of this world to be able to use it in movies or television series, even their same voices, then actors who look facially similar will no longer be necessary whoever you want to represent, if not you will only need similar height and complexion, it will be very incredible to see Charles and Diana themselves acting in a movie or television series soon :D

“ why did you want to marry me”
Charlie’s reply… “ cuz I had to”
Talk about stabbing the heart ♥️ again and again. Diana loved him but Charlies never did. Maybe after her death but it’s only until she’s gone that he truly cared for her.
He didn't care about her, he held regret over the way he treated her.
Regret is summarized when you feel bad for someone over something you did, but given the chance would readily do it again.
It’s a drama!
During those 16years of marriage she never got to the point of understanding that even if u love someone u can't force this person to love you back! You can cry out sea of tears and that's just waste. Sometimes u just have to let it go! If it's trully yours it will come back to you.
"Can we use her name, today"
Why? My God, why pour vinegar in this woman's wounds like that??? You hurt her irreparably and you want her to respect and mention that old t$&t?
My God, some men are so emotionally sadistic and cruel.
@Aiana-wv4pf. Diana wrote a book about Charles she gave horrible interviews about her own husband! She poured salt and vinegar and pepper 🌶️🌶️🫑🫑 in his wounds! Diana was bitter and nasty 🤢🤢 even as a child ! She also admitted to all of this in her interview. My goodness some women are emotionally sadistic and cruel.
@@JoanMorrison-vq2jcshe had separated from Charles when she did that interview. She was entitled to say what she liked about Charles. And remember Charles did an interview of his own before Diana did.
@@danniifranks9042 Oh Gee. I wonder why Charles turned on "Lady" Diana? Andrew Morton made a good penny off of Diana! She was such a SLOB ! 😢

YES, great line great writers!!! Made me happy Diana will be happy in the heaven
It's just amazing that the same actor played crass classless McNulty on The Wire. He disappears so much into each character that I didn't even recognize his face!
Charles should have abdicated when he publicly acknowledged Camila as his only love. His relationship with Camila is that of a weak, arrogant, child who fell prey to his nanny of a mistress.
I don’t he would do that considering the consequences of his grand uncle abdication.
He would have never been allowed to abdicate, not after the mess of what happened with the last abdication and how it affected his grandfather.
@@CaptainPikeachuright. Abdication would’ve been a dirty word in that household. QE2 had strong feelings about it and look at the example of duty, dedication and longevity she set. It would never have even been considered an option.
Poor you. His love life arouses insecurity in you which leads to this narsisstic outburst.
His love life concerns him and those around him. Lets leave it to them.
Charles has never recovered respect for his ghastly treatment of Diana. As for Camilla . . . ditto.
True. Charles has no moral ascendancy. He might be King but people see him as unfit even if he is the crowned one.
@@skyazullopez6726they really don’t 😂that man has done far more for others and charities and the environment especially than I will ever do
He was 'bred' to be king.
Yeah, I think very few people are really "born" to do something. Obviously, the expectation at his birth was that he _would_ be king, and so "born to do it" is a reasonable way of talking in that sense. But that's not the same as being suited to it.
I kind of think people should be realistic about how a person's inclinations and gifts can't possibly be known at birth and change over the course of their life. Having hereditary head of state for life is just...silly.
You mean "inbred," don't you
Pity he wasn't bred to be a gentleman.
Yes, you’ve made an excellent point here. The mistake his parents made was in rearing Charles with his expectation of becoming Monarch ~ not to have any give/take with people.
@@ladydamiana6841 but she wasn't exactly "Lady" Diana either.
So so sad. It should have been so different. Poor Diana. Poor Charles.
I feel bad for both of them. Diana really loved her husband and she really was hoping that the marriage would work. Charles tried to love Diana but he wanted Camila and he made that perfectly clear to Diana and his parents and to the entire world.
great actors!
She is always ready to love him back. But he is just a little man cannot be outshined by anyone.

@@JoanMorrison-vq2jc dont be ridiculous
If Diana really said that, she was spot on. By this time William was outpacing Charles in popularity. Until the present day people would prefer him be king. Neither Charles nor Diana were innocent in that marriage, but she was right about that and Charles knows it.
They were both to blame.
Imagine it if diana walked away during the engagement. I dont accept this that she didn't know anout camilla. As charles once said " im not going to be the first prince of Wales who didn't have a mistress'
She was immature. She probably thought that she was the young beautiful princess and the old mistress would fade away and she'd be a Disney princess.
@@MsJubjubbirdor maybe she thought her own husband would have a conscience and give Camilla up for her which sadly he never did!
But he chose the crown over Camilla - so to me he is more to blame
But Diana was immature and could’ve handled it better too.
But what is done is done.
Well if Charles is this awful then good - he got exactly what he deserved - devious DIANA!! 😮😮😮

Must have been painful to be married to somebody who doesnt love you back and just felt forced about it all.
When he told her that he had no choice that really made me angry because he couldn't or wouldn't understand how really cruel he was towards Diana.
I feel like this assumes a level of emotional maturity and self-awareness that I find fantastically unbelievable in a royal family member.
Sangat dewasa sekali, kontrol emosi seperti ini mungkin bisa saya capai sekitar usia 60 tahun,,entah mungkin tidak sama sekali,,

how could he complain she was married to him and was destroying him but he married her cause he had to and he definately destroyed her. what a wimp. she was right to say he had no business being king.

Now, I read that King Charles III is unhappy being married to Camilla. He got his just desserts when he dumped beautiful Diana for that thing he has for a wife now.
Camilla is actually very elegant, a very pleasant sweet lady. Just feel badly for Diana.

How in hell did he choose that horrible side piece over such a wonderful person??? It’s idiotic and crazy

When he initially meet Camilla they were BOTH single. He should have manned up and stood up to his family !
He did love diana in his own way when they married...he said so...he stayed away from camilla for those first four years or so...
Poor Diana.
Oh no! She got even! Her reputation was ruined but always had an outstanding influence.
History moves on.
Poor Charles.
What on earth are you on about lmao
It was fine. The idea was to portray her like a flawed human being, just like everyone else
Maybe you watchee something else? She isn't portrayed as a bad person at all, it's surprisingly realistic. What did you want? Her portrayed as a perfect sweet human being who did nothing wrong, a complete martyr among evil people? That wouldn't be true either
Very despicable :)

Почему так часто меняли головних акторок, хто грав Діану?
Every character changed, not just Diana.
Chuck is a brute and will always be.
Diana also had several affairs, like James Hewitt!
Yes but this was Diana looking for love because her husband was incapable of loving her. Charles sought to deceive right from the start. Charles is a self centered, privileged, over indulged man child. Diana just wanted to be with someone who could love her as she was
He only had one compared to her litany of lovers, William was taunted at school that she was a tart
I mean if my husband never loved me and choose to marry me anyway..yeah I'd go fine love elsewhere too. Poor Diana was miserable

Way over- dramatic.
She didn’t know how to love herself so I don’t believe she truly loved him- just the benefits that came with him.
I think she liked the idea of a fairy tale.
He still blames Diana for the breakdown of the marriage. I hate him so much. I hope that he goes to he'll so his son, William, can take over. He is the stupid selfish person I have come across. He had the right to say I would not marry Diana while I am in love with someone else. SELFISH immoral Camila

For his inability to stand for himself ( be a man) he’s is paying now. He used Diana and now he’s being used by his wife whom he loved so much. She like him used him for her own gain . How appropriate. He suffers bad health and will have a short reign as his mother saw him for what he is. Not suited for the job.
