He doesn't trust her because she doesn't understand the importance of tradition, she is at a completely different extreme than Camilla who is more neutral, and is frankly, overindulgent to Charles. I actually think they were too fundamentally different to ever work out long term. He was considerably more educated and realistic. Diana was a pop culture girlie who probably didn't read all that much and loved escapist entertainment. The irony is this - if Charles did marry Camilla like he should have in the first place, I truly believe that Diana would have been his mistress. Another timeline and another reality.
@@clearsky4003 I did not intend to shade Princess Diana by pointing out that she was in tune with pop culture and a dreamer who wasn't into books. But I do think that she and Charles were very different and he probably looked down on his wife's interests just as Diana probably found her husband to be boring. I don't know anything about Camilla's formal education (by the way, people don't need to go to school to be book smart) but a lot can be gleaned from the fact that she has remained in Charles' orbit all these years. Compatibility counts for a lot. I think Diana would have been happier with a younger, more thoughtful man.

The problem was that none of them were at fault. Both yearned for love and affection. None of them tried the understand each other because both were different individuals with different individuals. Not justifying Charles but Charles didn't treat Diana only aa his sons' mother - he treated her as a friend, a separate entity. It wasn't his fault that he was forced to marry and love someone despite giving his heart to someone else. Love can never be forced. It's something that comes automatically, and Diana, an innocent and pure soul became a victim of such a dreadful situation which ultimately costed her life. Both of them had a flawed fate, but for Charles, atleast he finally got united with his lover at the end. But oh poor princess, she died a tragic death along with the person whom she felt for, hoping they're united someone, in happy spirits. ❤️

I wish this scene actually happened in real life. I was kinda horrified though when i saw Diana walking on the grass with white pumps 😅.
Poor Diana
He didn’t love her he said that just to to pacify her.
Her role is 100%. I am stunned. Wow.
All she wanted was for Charles to give her a chance ! That’s all she wanted , yes she loved him . She never got a chance. He used her . So sad . Those kids are the ones hurt the most . I wish Harry and William the best
But yet he isn't dead who lived threw that family narcissism. He was controlled too and not allowed to love who he truly wanted. She was too much for someone who was called a loose canine by everyone. She couldn't accept her place . Not that it's fair but non of them were treated like so either.
He didn't use her. He was just as needy, attention-seeking, insecure and neglected in childhood as she was. But too old for her.
The whole thing was hopeless.
And yes, she was whiney.
She really loved him with all her heart he wasn't repaired for someone as beautiful as she was he was out of his league
he says he "loves" you in that way.
well that's certainly the MOST NORMAL way to love I guess😅
Decent staging, for once, with him always retreating when confronted.
4:02 your actions, chas, speak louder than words
I don't remember this scene. Thanks for posting.
I don’t know how true this is; but I looked up all three of their natal charts, and wow! It was definitely a love triangle at one point.
Narcissist and Borderline - Kaboooom 💥💥💥
Gaslighting 101 What he does to her. Trying to make her feel bad while he has been with Camilla the entire time 🙄
I actually think they were too fundamentally different to ever work out long term.
Shirley here, why would do people think it's to great to marry into royalty? So far what I have seen in my 50 yrs is unhappiness.
You should not beg for love or attention. Diana asks for it and charles couldnt give it to her genuinely… he didnt feel for her the way she feels, thats why he negligent in her affection…. They are never meant for each other no matter how they try
My late husband and I were 11 years apart, however, we met when I was 36 and he was 47. Our likes and maturity were the same and we had 32 wonderful years together. Diana was 20 and Charles 32. Was more like a parent child relationship rather than a husband and wife. Sad.
This actress acting❤😮😮😮😮
Who knew marrying into a family of miserable people, would make one feel miserable As well. -_-
So well acted. Emma corin is brilliant. They both are.
Wen josh said he loved ema it meltid me
❤
He married her deceiving her and then says she must applaud him. He is lucky she married him in the first place.
She needed a daddy for a husband. He needed a mommy for a wife. That was the issue in my opinion. He in the end got it.
If I'd been Charles, Harry and William would have had about 5 more siblings. I mean just look at Diana. Good gig.
do you think Di would have wanted 6 children>
@@glen7318 That's what she was there for.
This movie described it differently then their real relationship were..
He never loved her even tho he tried he was a bit heartless and in real life he didn't actually care about her..
Regardless of how many likes I get or don’t if I was Prince Charles I would’ve accepted being with Diana and would’ve been a loving husband and father and would’ve let Camilla go once and for all. Call me old fashioned but once you marry someone and make a commitment you have to accept it and man up and show love and adornment and tenderness. That’s what I’m gonna do when I get married even if I love someone else I’m still gonna be faithful and loving and caring and giving non stop attention to my wife and future children and find happiness,
I hope you find someone desperate enough to overlook your use of the word "gonna".
Tell that to the people in forced marriages. Let’s see how it goes.
@@mck7067It wasn't forced, he was in his thirties and he had his own independent income.
He broke eye contact when saying i love you but before and after he was making eye contact...another proof that he didnt and couldnt love her even if he may have tried...is it just me whole saw that subtle detail
Which episode?
See where Hazno gets it from, those two whiny crybabies
Do not blame Prince Charles. His father is Charles SPENCER.
Diana ones said: The whole world loves me, except the man I love ❤❤
Which place is this?
Imagine Charles & Camilla sitting together at evening watching this movie 🍿 😅
He is no king to me!!!!
The actress who played Diana overdid it a bit with the head tilting & looking down. I remember Princess Diana did that a lot in public because she was trying to avoid the cameras constantly in her face, but in private? The actress turned into a ridiculous Princess Diana caricature, especially the long necked actress in season five. It was preposterous!
I hate remarks like the one she just made, “would you like to go first” “would make a nice change” like that’s not mature or needed
She was young and immature due to lack of experience.
He was emotionally immature.
He was older than his years - liked older activities.
She was young. Loved to do the young ppl things.
And he didn’t love her. I think he tried to love her.
I think he loved her, but not a passionate love. More how you love a friend or family member. He was devastated when she died and raising children together does create some appreciation. But he didn't want her as his life companion
Il film in versione italiana?
Charles gave all of his attention to Camilla, even though she repeatedly played with his emotions.
😢😢😢😢😢
After watching the last season I have the feeling that these series were made to paint the royal family white…to show that they are humane. I don’t know, still find what Charles did to Diana very sad. As well as how princess Margareth was treated by the family very disappointing.
Exactly! You hit the nail on it's head. I thought so too. It's slightly biased towards white-washing Charles's image, like he wasn't wrong or bad or apathetic, it was just "complicated", esp since Princess D isn't here anymore to clarify or correct or speak up even if they portray it wrongly.
@@Destination_Unknown713 technically princess d got to speak a lot about it... It was Charles who never had the chance to put his story forward and has been for decades the undisputable monster, thats rather unfair as well
@@Destination_Unknown713
D spoke more than her fair share about it. She courted the media and was sainted.
The only person not allowed to defend himself was Charles.
Diana was a saint, Charles was a monster, yeah, yeah, we know already.
@@countlitmogaphil392 not a monster, only Camilla's tampon
he never loved her
Did he say he love her?i know why because he want another baby

Hey for Cobra Kai Season 6 I want the episodes to still be just 10 but be much longer than the other seasons.
Wicked. Man. For. Cheating on. Her.
Narcissistic
Poor woman Diana 😢I have so much compassion for her...she was so unhappy her whole entire life. But God forgive me I would never regret her marriage,,,we got two wonderful boys then beautiful Meghan Markle and Kate. ❤❤❤
He needed heirs. Not sure when or if this conversation happened in real life, but thinking it was prior to their sons being born.
William was born already
She seemed hard to get along with
kinda irrelevant but josh o'connor is so attractive
It's funny that people will talk a bunch of nonsense about that Napoleon movie and how historically inaccurate it is Yeah we'll go into detail about how they know every single detail about every detailer is about the detail of the Royal family which is not only pathetic and sad but it really shows how much time you have on your hands❤
The way he treated Diana is the same way camilia treated him... it's just that he had a throne for which camilia was greedy about.. if she was so in love with him , she would hv nvr married another man and thn get divorced and next yr asked him to do so...
Are you this thick?
Her marriage to Andrew was rushed through to keep them apart. It didn't work. They have stayed true to each other for 50 years. That's remarkable.
Diana, on the other hand, slept with countless married men while married to Charles. He slept with one other person. Camilla. The woman he always loved and waited for. They both went though so much crap and never gave up on each other.
Are you this much dumb?
then I think , you should do ur research about charles and how many affair he had ..Diana was loyal to Charles and She loved Charles truly but when she understood that seeking him won't help her to get him back and her marriage is drowning .. She searched for love from others but nobody stood for her@@madeleinegrayson8372
@@madeleinegrayson8372 it’s not Diane’s fault that she didn’t have the opportunity to also fall in love with someone else before she married him.

@@genxx2724 she opened her legs all on her own. With two kids at home to boot.
Wait a minute…, call the news stations and newspapers, Charles just learned Diana is unhappy in their marriage.
And just now realized what causes the strife to disappear or ease up are due to his actions, at least in part if not in their entirety, has to do with his own actions and/behaviors.
And that there are direct and indirect consequences to those he loves.
2:42 lmfao Camilla
Did King Charles III wear his watch on his right wrist then in the 1980s when he was Prince Charles or is it just the way how Josh O'Connor wears his watch?
Or the image is inversed.
he could be left handed
The actress captured the whinging essence of Diana. Both are grating.
I can't stand this version of Diana. She's tedious.

Okay Camilla! 😂
I was in Walgreens today and I saw the Enquirer with the headlines that King Charles III has Pancreatic Cancer..Buckingham Palace keep saying that it is Cancer but wouldn’t say what Cancer..Now someone has told the TRUTH 😮

Role reversal real life ?
I really think that they could've done a better job casting young Diana. That wig was so bad and distracting.
Was this spoiled, self-centered privileged but neglected young man. The other was a privileged self-centered very immature girl. Not a recipe for harmony.
This looks more like America.
This actor is acting so naively that I am afraid of sympathizing with charles soon
Bare in mind that this is just a fictional tvv show, jn reality charles did love her but not romantically, it was arranged and nobody should be forced to love someone romantically, he loved as a little sister
Yeah, we have to remember that he is a Monster, a Supervillain, even 26y after the blonde Angel's death.
@@susivarga7303 he is not strong enough to play a supervillain. too weak and pathetic for that role.
She is not the lady Diana, and he is not prince Charle. They are just acters.
😢
Charles would have never said I love you to Diana. He said whatever love means in public. In private there is no way he would have talked Abt love not with diana anyway
