Without the relentless glare of fame blinding them both, they might have had a fighting chance but put the press and the public in the mix and you get the horror of what happened in 1997.
William said all what needed to be said to Charles about Diana. It was his fault, he should have loved his wife and stayed faithful. All the money and influence in the world and you’re blessed with a beautiful, vulnerable, intelligent and caring wife and you cheat on her until it’s painfully aware that you don’t love her for continuing to hurt her.
The Affair with Camilla.... led to the divorce..that led to her seeking love and companionship in relationships with other men...that led to the tragic accident in Paris...
Well, if you want to make that connection, you could then blame the queen for all this. If the royal family had allowed Charles to marry Camilla from the get-go, he wouldn't have had to choose Diana.
How shameful that Harry was left out on this, and William upstage Harry when the queen asked for only William’s opinion of charles marrying that woman.
Because Harry was too young. William is the future King and the oldest son. They put William in an adults position and ignored Harry. Wrong on both counts.
Charles is to blame for Diana's death! If he had been faithful to her they would have never divorced. William is so right about Charles hating how everyone loved Diana and took the attention away from him. So proud of William for confronting Charles on his part in this.
But how do you know that? They were two very different people, Diana was very intellectually uncurious. Courtiers were apparently astonished by her lack of knowledge. Also, this show does leave out some things like when she was seeing Dr. Khan; he found her possessiveness suffocating. She would get angry when he wasn't able to take her phone calls because he was in the operating room performing surgery. People have to remember, this show is based off of real people and real situations but ultimately, is is historical FICTION
@sheilaeilers4363 still though it shows . William defending his beloved mother and he could of been angry at this time . He knew how unhappy, sad she was .
Diana had her own affairs as well. And many couple sometimes divorce for reasons that have nothing to do with fidelity. We have no guarantee Charles and Diana would have stayed married if Camilla wasn't in the picture. At the end of the day, Diana made her own choice, and agreed to the divorce. Just like she made the choice to hook up with Dodi.
Charles got his rottweiler in the end, but I don't think she makes him happy. I think that he always looks haunted and sad. He has learned one of life's harshest lessons: The grass is VERY RARELY greener on the other side.
Charles asked Camilla to marry him when she was still single but she didn't think she could cope with being in the Royal family . He loved her from early on . Diana was chosen to be his wife because she had no previous history . A match doomed from the start . Remember this series is partly fiction for entertainment . I adored Diana and mourned her death but I am glad to see King Charles happy and it's obvious he and Queen Camilla are very happy together . Old lady in the UK . Best regards to you ❤
I agree with William here. There have been too many royal conspiracies to take family members out of the picture like brothers fighting for the throne. And this got proven right when it didn’t take long for Camilla to enter the family after the Queen's death
At the end of the day, Charles could have firmly said “no” to his grandmother and parents who arranged this doomed marriage with Diana. So all of this was his doing. Not marrying Charles very well would have sparred Diana from her bulimia, suicide attempts and the tragic car crash.
KC3 has never been held accountable for the many events caused by his selfishness, insecurity. His terrible treatment of Princess Diana. After all, he was the heir to the throne. With his position & power he wielded to get whatever he wanted.
And this is all true and Charles knows it, Diana loved him. That woman never wanted a divorced. The three things she loved was the monarchy, her kids and her husband.
Gross. It feels so dirty and gross to recreate and watch a representation of a family’s most intimate struggles with no knowledge or right to it. That desire is truly what killed her.
I think Charles does. Camilla does from time to time, but one of the things that Charles probably likes about Camilla (aside from the fact that he shouldn’t like her which is 90% of her appeal) is she doesn’t feel overly weighed down by her sins. And she encourages him not to either. She’s got a sense of duty (unlike Meghan, and she’s far more successful at her longterm task), but she’s not bogged down like the heavy Scorpio that Charles is. I do believe he is still paralyzed by Diana. Even though Camilla lightens his burdens. He knows we will never forgive his choices.
@LouiseAndersen1991 " she told me many times that she loved him ,wether he did is another matter . Kenwolfe " if you watch that peice of footage . Are you in love sir." What ever love means. Diana looks at him as if to say what are you talking about . Don't you know what love is. " paul burell
And people bash Harry for leaving, he had real life trauma dealing with what happens when a woman isnt protected from the media. He did right by Megan and his family and his mother. If no one else is proud of him I sure am for breaking this generation trauma cycle. All of it is the queens fault she couldve let Charles marry Camilla in the first place and dealt with the fall out as she had to do anyway. and just maybe Diana would still be here living a happy life.

It is vile he knew full well he was going to be an adulterer while marrying someone naive enough not to instantly realize it. His intentions were calculated, devious, yet he knew she had to be innocent. Charles and Camilla disgust me. His charity works, etc. evaporate in light of his lifetime of self centeredness. William was only 15 years old when Diana died, Just imagine how awful it must have been for him back then, and how long it took for him to stop actively mourning her. Frankly, I don't know if he has stopped, or can stop. She raised him for the most part, and was taken away from him and Harry far too soon.
This scene hits hard! Charles was part of a horrible chain of events that culminated in Diana's death, chiefly him throwing a tantrum about her keeping her HRH status which she deserved as mother of the future King of England. Because of his childish demands that she be stripped of her royal status, she lost royal protection so for him to go on about wanting her to have police protection is absurd. William dropped so many truth bombs here, Charles was staggered. I truly believe this conversation happened in real life, probably more brutal and I think Harry went at Charles too at some point as he well deserved for his part in the mess of his and Diana's marriage. The one thing I will give Charles is that he finally stood up to the Queen where it concerned bringing Diana's body back and treating her with the dignity she deserved.
Everyone else who leaves the RF loses pretty much everything they gained through their marrige - including HRH - so why should Diana be any different, simply because she was the mother to William?
@@AndyBluebear-fi9om Fergie wasn't the mother of the future king so losing her status wasn't a big issue. Diana should never have lost hers. Both women made terrible choices in men for sure but as I said, Charles was surely part of the terrible chain of events that led to Diana's death.
@@LouiseAndersen1991 It is because of Diana that the next King of England was born. I think that she deserved to remain an HRH based on that fact and the fact that she had to sleep with a man who did not want to be with her but did so out of duty. I can't imagine living in that kind of hell...
@@LouiseAndersen1991 Also, the Queen was not initially opposed to her keeping her HRH status as part of the divorce settlement. Charles was the one who threw a temper tantrum about it and she gave in to shut him up. Talk about a dysfunctional group of people...
Charles should've stayed married to Diana for the boys sake. Charles wanted things to go his way. William was right, Diana is dead because of Charles. That princess deserved better 😢💔
Charles should’ve stayed married to Diana for HIS sake. 90% of their problems were her being 20 years old and learning to handle the weight of the monarchy and fame. She adapted as no other, and if he could’ve hung in there through her dramatic early twenties, she would’ve given him a great life.
I personally agree with Prince Harry for leaving the whole thing behind by moving Himself, Megan and Archie to California. I saw as im sure Prince Harry saw that they were treating Megan in much the same way as they treated Diana. Im not saying that they have since handled the situation well. The interview with Opra was a mistake and their children will pay for it. Charles and William will never forgive him and thats a shame because we only have a short time on this earth and it shouldn't be spent estranged from family. I do understand his reasons though
I don’t like that they made Charles seem so intelligent and nuanced. He isn’t. He honestly believes his bathwater helps the plants grow. I’m not joking. He stated this.
All the comments here agreeing that Charles' actions caused Diana's death are astounding... Charles is responsible for his actions and Diana was responsible for hers. She was not a child devoid of agency. But most importantly, Henri Paul was responsible for his when he took control of that car knowing he was under a heavy influence.
Williams status is rising and so is his power and authority within the firm - both Charles and Camilla need to duck for cover due to their abhorrent behavior in the past Harry has bee very vocal but William has played the long game
The crazy thing about Diana's death, is that she was not immediately taken to the hospital. I don't think the crash was a planned event, but it was always suspicious to me that Diana wasn't taken to the hospital immediately after being removed from the car.
Did the crown cover the fact that Charles and Diana were good friends in the year that she died, and that he had invited her to balmoral that summer and she had accepted? She was due to go there after the Paris trip. ….or did they make up their own version of events?
I always felt it's just made up story the car accident the drunk driver. I totally agree with William ,i always felt like this how William felt . I feel sooo sad for her death . I wish she would have been alive so that I could see her charm her greatness.
The world was never going to accept Camilla as long as Diana was alive. With her death, it opened up the ability for him to marry "the other one." And for her to finally end up Queen, despite his mum's declaration that she be titled Queen-Consort. Notice that he wasted no time throwing that out the window. I have to wonder if the reason the royal family has pushed back on this show so much is because it hits a little too close to home.
There was no conspiracy. It was an accident. To think otherwise is completely unreasonable. Charles behaved badly and then so did Diana. It was an ill fated marriage. If you want to blame anyone (in addition to the drunk driver and Diana not wearing a seatbelt), blame the paparrazzi who were chasing the car.
But Charles’s action even before the wedding put everything in motion. Diana was responding as best she knew how. Charles and that wicked woman are the one that history is going to look negatively upon.
@mitchminer2031 They were courted and their hands were tied up the end. What happened happened and it can't be changed, but putting the blame on any of the both of them isn't fair on them nor their William and Harry. The people to blame are really the paparazzi and the driver that was plastered drunk.
I know this is a series, but shhhhhhhoot if this conversation tooked place... **cheff's kiss** We all know William is just the correct one to let Charles HAVE IT! Very satisfaying to think this could've happened.
This is one of the only scenes in the Diana era that I think actually might’ve happened. I do believe Charles grieved deeply. And of course it was his fault. She would never have been in Paris if he hadn’t made her so unhappy. She gave the monarchy everything, and Charles knows it. To this day. I’m sure he still sees Diana in his dreams, regretting everything.
William was 💯 percent right man Charles was chasing that old bird while he had a beautiful wife who had two beautiful boys and all he cared about was that old ostrich
What other connection could have possibly been made?Come on, Charles. The only one you're fooling is yourself. The public may not be able to see everything behind the scenes. But please don't think that we're stupid.
Camilla De Ville deserves to only be a footnote in history- if that! SHE was the reason Diana wound up in that crash. If she had not interfered with their marriage it would be completely different today.
To me it’s ridiculous and disgusting that Charles is so selfish that he expects Harry and William to accept respect and love Camilla just because he does he had an affair with Camilla divorced Diana to be with her and acts like he done nothing wrong . He keeps saying it was Diana choice. It was his choice to have an affair it was his choice to to put his selfish desires over his family it was his chose to divorce Diana. The divide in the family the pain and resentment that they have for him and for Camilla lays at his feet
Honestly the last two seasons felt like they were paid off to paint Charles in a flattering light. The end of the episode has Phillip basically talking William into believing he’s actually mad at Diana for leaving them and because she chose to go going to Paris. The last two seasons were garbage.
I truly hope William and/or Harry told him about himself this way! His relentless pursuit of a married woman while BEING married, led to the entire situation.
I’ve been wondering lately now that Prince William is getting closer to be the next King, would he investigate the death of Princess Diana? (IF he does, I hope he’ll ask Prince Harry to join him). For the fact that in one of the documentary of that night, one of the EMS mentioned that when he was helping Princess Diana, she was still breathing n once he found out that she passed away, he was surprised bcz he felt that that the Princess was going to be ok. I hope he will. I know it’s going to open the old wound but it’ll be worth it. Forever be missed Queen of people’s heart Princess Diana.

The house of Windsor is very well known for locking up true facts. When Queen Victoria died all the letter she exchanged with John Brown were taken and locked away so that they would never see the light of day.
Even the serrving King Charles played by an actor can't argue THAT much to his son the current Prince of Wales' argument against him regarding his beloved late mother's untimely death... he can't fully deny that there is some truth in it amongst the Prince's other accusations towards his Royal Father.
I agree with William she should’ve been more faithful to his mother he should’ve treated her right but it is not his fault that Diana died it was her decision to love someone else after the divorced and the driver should’ve never got in the car with alcohol 🍺 in his system
Charles has always been a selfish, weak little man but what is not often reported is that at the time of her death Charles and Diana were on good terms and they often had tea together.and attended events at their children’s school together.
The way they treated the princess was disgusting ' she wasn't perfect but she didn't deserve to die that way ' then to make it worst she's dying and these rats ' paparazzi taking photos instead of helping her

Did she really?
@@AndyBluebear-fi9om Lord knows
@@user-oi4sm8ly6u I guess we never will, unless some secret diary of Diana's shows up.
@@AndyBluebear-fi9om I think Diana idealized the man Charles could have been, should have been if his relationships with his parents had been on more stable ground. She craved a strong, attentive father figure, he yearned for a warm, cossetting mother figure so the disaster of their marriage was set in motion from Act I Scene I. Neither could give the other what they needed, though I think they did try.
William was right! His father is the blame! Charles is in denial!
Blame for what? Drunk driver? Her screwing around? Her holidaying with another man instead of her children?
Well, if you want to make that connection, you could then blame the queen for all this. If the royal family had allowed Charles to marry Camilla from the get-go, he wouldn't have had to choose Diana.
Neither Charles nor Diana was blameless in that marriage. But blaming him for her death is a stretch.
William was right 100% and Charles of course made it about him and how he felt
How shameful that Harry was left out on this, and William upstage Harry when the queen asked for only William’s opinion of charles marrying that woman.
Because Harry was too young. William is the future King and the oldest son. They put William in an adults position and ignored Harry. Wrong on both counts.
@@Rebecca-n7n william was the closest to diana .
Bcz Harry doesn’t matter
Why ask the Spare???
Because Diana was his mother too. Seems only those that wear the crown are the ones that count.
Man up, Charles!
Once you eliminate the impossible whatever remains is the truth

Charles is to blame for Diana's death! If he had been faithful to her they would have never divorced. William is so right about Charles hating how everyone loved Diana and took the attention away from him. So proud of William for confronting Charles on his part in this.
It’s Netflix. You do know this never happened? It’s fake 🤦♀️
She also could have said no
@sheilaeilers4363 still though it shows .
Best regards to you ❤
As Erma Bombeck said - The grass is always greener over the septic tank.
@@99fruitbat94This is simply not true. He NEVER asked Camilla to marry him. In fact he had several mistresses at once throughout the years.
People forgetting this is a fictional Netflix show loosely based on factual events
If William and his dad had this discussion, I would not be at all surprised,
I agree with William here. There have been too many royal conspiracies to take family members out of the picture like brothers fighting for the throne. And this got proven right when it didn’t take long for Camilla to enter the family after the Queen's death
You mean after the Queen Mother's death
@@Thierry_Nawar she was the one against Camilla from the start.
He didn’t deserve to be crowned as king. Yet he made his mistress queen which is even worse.
At the end of the day, Charles could have firmly said “no” to his grandmother and parents who arranged this doomed marriage with Diana. So all of this was his doing. Not marrying Charles very well would have sparred Diana from her bulimia, suicide attempts and the tragic car crash.
No balls. He must regret not having kids with Camilla, instead stuck with the kids from the forced marriage.
Diana could have also said no as well.
@@AndyBluebear-fi9om Charles was the adult. He knew this wasn't the right thing for either of them.
@@Nedsdag She was an adult as well.
She was 19. Little more than a child
What an incredible scene.
Then why did you click on the clip?
I wonder if Camilla and Charles ever think about the misery they have caused others. I just wonder
doubt it.
Way to go william 👏.
Charles your son is right . Had you just loved her . She wouldn't of been dead .
She did not love him either
Oh right because we can now just decide to be in love with someone lol
@frname7665 " my mother loved him and he turned her back on her . Yeah that fits diana .
@LouiseAndersen1991 " she told me many times that she loved him ,wether he did is another matter . Kenwolfe
" if you watch that peice of footage . Are you in love sir." What ever love means. Diana looks at him as if to say what are you talking about . Don't you know what love is. " paul burell
@LouiseAndersen1991 " she told me many times ,wether he did is another matter. Ken wolfe
I appreciate the diverse perspectives shared in the comments section. It is important to acknowledge that we have all made mistakes and have flaws. Instead of passing judgment because you don’t know what really happened you don’t know the conversations. This is just a TV show.
Good for you, William. Good for you.
If Diana hadn’t married Chuck, she would be married to someone who loves her. She would have about 4 beautiful kids.
But it was her destiny to marry Charles, to love him and have children with him and completely change the world. An anonymous aristocrat wasn’t her destiny.
It's true. Charles is guilty.
No he is not. Charles is guilty of being a bad husband to her, and she was an even worse wife to him. But he is not at fault for killing her - at all, and it´s crazy that people still can´t see it
@@LouiseAndersen1991 Diana was an utterly devoted and faithful wife to Charles until she got wind of Camilla, who'd being hanging around the entire marriage. Charles was the worst spouse in this!
Your delusional . Ever heard of the way ahead group, the WAG?
@@zzzbbbooo No she was not 🤣 Diana was just as bad as Charles - if not worse. She certainly cheated a lot more than him and had a lot more affairs than him
Personally I think prince Charles had something to do with her death because she wrote a letter on how she will die and he was written as the accuser
@jokodihaynes419 well Diane was actually seeing someone else in France or Italy I do think when Charles was seeing that other woman sorry I forgot her name lol
ofc he did
That was because Martin Bashir LIED to her & told her that everyone she trusted was complicit with Charles in order to get the panorama interview with her. BBC has admitted it. Diana gave up her security as a result. Muhammad Alfyed is responsible for Diana’s death. His driver, his car, his hotel security, his son.
What utter rubbish.
@shanebyford-m5v Camilla. And she came in to the family 2 weeks after the Queen Elizabeth died. Charles had planned all this.
Camilla fits no where in this world.
Fergie lost her status and didn't die.
Diana made her choice to hook up with Dodi.
So right what he said
I personally agree with Prince Harry for leaving the whole thing behind by moving Himself, Megan and Archie to California.
It is too hard to take Charles seriously here bc of his actor via Johnny English AKA Simon
Did you miss the part WHERE HE SAID THEY HAD JUST PATCHED UP THEIR RELAITONSHIP?
Im lucky im not a kid of divorce. If I was Williams i think i would have thrown hands 😂
This scene is so powerful.
I always felt it's just made up story the car accident the drunk driver. I totally agree with William ,i always felt like this how William felt . I feel sooo sad for her death . I wish she would have been alive so that I could see her charm her greatness.
Charles definitely did plan sonething in Diana's death
That’s his karma. He didn’t truly love Diana, until his last breath no one will love him as well, not the same way as people loved Diana and her kids.
Diana was encouraged to marry Charles simply to produce an heir,Camilla was always the love of his life
There was no conspiracy.
@@mitchminer2031 Nah, most people got over it and moved on.
Blame Diana for alerting them. Blame Henri Paul for taking money from them.
It’s unreasonable not to think she was murdered in a fake car accident when Diana predicted it and he did them marry horse faced Camilla! 😢
Or was this just a conversation that needed to happen to have some healing. Nobody is blameless or totally to blame.
or its full of truth. Had Charles not acted the way he did, this wouldn't have happened.
I know this is a series, but shhhhhhhoot if this conversation tooked place... **cheff's kiss** We all know William is just the correct one to let Charles HAVE IT! Very satisfaying to think this could've happened.
I think William and Harry are both well aware. Something else happened here.
Diana's children, are not by Charles..
if my father would have done what Charles did to Diana - I think I would have reacted the same way.
But please don't think that we're stupid.
for this charles chap, delulu is solulu
Camilla De Ville deserves to only be a footnote in history- if that! SHE was the reason Diana wound up in that crash. If she had not interfered with their marriage it would be completely different today.
This was Charles fault because he could have given Diana love and happiness but no he had to pick the devil
"Well if you want to make that connection that's your right" nah don't go gaslighting your son like that m8
Those clocks would really annoy me..
Lets remember this is a tv show
It was Charles! Such a weak man!
The divide in the family the pain and resentment that they have for him and for Camilla lays at his feet
he had other affairs besides camilla. at least one long term
Honestly the last two seasons felt like they were paid off to paint Charles in a flattering light. The end of the episode has Phillip basically talking William into believing he’s actually mad at Diana for leaving them and because she chose to go going to Paris. The last two seasons were garbage.
Complete fiction. This is a drama not real life
The truth is probably worse.
The fact that Charles yearned for Camila while married to Diana sickens me.
Yeh ouch. It hurts when you love someone but the whole time they prefer someone else who not even that pretty anymore.
I always thought it was Camilla that did it.
I truly hope William and/or Harry told him about himself this way! His relentless pursuit of a married woman while BEING married, led to the entire situation.
Yes William accuses Charles of Diana’s death 😢👎🏻😳🤬😡
The Royal Family life is one big soap opera, stranger then fiction, if you didnt see it play out in real life, you would never had believed it.
I don't even think they talk like this in real life like this conversation I don't think this conversation happened
Her death was always a mystery
That nasty Camilla is to blame too. It disgusts me that she is referred to as queen.
Well done you
There is more to this issue than they are saying they are holding back on a lot more stuff and not letting the public know the truth about Diane princess of Wales what really happened.
She died because Martin Bashir LIED to her & told her that everyone she trusted was complicit with Charles in order to get the panorama interview with her. IT WAS A LIE. Diana gave up her security as a result. William has come out publicly & blamed Bashir & the BBC. BBC has admitted it. Muhammad Alfyed is responsible for Diana’s death. His driver, his car, his hotel security, his son.
The house of Windsor is very well known for locking up true facts. When Queen Victoria died all the letter she exchanged with John Brown were taken and locked away so that they would never see the light of day.
I know what happend, if you are refering to her death. Princess Diana was assassinated by western Intelligence and I can tell you how.
Actually Charles had a choice to love our queen but instead he chose a devil
So everyone's against arranged marriages, unless we're talking about Charles.
I pray William did bring thisvyo his attention. Charles phuck u from all us woman who suffered same crap heart breaking
I wonder what kind of co-parenting Charles and Diana would have done had she lived
Charles has always been a selfish, weak little man but what is not often reported is that at the time of her death Charles and Diana were on good terms and they often had tea together.and attended events at their children’s school together.
McNulty?? What are you doing here 😭?
The way they treated the princess was disgusting ' she wasn't perfect but she didn't deserve to die that way ' then to make it worst she's dying and these rats ' paparazzi taking photos instead of helping her
Very drunk driver speeding, clipped another car and went airborne. If only they wore seatbelts.
