This is my favorite Laguna Beach episode. Not even because of the drama that happened, but the scene with Dieter and Lauren always stuck with me. this scene was everything to me because it showed how real it was. i truly believe when Deiter was holding LC and saying "hold it hold it you got it" It made me feel like they all knew what they were signing up for in terms of having their lives filmed however they didnt know what it would entail however they would sit together discussing what to say what not to say how to act how now to act which obviously not everyone will follow to the tea but that scene where you can really feel real emotion is that lauren was gonna really cry and break down but Deiter being a good friend was like "hold it, remember your on camera, you dont want to be that person that has a crying meltdown on tv" THAT is what i got from that scene. That made me realize how the show is more produced than reality but man I could go on all day about how i think Laguna Beach and The Hills is the most educational coming of age docurealtiy show that needs to be taught !!! honestly. I am so grateful for every single one of yall who put yourself out there for the world to see and honestly its so real, if you watch it with the right lens. each one of the cast has taught me something that i took and applied to my life and has made my life more fulfilled and more self aware,, or just aware in general. I know im late to commenting but hey life. LC Stephan and Kristen are the 3 best honestly yall are my cyber family
Can we give it up for Lauren and how she managed to remain composed and finish the fashion show even though she just went through that, props to her. Very mature. Alsoooo When i watched this episode I remembered the episode of the Hills when Lauren was telling Whitney about Jason and she was describing this episode about what he did... Also Go Deter!
I love hearing what Stephen has to say, and he's really good at breaking down/analyzing the episodes, but he just talks for long periods of time and it gets exhausting.
I love Stephen dearly but he takes control of these episodes even the ones he’s not in . Kristen should be doing season 2 cuz Stephen was in college then.
Does anyone know how Heidi was in Laguna beach like I know she met Lauren there but did her family move there for a while cause in the hills they live in Colorado..
I swear when Lauren and Jason are talking behind that curtain they add a wild line in that sounds like jessica not lauren saying "then why cant you just be happy with me" anyone hear this?
@LM KK Definitely!! Just like Kristin said if you don't see someone's mouth moving its Definitely a wild line. Crazy to think this show is like 80% wild lines 😳
I’m shocked Trey wasn’t seemingly sought after on the show. Maybe he was irl but not on the show which is surprising to me because he’s so interesting!
Lauren was mature and really loved how she handled the situation - I wasn't surprised she held her own because of the way she carries herself, she seems to be someone who wouldn't put up with bs.
I was thinking this too when Jordan or Brian said it on the other podcast. Kristin used her fame to launch a successful career and Heidi married Spencer and became a villain on reality shows. I feel like that’s the difference between having true confidence and sticking to your values, as Kristin did, vs. only seeking fame and losing yourself in Hollywood
After all these years Kristin is still so fucking gorg 😍 appears to have almost no plastuc surgery. As a Dad to a young daughter this is great to see from our female role models in pop culture.

This episode always bothered me. It was 100 percent on Jason. I always felt bad for Jessica because she clearly still had feelings for him and he treated her like crap and then all the sudden was giving a new girl all the time and attention he never gave her so how did anyone expect her to react when he kissed her? Steven puts the work in, dang!🤗
I totally agree with you he really does the research, such an eye for detail it amazes me! Always gives a panoramic view and then some
Stephen
Listening to y'all talk about this episode I had to go back and watch it and that's what I am doing now lol! I watched every episode from Laguna Beach and the Hills!! Loved it then and now! I also loved when Lauren came on and how you guys set everything straight!! XO
Jessica was the definition of an airhead but I think she just acted that way as a defense mechanism
Wasn’t she a bit younger then the rest of the cast?
I have loved Kristen since I was a teen. My heart is so happy listening to this podcast 😊
I loved this episode. It really did feel real. Lauren was great and handled herself so well.
this scene was everything to me because it showed how real it was. i truly believe when Deiter was holding LC and saying "hold it hold it you got it" It made me feel like they all knew what they were signing up for in terms of having their lives filmed however they didnt know what it would entail however they would sit together discussing what to say what not to say how to act how now to act which obviously not everyone will follow to the tea but that scene where you can really feel real emotion is that lauren was gonna really cry and break down but Deiter being a good friend was like "hold it, remember your on camera, you dont want to be that person that has a crying meltdown on tv" THAT is what i got from that scene.
Ahh finally! I've been refreshing YT all morning!
Me too😅
First thing I check after work. Lol. Lame but true.
Thanks for recording this live
I still love laguna beach bur holy moly, Stephen really needs to let Kristin speak or just dive in to the episode😅
Can we have a live episode where we as viewers can ask questions or give our thoughts
I loved Dieter in this episode. He's such a great friend.
🥃 every time Stephen says “IRL” 😅
I love hearing what Stephen has to say, and he's really good at breaking down/analyzing the episodes, but he just talks for long periods of time and it gets exhausting.
I feel the same way! I feel like they could’ve went more in-depth on this episode, but Stephen dominated the conversation pretty much the whole time.
Same! I wish Kristin would narrate the episode sometimes, cause Stephen gets long winded sometimes and it gets exhausting lol
I don’t mind Stephen getting into it! I think he provides good insight😊
I like Stephen’s insights! I guess ya can’t please everyone.
He just needs Kristin to get a word in as well. I feel like he takes over the entire conversation.
One way to help these podcasts be a little better is to show clips before you talk about them. Just short snippets. But overall, super well done
This episode was classic! I felt so bad for Lauren.
Kristin seems a little mellow here compared to normal 🤷♀️
He did grab the back of Jessica's head and pulled her to him.
This is the episode I'm here for
I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE!!!!
I was excited for the 2nd season Cabo episode and this episode lol
My waterworks moment. I was so invested in their relationship.
I love Stephen dearly but he takes control of these episodes even the ones he’s not in . Kristen should be doing season 2 cuz Stephen was in college then.
I’m cracking up hearing Kristen talk about her only musical hope coming out of Europe 💀. I want to hear this song !
Kristen seems annoyed in this episode not as chipper as usual
She's probably thinking, shut up and let me talk too Stephen!
We need to know if you guys will be back after this season.
They weren’t in the 3rd season though so what would they cover?
@@MySTiCTiNKeRBeLL yea same thoughts. They can tell us about the weather and stuff while I sip my coffee. I'd still tune in.
They can’t remeber and here’s he remebering every word like I was there 😂
Best episode! Should of had Jessica and Jason on!!!!
Does anyone know how Heidi was in Laguna beach like I know she met Lauren there but did her family move there for a while cause in the hills they live in Colorado..
Heidi met Lauren in San Francisco. They came back for spring break or summer or something.
Heidi said she stayed with Lauren’s family for a bit
They met in college in San Francisco. Lauren was in college in the 2nd season
I swear when Lauren and Jason are talking behind that curtain they add a wild line in that sounds like jessica not lauren saying "then why cant you just be happy with me" anyone hear this?
Agreed, it sounded like Jessica!
There were MANY more wild lines on this episode (and that scene) that they didn't even talk about
I think that whole scene of them talking behind the curtains were wild lines because you never really see their mouths in that scene
@@immisstee4 YESS!! I thought the exact same thing. even what Jason says before about being obsessed with her. You can't see his mouth
He was just a rich hippie. Nothing fascinating about to me….see them all the time.
@@pistachiosandpopcorn7146 He was really into volunteering and seemed down to earth
yup, its super common, and most of them eventually turned out to be woke nightmares@@pistachiosandpopcorn7146
Ah the infamous episode.
Lauren was mature and really loved how she handled the situation - I wasn't surprised she held her own because of the way she carries herself, she seems to be someone who wouldn't put up with bs.
Its so crazy to know now that Heidi s dream was to be like Kristin
She even have her same haircut
I was thinking this too when Jordan or Brian said it on the other podcast. Kristin used her fame to launch a successful career and Heidi married Spencer and became a villain on reality shows. I feel like that’s the difference between having true confidence and sticking to your values, as Kristin did, vs. only seeking fame and losing yourself in Hollywood
i think you guys should play the clips if you can
After all these years Kristin is still so fucking gorg 😍 appears to have almost no plastuc surgery. As a Dad to a young daughter this is great to see from our female role models in pop culture.
Oh come on guys. Jason kissed Jessica first
Kristin, need your tank top details!!
This is my favorite episode! 🤩
I always wondered what the lyrics were...somewhere dead in Hollywood. I enjoyed the song.
Damn it's called 'Somewhere Dead in Hollywood'? Kinda dark for a bunch of teenagers to be chanting.
@ct6852 that's what I thought too. Hopefully it means something else. And not the way we are taking it but then again...
This and Whitney’s reactions videos are the best…. I don’t know about that other podcast lol! They’re just not honest!!! Ugh
I think they've mostly honest...until it comes to something that incriminates them. Lol.
Not saying you have to but I hope you guys do 50 episodes total with the last 2 episodes of the show, 3 more bonus fan voicemail episodes, 2 more guests (Lo Bosworth and Taylor Cole??) and a final episode to close the podcast just as my suggestion :)
Please please...watch The Hills and give assessments...and bring on guests as well...i just want your thoughts and obersavations on those...you guys have wonderful insight...its so great to hear these observationsas you watch with your adult eyes...that sounded but weird...but i think it makes sense lol...This podcast is my positive pod cast between my murder/true crime podcasts lol
Kristen definitely could...but don't think Stephen would join. He wouldn't have much to talk about. He was only on part of one episode. And that was before Kristen took over.
Kristin did not seem into this episode at all
hard to know cause Stephen barely lets her talk
Knowing that talan dropped out of school to pursue musics makes more sense of everyone’s reaction. Haha
This episode made Lauren a star she was so strong In this episode
Alex sang her song Hello😊
I love that song so much I added it to my iTunes
@@MySTiCTiNKeRBeLL It's a great song! I didn't like Trey's song, but I LOVED Alex's song and think it didn't get the credit it deserved!
Stephen talks 20 mins straight and all I'm here for is Kristin. Man shut up let her talk she's smarter more interesting and focused. Gosh
Kristin looks so ❤🔥 always beautiful
Lauren even said something to Deiter about being mean to Jessica bc it was more Jason than Jessica! #respect
This episode always bothered me. It was 100 percent on Jason. I always felt bad for Jessica because she clearly still had feelings for him and he treated her like crap and then all the sudden was giving a new girl all the time and attention he never gave her so how did anyone expect her to react when he kissed her? If someone you are heartbroken over does that you aren't going to worry about their new girlfriend. I never blamed Jessica. ONLY Jason.
