They don't tear Lauren down in Was it Real podcast. They are really just sharing their experience with Lauren. Everyone has different experiences, I can have a great friend that has been an amazing person in my life but someone else can look at my friend and say they were horrible to them. Sobriety looks absolutely amazing on Jason! I remember watching the show when it originally aired and had no idea he was an addict or that anything was amiss during LB. But obviously, it was clear during "The Hills," especially when they touched on him being in rehab. It's absolutely amazing that he's not only been able to turn his life around but to go a step beyond and help others on their own journeys. Congratulations Jason! 🎉

Love hearing Jason's story. For me, seeing folks get sober and have their lives improve immeasurably is one of the greatest motivators to staying sober.
Can I just say how very proud I am of Jason? Recovery isn't easy. I am 3 years, 4 months sober myself and I know how difficult it is. I'm also a recovering alcoholic and it's so interesting to watch back this show now, knowing how to spot addiction and its consequences. You can see Jason was struggling even back during LB. He's been a fighter since such a young age. Imagine having to get sober at 23 being pretty well-known and in that community. Its hard at 23 just because of the partying aspect, everyone you know drinks. So happy for him.

Wow great episode. This Jason and the one we got on Laguna seem like entirely different people. Props for accessing that vulnerability and truth in sharing. I know it's helpful to people who maybe don't feel internally like they think they should. Everyone has their struggle. I also did the annoying handwashing OCD thing when I was a kid...self medicated later down the line. I played a lot of sports...have always wondered if the pressure from that maybe contributed. But anyways...it does get better with work...and even just letting go a bit. With less work, in a way? Thanks for being open. You don't owe us that...but it's still nice.
I hated Jason on Laguna and The Hills, but seeing him now be so mature and knowing what he went through and how he changed his life around, I have so much respect for him.
22:37 where he talks about getting on medication and then not doing the work. THAT is powerful. So many people think that medication is going to fix all of the problems, and then we get dependent on the medication instead of trying to find the root cause of our issues and dealing with past trauma.
So good to hear from Jason and his perspective on things and glad to see the man he's become. It's obvious that he's in a much better space in his life. He looks great. Awesome suff! ❤
That makes me so sad that Jason essentially had a fuzzy memory of 18-23 that’s such a monumental time. I give him so much props for coming out of it and seeing him today having a happy life
I recently had a friend pass away from suicide bc he also was struggling with recovery from addiction. I'm so happy for Jason and wish nothing but the best for him and his family. And I pray other people heal and recover
It’s amazing how. Jason shares all of this it takes a lot but so many people need to hear that especially people who are going through or went through the same thing
Such a nostalgic podcast! My fav episode so far. Massively appreciate the awareness around substance abuse. Super insightful and informative for everyone but more so young teens and young adults. Thank you Jason for your vulnerability and honestly. Proud of your sobriety journey 🫶🏼
This was so good to watch and Jason telling his story made me emotional because my sister has become a alcoholic and it’s tough to see her like that and not know how to help.
This was so nostalgic for me when the questions about the show were brought up. What an great episode ! Great interview & Jason congrats on your positive outcome & sobriety . You are a true inspiration . Also still a stud!
I love what Kristen said about not wanting to be the character they had made her. I feel like that is a lesson we all could take from this. How we all get stereotyped in some way, so we have to decide if we're the character we want to be or not, and what actions we need to take if we're not ❤
Irritating that Stephen kept referring to himself instead of letting Jason talk. This is an episode many people were waiting for to hear from Jason’s point of view
Somehow I just stumbled upon this. I had no idea that Steven and Kristin had a podcast….so cool! Now I have plenty to go back and listen to. It’s also pretty cool to see where Jason’s at in his life now.
22:29 That's actually really interesting because studies show SSRIs actually increase addictive behavior along with increasing alcohol cravings. Hearing him tell his story makes so much sense now.
I always love how Kristin just listens and lets guests TALK

But anyways...it does get better with work...and even just letting go a bit. With less work, in a way? Thanks for being open. You don't owe us that...but it's still nice.
I hated Jason on Laguna and The Hills, but seeing him now be so mature and knowing what he went through and how he changed his life around, I have so much respect for him.
We need more episodes ❤
22:37 where he talks about getting on medication and then not doing the work. THAT is powerful. So many people think that medication is going to fix all of the problems, and then we get dependent on the medication instead of trying to find the root cause of our issues and dealing with past trauma.
We need Jason back for a part two lol
So good to hear from Jason and his perspective on things and glad to see the man he's become. It's obvious that he's in a much better space in his life. He looks great. Awesome suff! ❤
I just lovet that you talked about his addiction, and that you listened him. And he is very relaxed here.
Amazing episode
That makes me so sad that Jason essentially had a fuzzy memory of 18-23 that’s such a monumental time. I give him so much props for coming out of it and seeing him today having a happy life
I recently had a friend pass away from suicide bc he also was struggling with recovery from addiction. I'm so happy for Jason and wish nothing but the best for him and his family. And I pray other people heal and recover
It’s amazing how. Jason shares all of this it takes a lot but so many people need to hear that especially people who are going through or went through the same thing
Absolutely loved this episode❤ hearing someone advocate for sobriety is so beautiful! Glad to be 10 years sober this year!
I LOVE Kristins laugh. This is the best !
I love how they all sound so different in my opinion, yet Stephen and Kristin still sound the same! love it!
Such a nostalgic podcast! My fav episode so far. Massively appreciate the awareness around substance abuse. Super insightful and informative for everyone but more so young teens and young adults. Thank you Jason for your vulnerability and honestly. Proud of your sobriety journey 🫶🏼
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS EPISODE. It was so interesting to hear. Happy for Jason
I still have so many questions unanswered! Wish they dove deeper into the Jessica/Alex drama
This was so good to watch and Jason telling his story made me emotional because my sister has become a alcoholic and it’s tough to see her like that and not know how to help.
When I tell y'all I have been waiting for this one 😍
So happy to see Jason happy and healthy!
I want to see a full reunion
Happy to see Jayson is doing great! I always liked him. ❤
kristen and steven are just great interviewers. very good at hosting.
So proud of Jason and how far he has come in his life. What a great Podcast!
Wow I love the Laguna beach ⛱️ show. I hope one day they can make a Laguna beach reunion series would be cool.
Its so incredible to see where Jason is now and what hes up to
what he said about lauren was so sweet. ❤
Finding this podcast, and this episode in particular, has made me exponentially happy!
I loooove THIS Jason so much ❤❤❤ Also, Kristin and Stephen make such a great team!!!
Such a great interview. Really glad Jason finally came on 😊. Glad he’s doing well!
Favorite episode by far! I didn't know how much I needed this in my life. Bless her heart😂
this podcast makes my heart smile 🥹🥰
