Yep, I think her high school self was very relatable to most girls.
She was also a year younger. She was so smart she skipped a grade.
I never dated in high school but if I had, regretfully, I would have probably acted like that 😬
Wish they would’ve asked Jessica about what’s going on currently in her life and what happened after she left high school - always curious how people ended up where they are.

I always felt bad for her. It was clear she struggled with self confidence. At the end of the day it was just high school and you realize it’s not the end of the world.
Jessica is a very cute girl but i can only imagine being 16-17, every girl in ur school is gorgeous. That’s tough to deal with especially if u have a bf with a wondering eye

She was actually so pretty aswell she just came across a bit insecure and kept going back to a guy who treated her like crap and her and Alex fight was ridiculous aswell considering Alex was flirting with Jason whilst jess was with Jason. But Jessica did lauren wrong with Jason
You can definitely tell that Jessica and Kristin are very much acquaintances and not really friends. They are just very different people but probably have much respect for each other in how they turned out.

Totally agree with everyone that Jessica is such a relatable person. More so than Kristin. A lot of people can relate to her high school guy drama and comparing yourself to friends and not feeling as pretty. I think fewer people can relate to Kristin getting any guy she wanted. 😂
yea but many of us admired Kristin like her honesty and bluntness could be refreshing
I remember that episode when Jessica said she wasn’t as pretty as Kristin and how Kristin could get any guy…I always thought Jessica was so pretty; she just needed more confidence.

My favorite part about season 2 was thr friendship between the 3 girls. My friends and i would quote their jokes all the time. Jessica was so relatable, glad shes doing well!

I always liked Jessica. My impression of her was always that girl who felt like she needed to fit in, and didn't think she was pretty enough. Felt like she lacked confidence, but I myself could relate to that when I was in high school since you're so young and naive. She always seemed genuine person though and a good friend to have.
This podcast is sooooo much better then the Hills podcast! They are always so genuine on here and truly love to be together talking about all this and owning up to everything, the good and the bad. This cast is just truly so genuine and i love watching Stephen and Kristin's banter with each other. You can tell that they were completely real 15 years ago and are still real now. ❤ this podcast so much!

Jessica was always my favorite. I related so much to her story. I actually bumped into her once at Disney and I totally fangirled so hard I think I cried. My family was very confused 😂😂 I’m glad she’s doing well 🫶🏻

Well it is his and Kristin's show, so unfortunately that's how it's gonna be. Perhaps follow some of the other cast mates if you don't like or agree with how their show runs!! Stephen is Stephen was the exact same way since day 1 laguna beach ❤

I love that they’ve done these. That show used to stress me out when it first aired and it’s so fun and refreshing to hear them discuss everything now that everyone has grown up and there’s no animosity. I love it!

They edit stuff out of the youtube version of the podcast. For instance, in the podcast (I listened on Spotify) at the 44:45 Spotify minute mark, they talk about their upcoming 20th reunion, Kristin asking if Stephen is going to go as her date, and him asking her if she'll give him a hug this time.
I love how positive this podcast is!
For us super fans of the show, there was an episode where Jessica’s mom was talking about how she should be more like Kristin and you could just tell she (Jessica) was about to cry. It was sad, her mom was not being empathetic at that time to her being in a very challenging situation and said that to her knowing good and well it was going to be shown on tv. That was hard to watch, as a now mom to daughters.
YES. that always made me so sad for Jessica.

Even though a lot of women were probably a Jessica at one point in their lives, I can honestly say I disliked her a lot on the show. She followed Jason around like a puppy and was okay with disrespecting Lauren and kissing him in front of her. It’s nice to see that she grew and moved on gracefully. It’s always good to learn from your mistakes and mature over time. Love to see the progress.

I don’t believe any of these cast members who say they haven’t seen LB since it aired 17 years ago. This show was when they were their hottest and gave them their big break. I wish someone would admit that they watch it once in a while
I was never featured on mtv and still I cringe when I watch videos of my teenage years. Why would they want to watch a show that manipulated the public view of them for pleasure? That would be weird.

I think they addressed this in Season 1 in that his parents weren't on board with the whole thing, and he was generally a shy guy so neither him or his parents wanted it

@@32ghostworld They were probably just more conservative and didn't think being on TV would be a good thing for him. Kind of like how there is no way Kristin would let her kids be on TV today (and why she doesn't show their faces on social media). Just a guess
The first 7 minutes of this was a waste of time. Like they didn't know what to ask Jessica. After taht it got better. And get Hot Sam in it already.
I agree, they havent done a breakdown of an episode with any other guests, theyve just been talking about everything overall. I wish they would have did that with Jessica.

Jessica was the most natural and relatable in the series, without her it would have been just a bunch of stuck up kids.

Why did Jessica and Kristin stopped talking after the show ended?
In the first episode of season 3, you see Jessica and the Alex's (I think? At least I know that Alex H was there) hanging out together, and they made it seem like Kristin had changed, Alex had moved out of their apartment, when I saw that episode I got the impression that they weren't friends anymore and were into different "scenes" in LA, I think Kristin wanted to be famous and Alex wanted to be normal. I thought I'd seen interviews with Alex too where she stated they no longer talked... but then for the podcast they acted like they kept in touch throughout the years? IDK it's confusing but watching this it definitely seems like something happened, to me at least, so weird that Jessica and Kristin haven't talked at all until recently.
People grow into different directions and friendships change. Especially after high school. Also you become friends with people in your proximity so it really makes sense that when you leave your hometown after high school you meet new people that are on the same path you are in and the distance with your old friends just sort of grows. It’s just a natural evolution.

Her story of how she met Jason through Tyler is interesting because there’s the LB scene where Jason and Tyler pull up in Tyler’s car to talk to the girls while they’re out shopping.
& then it continues on in Season 3 when Kyndra doesn’t get along with Jessica bc of Cameron.
I liked how they talked about how they weren’t really rich. I literally thought they were a bunch of rich kids!

I think she is the blonde girl who was with Jessica in Cabo on the trip where Jessica and Alex M get in the big argument/fight. She tried to tell Alex not to ruin their Cabo trip by confronting Jessica.

Don't get me wrong - I love Stephen. I just wish he would let people speak and share (especially when they're meeting the guest virtually). We have gotten the same input from him SO many times and i just wish he would be a good listener instead of waiting for someone to stop talking so he can start. I find this is where him and Kristin really differ; I think Kristen is an EXCELLENT listener. No hate to Stephen, though!! Just my opinion ❤
