- THE Fluffiest Pancakes Ever
DRY INGREDIENTS: Stir these together with a whisk
2 cups all purpose flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
WET INGREDIENTS: Whisk in a separate bowl
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until the dry ingredients are covered with the wet ingredients but DO NOT BEAT. It’s okay for this to have lumps. The lumps are crucial for the fluffiness. Let this rest for 10 minutes.
After the batter has set for 10 minutes, spray your griddle and set to 350°.
Use a 1/4 cup measure to scoop the batter onto the hot griddle. Cook for three minutes, then flip the pancakes over and cook for an additional two minutes.
This will make 10 to 12 pancakes.
Homemade Maple Syrup
1 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon maple flavoring
Put the water, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a sauce pan and bring to a full rolling boil. Boil for one minute. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and the maple flavoring.
Once the syrup has completely cooled, store in an airtight jar in your refrigerator and reheat as needed later.

We are married 53 years and 7 months. We LOVE pancakes. Jesus is our savior and has blessed our marriage all our years together. We were told we had a 5% chance of having children and God blessed us with a daughter and a son. Hubby has survived 2 brain bleeds and did not have any bad effects from them. God cleared up my lungs last year when I had what looked like spider webs over both upper lobes. The doctors did not know what it was, they knew it wasn't cancer or covid. After a year it is now gone. At the age of 39 I had a heart attack and survived it. I'm now 75. Thank you God for so many many blessings in our lives and for answered prayers. I pray people are encouraged by your words to seek God. My favorite verse is Matthew 6 :33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. I was 17 when I sought God, and I met my husband 2 years later. God has blessed me more than I say on this platform, as there is not enough room. Thank you God for your mercy, love, and salvation.
God is good all the time and all the time God is good! I totally understand that there is simply no way to list all the blessings from God! We really do appreciate that you are at the table with us. Thank you so much for being a part of our channel.
Amen!

My wife and I will hit 60 yrs this year (2024) and amen about Church.
I have been married 44 years almost 45 years
Congratulations on 60 years. My husband and I will celebrate our 61st anniversary on December 27, 2024.🥰🥰
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU!
Thanks Deb, for sharing this AWESOME pancake and syrup recipe!
Thank you also, Melissa and Tom for showing us how easy it is to enjoy cooking ❤ together!!
I pray that your relationships with JESUS CHRIST Of Nazareth are VERY Tight because, HE Is a serious Savior and LORD!!
Congratulations on the wonderful achievement of your marriages! It's quite an accomplishment! We appreciate all of you for watching our channel.
Thanks for the recipe my grandkids will love them. I am 62 and in June will be married for 43 years and I tell my husband that my body feels old but at heart I'm a teenager 😂. I totally agree the only thing greater then the family of God is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Amen!
Amen Jesus makes all the difference. It doesn’t matter how old we are.
Agree! I'm 77 and will never advance beyond 19 in my heart! God's richest blessings on you and your family!
Thank you all for your responses. We love hearing from each of you. We try hard to enjoy every day God has gifted us with. We have no promises for more days to live our best lives. So we believe we shouldn't waste any of them.
@@comesitatmytable9044 Yes! I tell everybody "He's coming in a minute!" referring to the Rapture! Blessings!
I agree with your comments about church. Fellowship is so important. Thanks for promoting church.
I’ve been married for 56 yrs. It’s hard to believe how times fly. 7 grandchildren and 3 great. I love having them over get tired but so worth it. God is good always.
I enjoy your videos and have made so many of the recipes. I’m a Christian also. Jesus is my savior, but he is also my friend. My life hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been good. I’m so thankful for the goodness of God. I’m also so grateful for parents that took me to church. I think the best thing they gave me was my faith. I know your children were blessed with Sunday School also. Thank you for all the great recipes.😊
As a Canadian, nope, it might be pancake syrup but it is not like pure Maple syrup. 🍁🍁🍁Thanks for the great pancake recipe.
Maybe many people can't afford pure maple 🍁 syrup 🙏
don't fall a sleep in church. ha
I hear ya. We're in the Northeast (New England) and calling that maple syrup would sure have tongues clacking around these parts! LOL I grew up in the South and never understood the difference between the two. When I moved to New England after getting married, I was "schooled" on it right quick! LOL It's kinda like telling a Southerner that Kraft Mac & Cheese is the same as or better than homemade! Ha! To be honest, I see nothing wrong with "pancake" syrup, especialy in this economy. But I have found that pure maple syrup tends to be cheaper up here, than it is in most other areas of the country, which is obviously due to how available it is. And... I have to admit that after having the real deal for so long now, I'd have a bit of a hard time getting used to the pancake syrup again. I guess we're pretty spoiled. Those pancakes sure look great, though!
Of course not...but it is good when you can't get pure maple...
Pure maple syrup is out of the average Americans budgets these days I am afraid!
Amen! Jesus has been the center of my husband, and my life together for 42 years. We wouldn't have it any other way. God bless you both. I love your channel.
Thank you so much for the kind words. We appreciate that you are watching, and we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has richly blessed us. We truly appreciate that you are at the table with us.
I agree on church when I have missed my life is not right
True. It makes the whole week go Better.❤😊
I was sitting home saying, "Where's the butter...wait....where's the butter?" lol I'm happy Tom remembered the butter.
But he forgot to put the vanilla in the batter!
@@cathyhanley8658 I was just going to say that. They must be amazing pancakes even without the vanilla.
@@marthakratz7877 That's what I was thinking! I'm definitely making these. The chocolate tea bread recipe is sooo good. Easy to make too.
That is the same recipe I have made for years ... the best! I drop blueberries on mine and my mom would brown sausage and sprinkle that on the pancakes before she flipped them... with nine children it sure stretched a pound of sausage out for our big family... so many good memories!
Yes, blueberries are the best in pancakes!
Ut Oh!!!..you forgot to put the vanilla in the wet ingredients...you will love em even more...
Love your channel..❤❤
Have a blessed Sunday..
I did forget the vanilla, but they were still absolutely delicious!😃
I’ve literally been craving pancakes…what a great recipe to try…pancakes can be made so many ways…can’t wait to try it!! Love the Aunt Jemimah story…it’s a shame what has happened to her beautiful image, but we still love and celebrate her…she was a great spokeswoman
Tom I appreciate offering us to go to church as I am unable to attend due to my condition , I so miss it dearly,. my pastor comes to visit with me and my family, I loss my wife, mother and oldest son in 1990, from an acholic child in the other vehicle, my late wife and us as a family lived at our local Nazarene until we had their resting prayers at the church, life has been rough but with his help I raised the rest of our 5 children, at 62 I get as much church I can from our local radion station, thank you, and im making those cakes by golly
Amen! Living life well is going to church but most of all getting to know Jesus Christ as our personal Savior! No greater thing! I love the recipe. I always enjoy your videos and your sweet wife does an excellent job in videoing!!!!!❤❤❤
We love being a part of a church family and we have received so much love and support from them we could never repay it all. We know it's just another of God's many blessings to us.
Thank you so much for your sweet comments and encouragement. It's great having you as part of our channel.
@@comesitatmytable9044 ❤️
Have you ever try adding some blue corn to your pancake, I add about a table spoon and half to my pancake mix and blueberries . Its good.erma
I was looking for a recipe for pancakes just the other day, and you made this video. Those pancakes look delicious, and I am going to try them. I usually eat Aunt Jemima pancakes, and I never knew how she got started with making pancakes. Also, the Holy Spirit used you about admonishing us to get into a church. I have not been to church since covid and currently attend virtually, but it's nothing like fellowshiping with the saints in church. I miss that and I was talking about finding a church home this week. Please pray that God leads me to where I need to be. God bless you and your wife, and may the blessings of God continue to be upon you.
You just made my day. I am so excited that you’ll be going back to church next Sunday. I wish Melissa and I could be there to go with you. We will be praying every day this week that God will lead and direct you to the church where you need to be. The church where we need to be is not always the most comfortable church or the one that will tell us what we want to hear. I know that God has just the place for you and He will take you there. 🙏🏻
I am 76 and was just invited to join a medical study on aging in people over 75. My husband will be 78. We are healthy and active. We love your channel.
FINALLY, someone who uses their finger to scrape out all the egg goodness from their shells! You are true blue!
I agree church is important, however with so many church's turning their backs on true doctrine, be careful not to be mislead. The bible is very clear on issues. Many church's are leading people astray. There is no room for compromise on the word of God!!!! If your church is comprising on doctrine don't walk run.
Agree 💯
I love pancakes! We had French Toast and sausage for breakfast this morning.sure wish the Aunt Jemima pancakes were still around. Loved her mix!!
Aunt Jemima pancake mix is still available. It was renamed Pearl Milling. And it's still delicious!!
I was going to say that as well!
@@orrmarie Thank you for that information. I will look for that ...but I will also make this amazing recipe.
Huge Amen to church and the family of God!! When I was growing up Saturday was dad's turn to make breakfast. We had pancakes and homemade syrup. We were always excited for Saturday!!
Wow! You touched on lots of great comments today! First of all, congrats on your 30 years of marriage!!! My hubby and I have been married for 38 years next month! It's hard to believe for us too. As far as church, I grew up in an amazing church family and have continued to stay in church in each place we have moved. Tom, you're right! Melissa, you're right too! Churches are made up of people and no one is perfect. I've always been told that if you find the perfect church, don't join it, because then it won't be perfect anymore. Of course, we know we won't find one, so it's not a problem. I'm thankful for the church family but even more thankful for the family of God due to what Christ did on the cross for us! I'm glad you, Tom and Melissa, feel free to share your personal thoughts!
I'm so glad that you have been doing these subscriber Sunday recipes! I've really enjoyed watching them!
Love pancakes! I was asking you where the butter was, like you could really hear me. Lol!😂
Happy ✨️ Sunday! I made your real creamy corn 🌽 pudding, and it was scrumptious! Everyone loved it ❤ Happy Pentecost 🕊🔥 Sunday! God bless you! 😊❤😊
I really enjoy y'all's videos. There's no "feeding a family of 10 on a dollar a day". No super food instructions. No use this, not that. No fancy recipes. Just good, wholesome food. Fantastic. Thank you for all you do.
I do love Tom and Melissa's videos but I also love those "feed your family on a dollar a day" type videos. Some of them have been really helpful for me and my family.
The pancakes look yummy!
Agree 💯 on church. The bond of your church community is a special one indeed.
Church family is a different breed of wonderful.
God Bless you two. You seem like soulmates. I am 62 also. It will be 37 years in August for my husband and I. We have 4 grown children, one grandson and one on the way. I am beyond blessed.
This is going to sound crazy but you would be surprised how many people don't know how to make popcorn from scratch not microwave. Could you please do a video about popping corn?
Yes! I make really good popcorn on the stove! It's so much better than microwave!
Yes please show a video for the popcorn. I have an ele. Stove (glass top) & its very hard to make on that. I make mine in the microwave but not the prepacked kind.
I love pancakes & will be making this for sure.
Thanks for this recipe Deb,and thanks Tom and Melissa for writing down the recipe for all of us
I'm sure my comment will be one of many but I just have to say, Tom, I can't believe you're 62. I just figured y'all had retired early. I would've guessed 52 & that's no joke. Good job Mellisa, you keep him young.😊
My husband loves to make waffles on Sundays. I'm going to get him to try this recipe. Thank you Deb, Tom & Melissa.❤
I fry up extra pancakes then toast them on the rack in my toaster oven, as "leftovers." Lightly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, yum!
Ooo, I love the idea of toasting them in the toaster. I’ll have Melissa try one of those tomorrow morning. Thanks for the suggestion.
I heat up leftover pancakes in the regular toaster. I like a crispy crust on my pancakes, so I fry them the first time in quite a bit of oil. I have a great pancake recipe mix that looks similar to these. I love fluffy pancakes!
@@tomwyant9297 You bet!
I'm sure I'm not the first to mention it but I don't believe you put the vanilla into the pancake mix lol love your channel!
Godspeed!
I did forget the vanilla, but they were still delicious!😃
Hi there, Tom and Melissa! Tom, I couldn’t agree more with your comment about church and the church community! I do a Friday morning zoom Bible study class that has been such a blessing in my life! These women are the kindest I’ve ever met and so supportive and wonderful❤️ 🙏🏻
The church family is a unique one and so much of a blessing. We have been tremendously blessed in our marriage and we are so grateful for the support from our church family all these years. I love that you have a zoom Bible Study class. How wonderful! You have, no doubt, connected with some great women of God. Thank you for sharing it with us and for being at the table with us.
@@comesitatmytable9044 oh Melissa, that’s wonderful to hear that you and Tom have had great connections with the wonderful group of fellow church members. And yes, my Zoom Bible study group is such a blessing! As I told you in a previous comment, I’m in the hospital recovering from knee surgery and these wonderful ladies sent me cards which really brightened my day. They sent it directly to the rehab center! I was thrilled to hear Tom bring up church on how important it is in that video! We don’t hear enough about that these days❤️🙏🏻
Thanks for this recipe Deb and thanks to Tom and Melissa for preparing it!
My mom made a syrup just like that, except using only white sugar. I think Brown Sugar would give it a bit more flavour!
I personally love Buttermilk Pancakes. I’m trying this recipe, but with Buttermilk! 😋
Yes I love my church ! Teachers of the word I’ve been listening to for 15 years . I love them so they always teach from the Bible ! 🙏🏻
Love a good pancake. Will be trying these. And yes to the freezer, both pancakes and french toast.
You forgot the vanilla in the batter.
Thank you for sharing
I was just thinking about making pancakes for supper today
So I will be trying
My husband and I was going about 70 miles away from our house to go to church then we both became unable to go
We sure miss our church
You know in 2001 I was told I had 18 months to live because cancer went from the colon to the liver but I am still here gavin GOD the Glory and honor
We know there's power in prayer and I appreciate all the prayer warriors
I took care of to young brothers and my mom who all passed away with cancer
I am so thankful that they knew Jesus CHRIST as Savior
One day we will have a beautiful family reunion in heaven
What a beautiful testimony you have and shared with us all. Thank you for that. You are a blessing to us all!
God Bless You My Sister in Christ…I bring my Petition before our Heavenly Father in the Mighty Name of Jesus…to touch you and bring a speedy recovery and a complete healing to your body. God Bless Barbara ☺️ 🙏🏻🎚️📖🙏🏻✝️💜✡️🙏🏻
Y'all are so sweet. I wish I had y'all as neighbors. You're so right Tom, church is very important and I try to never miss. Look forward to your videos everyday.
Thank you! That is so sweet of you to say.
We do appreciate our church family. The love and support we receive there is so important to us.
I was screaming at the computer yelling BUTTER, BUTTER..........So happy you put butter on it! LOL
Yea but he forgot to add the 1/2 teaspoon full of vanilla to the wet pancake ingredients.
@@otchdog98 I could have sworn he put it in. Oh well, not checking it.
I did forget the vanilla and they were still delicious! 😃
@@tomwyant9297 That is funny! I thought for sure you did put it in. I'd swear I saw it. LOL
@@tomwyant9297 oh Tom I never doubted that they didn't. They looked scrumptious
Well done, well said, love this series. Thank you!
Lol, no you can not have pancakes without butter. I was sitting here thinking, now where is the butter, and there came the butter. Those look amazing. I love pancakes and french toast, but I really love breakfast for supper. I enjoy watching you so much. I love warm syrup on them too and I have never thought about making syrup and even freezing pancakes, great idea and taking them out for a quick breakfast.
I love pancakes and have been needing a good recipe from scratch! The syrup recipe is an added perk. I look forward to the fellowship on Sunday and making melody in my heart to our Heavenly Father. He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels. Then we would not exist. Thank you Debbie, Melissa, & Tom! 😊
I’m a pancake enthusiast. Had homemade pancakes this morning. My recipe is almost exactly the same. They are indeed fluffy pancakes.
Awesome video ❤
So excited to try these pancakes. Want to tell Deb thank you for sharing! Just wanted to tell you I live 27 miles east of Carroll, Iowa! We are practically neighbors 😂
"YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH A RECIPE FROM AN IOWA GIRL!!!!
Im glad someone else is 62 besides me lol. I turn 62 in August. Going try these pancakes
Seems you left the vanilla out of the pancake just have to remake this next Sunday morning.😊
Please, no vanilla in pancakes!
The vanilla was listed as ingredient in both syrup and pancakes.@bbollig9288
No such thing as a misshaped pancake, no matter what they are great. I will make these next Saturday for my family when the come for breakfast. Yum
Wonderful better than grocery store
She not the only one who loves pancakes I love pancakes too they are so good
I've been making homemade syrup for decades. But I already know what I'm having for supper.

I'm your peers and I agree Melissa my brain says I feel 25. How did I get this old
I am 72, ten years older than you, and yet I feel like I am in my 30's (except wiser).
This is how I've always made my pancakes. Have never made the syrup though. I'll have to try it. Now my husband is asking for pancakes.😅 Amen about the church.

Those look very delicious! Oh my! I have my late Mom’s recipe for homemade syrup. It’s similar to that recipe. But I would like to add the Maple flavoring too. My Daddy loved Maple tasting things. Very interesting story about Aunt Jemima. Btw, I grew up in church. My Daddy was a Preacher and Mom was the Organ player and choir leader. You both are very right about going to church and being with God’s family. I love that scripture “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the House of the Lord.” Psalm 122: 1
May God bless you both! 🙏🏻
